"Cough cough, how long have I been unconscious?"
Weak in every limb, every cell exhausted, Green struggled to sit up but fell back down helplessly, aided by a keen-eyed First Level Witch with golden wavy hair.
Greenâs three-colored light eyes glanced at the Witch; she had a certain charm, but her eyes were full of sorrow, avoiding looking directly at him.
"Gah gah gah, my Green Beast, I knew you wouldnât die! Youâve been unconscious for seventeen days now, and in one more hourglass, itâll be eighteen days. Want to sleep a while longer to round it up?"
Xiao Ba hopped on Greenâs shoulder, speaking.
Has it been more than ten days...
Supported by the Witch, Green leaned against the stone wall and looked around. Only a Magic Lamp hung from the caveâs ceiling, casting flickering shadows. About a dozen Wizards sat against the stone wall, heads lowered in utter silence, the atmosphere stiflingly oppressive, a sense of despair pervading.
"Where is this?"
Green asked the Witch beside him, who despite her despair, was still filled with Light of Hope. The Face of Truth clearly sensed the new life growing within her, and Green had a pretty good guess about what had happened to the Witch before.
For the child inside her, she wouldnât give up, the power of maternal emotions.
"Stigmata Sorcerer of the Oblivion Tower, weâre currently in a World Fragment connected to the Netherfire World,"
The Witch paused, caressing her belly, cautiously asking Green, "Master, do we... do we still have hope of leaving alive?"
At the end of her words, the Witch actually began to sob softly; she seemed like a Demon Hunter Novice, caught in the first mission during the civil warâs defeat on the Wizard side in the Netherfire World, while her partner, once pledging eternal love, had already departed.
"Nonsense, with Master Eight here, why ask such silly questions? Look at each of you, tsk..."
Xiao Ba grumbled unwillingly; nothing could shake the optimism of this creature, no matter how many years had passed. Xiao Ba had its own views on everything.
Green did not answer the Witchâs question, instead he looked at the Wizards who had completely fallen into despair, seeming to be waiting for death, lifeless.
"Hmph, whatâs wrong with all of you? Do you think the Wizard World has been defeated? Foolish!"
Greenâs words made a few Wizards in the cave look over.
Such lifelessness, like a candle about to extinguish, dim and weak.
"Indeed, those metal beings defeated the Wizard Legion within the Netherfire World. But no matter which continent you were guarding, or which Stigmata Sorcerer you followed, I must tell you, we did not lose! Just recently, thanks to top-secret information from the Wizarding Alliance, the Metal Destroyer trapped within the worldâs interior has been ambushed by the Alliance. We did not fail in the Netherfire World; we achieved an unprecedented victory for the Wizard World, where everyoneâs sacrifice completed its significance, including my Stigmata Sorcerer friend!"
Greenâs words had the previously lifeless Wizards in the cave lifting their heads, incredulously looking towards Green. Could it be true?
In the eyes of Low-grade Wizards, losing a world seems like an enormous failure, but from the perspective of a Stigmata Sorcerer, True Spirit Wizard, or even Endless Dominators, it is trivial.
Perhaps in the Metal Destroyer civilizationâs rear, the Wizarding Alliance had already conquered and destroyed two equally important worlds. Viewing gains and losses from a personal angle was meaningless.
Rising from the ashes, their bright eyes gathered towards Green. Such a thing, Low-grade Wizards had never imagined!
"Wow, when did this happen? How come I didnât know? Was the Netherfire World a bait!?"
Xiao Ba secretly asked, obviously startled by Greenâs words.
"I lied to them,"
Green naturally responded to Xiao Baâs secret transmission and continued without minding Xiao Baâs dumbfounded expression, "Now, as long as everyone stays alive, you are all part of this victoryâs creation. Future Wizards will eternally sing praises, honoring your deeds, as if you were Ancient Wizards who once saved the Wizard Worldâs peril. I swear, it wonât be long before, once I restore my peak strength, Iâll do everything I can to take you away from here alive!"
...
Several months later.
A baby boy was born in the cave.
To ensure that this fragile, newly born life wouldnât be snuffed out by the chaotic rules of the Foreign Domain, Green, having barely restored some Strength, supported an elementally controlled Space, protecting the infant at all times.
Consequently, upon inheriting the fatherâs surname per the Witchâs request, Green named the infant Antusimo and officially accepted him as his third disciple after Cappuccino and Heisuo!
...
Fifteen years later.
"Mentor, what happened?"
The black curly-haired Antusimo stopped his assigned task from Green, asking. The other Wizards in the cave also looked towards Green. Even Xiao Ba, who was napping, was woken by Greenâs low, excited voice and looked over.
Green halted his excited laughter and looked at his third disciple.
Unlike Cappuccino and Heisuo, Green watched Antusimo grow up, weaving his growth stitch by stitch, almost infused with paternal emotions; Green had indescribable emotional investment towards Antusimo.
Ruffling Antusimoâs hair, the fifteen-year-old was no longer small, yet in a parentâs eyes, he seemed still like the infant he personally delivered and sheltered.
"You must continue to strive hard; your mentorâs Wizard path has just made a significant step forward. Believe it wonât take long before you, your mother, and these uncles, aunts can return to the Wizard World together, see those Sorcererâs Towers, and meet your senior disciple and brother."
Antusimo pursed his lips, showing a face full of yearning, nodded excitedly, and continued practicing the Repulsion Attraction Dual Force exercises assigned by Green.
Xiao Ba flashed onto Greenâs shoulder.
"Did you break through?"
"Uh-huh!"
Green nodded, lowering his voice, "Just now, the Infernal Soul Bird Head grew its 256th head structure, and the Stone of Original Sin structure of the Annihilation Force has been completed. I have officially advanced to Level Five Wizard."
"Wow gah gah gah, with an Annihilation Force state of 2.5 times attack base on 550 spiritual power points, plus the previous breakthrough in Wild Instinct Level 5 physique, if you unlock the self-seal using the Element Surge Body-refining Wizardâs mutual enhancement of power, breaking through isnât impossible without the Trick Crystal Terminator present!"
Xiao Ba impatiently said, "Itâs a pity there are too few Wizards here to enhance your Nightmare Wizard spiritual powerâs fast recovery ability. Quickly restore all spiritual power; this tension is driving Master Eight mad. Your third disciple canât always interact with just these few people."
"Indeed..."
Green murmured to himself, then once more suppressed all his Magic Fluctuations to prevent the hidden mountainâs aura from leaking, closing his eyes to meditate. (To be continued.
