The words of the South Border King undoubtedly gave the chief servant many possible speculations.
"Could Little Lucky Star possibly be the Heavenly Child?"
The South Border King shook his head. After doing so, he looked at the chief servant in surprise. "Does the chief servant know about Little Lucky Star?"
The chief servant nodded. "She is the young disciple of Feng Wushang, the National Master of Great Han. It is said that her birth was accompanied by heavenly omens, and she was born with extraordinary luck. Since her birth, her mother could even find money just by walking around! Her father advanced from being a handyman to a prominent shopkeeper. Then, this summer, National Master Feng Wushang divined her destiny, stating that she possessed a peculiar fate, was blessed with immense luck, and embodied the national fortune of Great Han. Therefore, he took her as his disciple."
"This summer? Wasnât that when Great Wizard Xunyang was at the border of Nanjiang and Great Han, setting up altars and performing rites, attempting to alter the destinies of both Great Han and Nanjiang?"
The chief servant and the South Border King exchanged shocked glances, their hearts pounding with alarm. "Could it be that the Heavenly Child is this Little Lucky Star?"
The chief servant and the South Border King believed they had discovered the truth behind the matter!
"Quickly! Send a message to Ah Ta right away! Tell her everything about this situation, and have her find a way to bring Little Lucky Star and the National Master to Nanjiang!"
The South Border King was extremely agitated, his eyes almost brimming with tears.
"Your Majesty, please donât worry. I will handle this matter myself."
After he finished speaking, the chief servant hurriedly bowed his farewell to the South Border King and then turned to leave.
On the Lone Mountain outside of Yunhang County, Xiaosuisui was still lying in bed.
Standing by her bed were Xie PanâEr and Princess Ah Ta. One was gently wiping Xiaosuisuiâs face with a cotton cloth, while the other was taking her pulse.
"Strange," Princess Ah Ta muttered with a grave expression. "I see nothing seriously wrong with her body anymore. Why hasnât she woken up yet?"
Upon hearing this, Xie PanâEr also looked worried. She stretched out her hand to touch Xiaosuisuiâs small face and said, "Suisui! Stop sleeping. Can you wake up now? Iâve dug up a lot of wild vegetables; Iâll make dumplings for you today, okay?"
"She doesnât like wild vegetables!"
The doorway darkened as the imposing figure of Ji Youzhi strode in from outside, a wild rabbit clutched in his hand.
"This is a little rabbit that looks a lot like Xiaobai. Seventh Uncle caught it especially for you. If you donât wake up soon, Iâll let your pretty sister here skin it, strip its meat, and roast it!"
When the little girl lived in Ling Village, she must have eaten mostly wild vegetables!
After she came to the Ji Family, even though she became a little foodie, they would carefully avoid these things she used to dislike.
Ji Youzhi placed the little rabbit next to Xiaosuisui. Almost instantly, the rabbit nuzzled against Xiaosuisuiâs face.
Xiaosuisuiâs brow furrowed tightly, and then her expression relaxed again.
Seeing this tiny reaction, everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief.
"Thereâs a reaction! Sheâs reacting! Thatâs wonderful, truly wonderful!"
Princess Ah Ta and Xie PanâEr were so excited they hugged each other, overjoyed by this small change.
"Any reaction is good!"
Ji Youzhi felt relieved. He grabbed the rabbit and went out.
Xie PanâEr and Princess Ah Ta were too preoccupied with Xiaosuisuiâs reaction to notice Ji Youzhiâs actions. When they came out of the room, they were met with the scent of blood. Their expressions changed, and they quickly headed towards the source of the smell, only to find Ji Youzhi skinning the rabbit.
"Seventh... Seventh Young Master! What... What are you doing?" Xie PanâErâs voice trembled as she asked.
Ji Youzhi shook the rabbit meat in his hand and said, "Iâm preparing the rabbit. Canât you tell?"
Xie PanâEr was speechless.
"Wasnât that the pet you caught for the princess?" Princess Ah Ta asked in confusion.
"She already has enough pets; she doesnât need this little wild rabbit. The problem right now is that no one has eaten meat for several days. This is perfect for a proper meal!"
Having said that, he handed the prepared rabbit to Xie PanâEr.
Xie PanâEr instinctively recoiled, her face still showing some anger.
Ji Youzhi knew what she was thinking, so he said in front of Princess Ah Ta, "PanâEr, none of us can cook as well as you. Whether or not the aroma of this rabbit meat can wake Xiaosuisui up depends on you."
Upon hearing this, Xie PanâEr subconsciously reached out and took the rabbit from him. She was always willing and happy to cook for Suisui.
