Chapter 1751: Chapter 343: Magic Power and Magicians Are All Arranged!
These young people are the âpreparatory coreâ of the future management and Sublimator team of the Silverpeak Domain. Each one is trained as an officer, never missing out on cultural education and loyalty training. They all deeply respect and admire Ian; some even tremble with excitement just seeing him appear.
"Donât mind me. Everyone, continue training. Iâm just here to take a look."
He said that, but how could he possibly just watch? Ian walked through the crowd with a smile, shaking hands and patting the shoulders of every trainee. Using the information from the Heart of Terra, he checked in with each one warmly.
Once everyoneâs emotions had calmed a bit, he waved his hand to indicate: "Continue with your training. The future of the Arcane Pathway rests on your shoulders. In the future, we donât want outsiders to look down on our domain. It all depends on whether your current efforts can solidify the foundation."
"Yes, sir!"
After Ianâs encouraging words, everyone was extremely motivated and immediately returned to their training, wanting to perform well in front of Ian.
The Prophet looked around; todayâs session seemed to be a power test. There were rows of stone pillars of varying heights on the training ground, entwined with special plant roots, incredibly strong. Even a First-Level Sublimator would find it difficult to shatter them, as they were building materials for key structures in Xiahui City.
Although they were just discarded construction materials, they were more than adequate as testing tools for the trainees.
"Boss!"
At this point, Green Tide, the instructor, excitedly waved when he saw Ian: "A great discovery! Come quickly, see what Miles has accomplished!"
"Donât make such a fuss, as if the leadership of Silverpeak Domain hasnât seen the world."
Ian admonished Green Tide, who felt somewhat wronged âI really havenât seen much of the world,â but it was clear neither took it to heart. The group moved to the area where the trainees were gathered earlier.
Here, Miles was sitting on the ground, panting heavily, while Loran was taking care of him, looking exhausted as if his own Spirit Energy had been drained as well.
"Sir...""Teacher..." Both of their spirits seemed dazed until Ian came over, and they noticed his arrival, struggling to get up, only to be pressed down by Ianâs hand: "Take a good rest."
Ian glanced to the side and saw, right in front of Miles, an area... of shattered rock debris.
It was evidently a massive stone pillar that had been completely pulverized by some immense force.
"A stone pillar, three to four meters high, about a meter in radius, utilizing Canaan Mooreâs Silver Pavilion Solidification Technique, with a toughness rivaling that of a solid iron pillar."
Squinting his eyes, the white-haired Prophet bent down to pick up a piece of debris, carefully examining it in his palm.
Ian estimated that for a First-Level Sublimator to completely crush such a solidified stone pillar into fragments, if itâs not impossible, at least one would need to have the same kind of cheat as he has.
Even for Ian himself, to smash such a solidified rock with brute force, he would have to gather power.
"Did you do this?"
Ian turned his head to ask Miles, and the young swordsman scratched his head, slightly excited as he recounted the events in detail: "Yes, sir!"
"Today is the power test. Instructor Green Tide said that it would pass if each of us could make a visible dent in the testing pillar. If everyone passed, he would take us to the newly opened ice cream shop in the city to eat to our fill and give a monthâs ice cream voucher to the first place."
"My sister... she likes ice cream, but itâs quite expensive, and she feels embarrassed to eat it. So I thought Iâd exert some effort, strive to be the first place."
Having said that, Miles raised his fist; his right hand was a mix of new and old flesh, and with Ianâs experience, it was easy to see that Miles had used force beyond his control, causing his entire right hand to âburst openâ from within. The only reason it appeared somewhat intact was thanks to Loranâs Holy Light healing nearby.
However, whatâs strange is that this ânew hand,â which seemed to have just been healed, appeared to be much more resilient than Milesâ other intact âold hand.â
Ian could tell that the strength of this new hand was at least thirty to forty percent stronger than Milesâ original hand. This was quite an impressive statistic, considering Milesâ physique was already at the level of a First-Level Sublimator; to be thirty to forty percent stronger brought him close to an average Earth Ascender.
"How much force did you use?"
Keeping this information in mind, Ian asked, and Miles replied candidly: "I gave it everything I had. Aside from Azure City, Iâve never gone all-out like this in my life."
"At first, I only used the Origin Quality refined from within my body, which allowed me to make a dent about the same as my classmates, perhaps slightly deeper, but it didnât guarantee first place. Then I realized the instructor didnât say we couldnât use Spirit Energy, so I wondered if I could use my Spirit Energy to amplify the impact of my punch, so I tried using it..."
"And then you almost killed yourself."
Next to him, Loran mustered a bit of strength to retort: "Bleeding all over. If I hadnât been nearby, you really wouldâve died!"
Ian raised an eyebrow, looking at Miles.
"Indeed."
Miles immediately lowered his head and admitted his mistake: "When I simultaneously activated my Spirit Energy, Life Spirit Energy, and the Origin Quality from my Essence Furnace Core, I immediately felt an extremely powerful, unbelievably vast energy erupt within me, causing blood to burst from my seven orifices. I almost lost consciousness at that moment. If Loran hadnât treated me in time, I wouldâve probably died then and there."
