Chapter 41: Uneasiness
Then Leo looked around and found Lily and James looking at him. Lily looked especially fiery with the angry expression on her face. Finally, she snapped.
"You bastard!" she snapped, her voice sharp enough to cut stone. "Why do you always make me worried?"
She stomped forward and punched him on the cheekâsoftly. There was no real strength behind it, more of a pout than a blow.
Leo chuckled
But he noticed something else in her being, and he quickly brought out her status.

Great! She became more powerful.
"Youâre awake. Once again, thank youâfor letting me use the petal. It didnât just heal my soul; it elevated its rank too." He paused, glancing at Lily. "Seems like it worked wonders for her as well."
Leo could sense the genuine gratitude behind his words. He nodded with a faint smile. "Iâm glad it helped."
Once everything had settled, Leo turned toward the Elysian Bloom planted beside him. Its two remaining petals still pulsed faintly with life, radiant with otherworldly energy.
He stared for a long moment, then raised his right hand.
"Letâs try this..."
He concentrated and tried to link with his Spiritual Space, then, with a thought, he tried sending the flower somewhere on the island. And it happened, it was planted just beside where Niri was sleeping.
Ding!
>Elysian Bloom detected as a living target.Due to abundant ambient spiritual and mana particles, it will remain fresh indefinitely within Spiritual Soil.<
"Good!" Leo couldnât help but smile widely; he finally had his own inventory to store things, now nothing would go to waste.
He did the same with the Mistprowler Tiger and the nearby Cedar Treantsâ corpse. He even took the core of the Tiger from Shyraâs mouth.
The panther hissed in protest, her tail lashing like an angry whip.
Leo chuckled, patting her sleek black head. "Donât worry. Iâll make something better for you later. Just wait."
Shyra gave him a doubtful growl as if saying
âLast time you did that, you sold it!"
but quieted down as he unsummoned her.
A sudden pulse surged through the bond connecting themâsharp and bright. It wasnât pain, but exhilaration. Leo could feel her emotions clearly: surprise... and then pure joy.
He smirked.
Heh. Looks like she found the Island.
James and Lily looked at him with great interest, clearly intrigued by the fact that he was making things disappear. James was aware that he was probably storing them in his spiritual space. He just smiled pleasantly; he was happy for both of them. Leo for gaining an opportunity, and for Lily to finally get someone to lean on--she deserved it for the amount of pain she had gone through.
A strange uneasiness crawled over him. His body stiffened, and goosebumps spread across his skin.
He frowned. "...What is this feeling?"
His eyes widened as only one thought came to his mind.
"Sera..." He muttered as if lost somewhere.
Leo and Lily both noticed his reaction.
"What happened?" Leo asked.
"I donât know... but I suddenly feel uneasy, almost as if... as if--"
He stopped mid-sentence. Then he looked up sharply, locking eyes with Leo.
"Sera is in danger!"
A grim silence fell. Jamesâs complexion had turned pale, his breath uneven. The thought of something happening to Seraâthe woman who had shared his home, his loneliness, and his nightsâsent panic coursing through his veins.
Leo understood instantly. He knew that feeling too well. After all, his own soulmate bond with Lily allowed him to sense her emotions and distress. But who said people who didnât have a system cannot form one? Especially when they have been living together for years and shared intimate moments. At the end, he needed to kiss Lily to form the bond.
"This! Sir James, we should not ignore such warnings. We should head to her at once!" Leo said in an urgent tone.
Lily added, her tone resolute, "Yes, we cannot allow anyone to harm Miss Sera,"
James looked at both of them and nodded. Something told him he should run to Seraâs side as soon as possible. But the problem is that they are deep in the forest, and it would take at least half an hour for him if he ran at full speed. He was not built for speed!
Leo understood Jamesâ predicament, but he was confident in his speed. He put all his remaining points into agility.
Agility: 42.1 -> 50.1
Unassigned Attribute Points: 8 -> 0
"Sir James! I am going first, please come as fast as possible."
"Wait, Leo! Here."
Lily called out. She quickly raised her hand, summoning Lunaria once more.
The Hound appeared in a burst of shimmering lightâand then, to Leoâs surprise, its body dissolved into translucent wind-like particles that wrapped around him.
A faint bluish glow pulsed through his limbs as the wind barrier stabilised, faintly humming with energy.
"This will make you faster. Go!" Her voice urgent
Leo nodded once and bolted off.
A gust of wind exploded behind him as the air around his body howled from sheer speed. Trees blurred into streaks of green and brown, and within seconds, his figure vanished into the dense forest, leaving Lily and James behind.
Leo tore through the forest like a living storm, each step thunderingâBOOM!âas shockwaves split trees and shattered stone. Moving faster than sound, his blurred form left a trail of devastation, only held together by Seloriaâs translucent barrier, which sliced through air resistance and scattered the burning heat of his speed.
This was the power of a Beast Master, starting from the rank of Baron; people stepped into the true inhuman boundaries of strength.
