Chapter 29: Confessions
Right now, Lily was furiously licking his lips and sometimes even kissing other parts of his face. She seemed to have completely lost herself as she mumbled between her kisses.
"Leo... uhm.. I love you... very much."
Itâs dangerous! I cannot let her lead this. If this happens, she will be in control of the relationship. I shouldnât let it happen, not when she is a yandere.
It isnât an entirely bad thing in my book, but I DONâT WANT TO BE LOCKED UP IN A BASEMENT FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!
He quickly turned her, and now he was on top, looking directly into her eyes. Lily was panting slightly, out of breath from the intense kiss she just gave him.
"Leo, more..." She said with a rebellious expression as if snacks had been snatched from a child.
So cute!!!
Leo thought after looking at her face
I want to do her right now, but I need to take it slow; itâs the first time for both of us.
"Lily, I love you very much. Please become my woman." He confessed not to leave any vague boundary.
She blinked, as if coming back to herself, clenching the back of Leoâs tunic with her fist.
Then she punched Leo lightly on the chest.
"Idiot..." she muttered, cheeks red. "You shouldâve said it earlier."
He chuckled. "I was waiting for the right moment."
She turned her head but didnât try to move away. After a while, their eyes met again.
Without saying anything, Leo leaned in, and she rose to meet him. Their lips pressed in a kiss that burned with sudden intensity.
This kiss was fiercer, more urgent than before.
Leoâs tongue grazed her lips and parted them open.
"Mfmmâ!" Lily was entirely unaware that even this was a thing.
Leo didnât stop and continued his movement; their tongues met, warm and slick, moving together in a way that sent a rush through them both. At first, Lily responded slowly, but soon got used to it and shared the same intensity as that of Leo.
Is she inherently adapting to it? Itâs very quick, I canât help but think itâs related to her talent.
He tasted herâa faint sweetness mixed with the heat of the momentâand slid his hand to her waist and pulling their bodies together.
Her body pressed into his, large curves against his frame, and he could feel her pulse quickening. Raising her shirt, he slipped his hand under to touch her skin directly.
Lily flinched at the sudden touch but then relaxed, hugging him closer.
Her hips shifted slightly, brushing against him, and Leo felt a surge of desire.
They broke apart at last, breathing heavily. Their forehead touched, and a thin strand of saliva stretched between their lips before breaking.
Lily spoke, panting but tinged with need.
"Donât stop, morâ"
"James! Come out, we have a legal notice for you." An authoritative voice rang from outside of restaurant.
Lilyâs words were cut off when they heard metallic clinks of boots from below, entering the restaurant and people being scurried out.
Lily clenched her teeth, her eyes glowing with murderous intent.
Leo could tell that Lily was very unhappy that their moment was ruined and she was ready to kill.
"Calm down, Lily. Letâs see what this is about. We will continue this later," He said with a playful wink and pressed a light kiss over her forehead.
Her anger dissipated when he kissed her.
"Mmm."

If they had paid more attention, then they would have recognised that it was Zoltonâs voice. His voice had taken a dramatic change after he had awakened. With his fatherâs backup and his own confidence growing after awakening, he had grown more arrogant in a matter of a day.
Yesterday, he didnât get what he wanted from the restaurant, the goons never came back, and when he sent Arnold to bring Lily, he too had disappeared somewhere. Due to all this, and his ego fueling him, he went to the Baron to get an excuse to get rid of James, who was the main culprit for all of this, according to what he had deduced.
The Baron, who wanted to get rid of James himself, saw the perfect opportunity and sent Zolton with a legal notice.
Now that all the customers had been sent away, and the only ones that remained were James, Sera, a few waiters, Zolton and his men.
Zoltonâs fox-like face and slitted eyes narrowed more, almost making his eyes close, and he looked to the surroundings before landing his gaze on Sera and licking his lips.
James narrowed his eyes and was about to step forward before Sera stopped him.
Zolton just huffed and began.
"Listen carefully, the notice states that this place will be demolished in 2 weeks to build a trade route, so empty this place by thenâ"
A vein popped on Jamesâ forehead as he said in a loud voice.
"Thereâs already a trade route going 3 blocksâ"
Zolton didnât listen and continued.
"The town will provide the owner with 10 silver coins as compensation. Additionally, it has been noticed that Beast Master James is not providing enough service in accordance with his title for the amount of monthly stipend that he gets from Beast Hall. So itâs declared that his stipend will be reduced to 50 Bronze coins from 15 Silver coins."
James was practically seething with rage as his forehead turned red, but he only held back because of Sera holding his arms tightly, and even he could see the suppressed anger in her.
Zolton just sneered at their reaction as he continued further.
"And itâs scheduled to demote James from a Grand knight to a mere knight if he doesnât fulfil a quest provided by the hall within the same week."
At this, Seraâs anger turned to dread, her hands started shaking, and her eyes wavered. She could, without doubt, tell that this was another ploy by Baron to kill her husband.
James couldnât hold back and smashed a table beside him with his fist.
