"Whatâs the difference? Is he even more powerful?"
Xiaosuisui touched her head.
While trying to observe from atop Dafengâs back, she really couldnât tell how powerful the man in black at the bottom of the mountain was. It seemed that from the days she always felt sleepy and sweated excessively, her power had greatly declined.
"Heâs not more powerful, but the Clone at Wangwu Mountain was quite weak. This Clone is far stronger than that one. Be careful, Master!" As soon as Dafeng finished speaking, it promptly warned Xiaosuisui to be careful. Then, it suddenly plummeted from the sky. Xiaosuisui, caught off guard, fell as well.
Seeing this, the Emperor and Ji Youzhi dashed towards her, ready to catch Xiaosuisui. In the end, she landed in Ji Youzhiâs arms.
"What happened? Why did Dafeng suddenly become unstable?" The Emperor hurriedly asked as he checked Xiaosuisuiâs condition, continuing to probe, "Are you alright, daughter? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere? Were you scared?"
Xiaosuisui shook her head. "Iâm fine, Your Majesty, my foster father."
"If youâre fine, thatâs good." The Emperor heaved a sigh of relief and continued to inquire, "What on earth happened? Why did Dafeng act like this?"
"Itâs the Array!"
Before Xiaosuisui could answer, the National Masterâs calm voice was heard. He stood with his hands behind his back, looking at the sky. A thin, transparent shield flickered there, emitting waves of light.
"The Array?" the crowd gasped in unison.
"Yes, itâs the Array. It restricts airborne movement, preventing both humans and birds from flying," the National Master explained.
Princess Ataâs face turned grave as she involuntarily stepped back, breathing heavily. Xie PanâEr noticed her behavior, quickly reached out to support her, and asked concernedly, "Whatâs wrong?"
"The flying restriction Array is a very powerful one. Iâve read about it; even Grandmaster Level individuals may not be able to set it up!"
If even Grandmaster Level individuals might not be able to set it up, could there be someone here stronger than a Grandmaster Level? Everyone looked ashen-faced from the shock. People above the Grandmaster Level are supposed to be Immortals, right? As Immortals, they possess the power to move mountains and fill seas. How could they, mere mortals, stand against a Great Wizard Clone with the power of an Immortal? The fact that flight is restricted here, meaning even Dafeng couldnât fly upwardsâthis situation was frightening!
"The current situation is unfavorable for us!" Dugu said.
Ji Youzhi added, "But it is also unfavorable for the Great Wizard!"
All eyes turned to him.
Ji Youzhi said, "The Great Wizard has restricted flight, which means he wants to engage us in a deadly battle. I suspect that by now, the soldiers below have surrounded the entire mountain, ensuring none of us can escape."
Ji Youzhiâs assertion was confirmed by Xiaosuisui. "Yes, I just saw them disperse and guard every path down the mountain!"
"In this case, the Great Wizardâs Clone will inevitably come up personally," Ji Youzhi continued. "Then itâll be one against many. With so many of us here and only one of him, he wonât have much chance of winning!"
Princess Ata objected to Ji Youzhiâs analysis. "Seventh Prince, you may not have fully understood what I just said. The Great Wizard Clone at the bottom of the mountain possesses power beyond that of a Grandmaster Level. He is likely an Immortal Level Clone. An Immortal has a rapport with and can communicate with nature, and they can convert Spiritual Qi into Witch Power almost instantaneously. Such a being outmatches every single one of us here!"
Seeing Ji Youzhiâs complacency, Princess Ata directly pointed out the critical flaw in his reasoning.
"Are Immortals really that powerful? If so, are we doomed?" Dugu voiced his worries.
The National Master closed his eyes in concentration. He took out a compass-like round magical instrument from his hand and started deducing something using his mental power.
"What is the National Master doing? Whatâs that thing in his hand?" Dugu asked curiously, spying the round disc in the National Masterâs hand.
Ji Youzhi shook his head. "I donât know, but it looks similar to the compass my second sister-in-law has, yet also different. Itâs a Daoist Sect apparatus!"
Upon hearing it was a Daoist Sect apparatus, Dugu remained silent.
"This is a Deduction Instrument, a tool to break Arrays, crafted by my master. Youâve never seen one like it, have you?" Li Yanyanâs voice suddenly rang out, her expression smug.
Everyone glanced at her then quickly looked away. The little girlâs true colors began to show as soon as the wound on her bottom started to heal. They all tacitly chose to ignore her.
"You... what was that look? Are you looking down on me?" she demanded, furious, hands on her hips, glaring at Dugu, Princess Ata, and Ji Youzhi.
"Li Yanyan, youâre really something," Xiaosuisui, held in Ji Youzhiâs arms, said angrily when she saw Li Yanyan glaring at her dear Seventh Uncle. "You see their disdain for you, yet you still court trouble. Weâre all in grave danger, and youâre here flaunting yourself? How much do you love showing off!" She insulted Li Yanyan without holding back.
Hearing this, Li Yanyan opened her mouth to retort, "Whatâs it to you, you little jinâ"
"Li Yanyan, shut your mouth! Youâre not allowed to speak for three days!" Li Suisui shouted angrily, blinking three times in rapid succession, her pupils flashing with a hint of purple.
Seeing this, Li Yanyan was so frightened that her eyes and mouth widened. "..." She couldnât help but clutch her chest, her heart pounding with fright!
