The Nightingale Bar returned to its usual lively state after the power was restored.
On the high platform on the second floor, the deputy of the Eagle Claw Association sat next to Reuben, and the two were discussing matters.
Reuben clipped the tip of his cigar with pliers, lit it with a match, and took a puff: "What did the people from the Iron Blood Alliance say?"
Deputy: "They are not very satisfied with the price."
Reuben cursed: "Damn it, I hardly ever do anything big, so whatās wrong with asking for a little more money? Tell them itās that price, take it or leave it. If they donāt want it, Iāll sell it to the people from the Black Domain Group, they will definitely be interested too."
The deputy complied. He pondered for a moment and then tentatively asked, "Boss, the fake box is stored in the warehouse over there, the real box..."
Reuben glanced at him coldly: "Donāt ask what you shouldnāt."
The deputy realized he had spoken out of turn and fell silent.
"I thought the Iron Blood people were generous in business, but it turns out theyāre just as tedious." Reuben extinguished the cigar in the ashtray and stood up, "Iām leaving. Keep an eye on things. Contact me if thereās anything."
Deputy: "Okay, boss, take care."
"Oh, right." Reuben pointed to a man smoking a cigar in the dance floor, "Before you leave, give that boy a beating for me. How can he smoke the same brand as me?"
Reuben went down to the first floor. He had drunk a bit too much earlier and went to relieve himself before heading home.
Coming out of the bathroom, Reuben saw a petite and slender figure standing in the corridor.
It was none other than KK.
KK had completely changed his appearance, wearing glasses, dressed in a pretty small dress, with lace gloves on his hands, and long, straight legs covered in white stockings, wearing black Mary Jane shoes, resembling a delicate doll.
That fair little face was still handsome without makeup, and the unpretentious innocence on his face constantly triggered a protective instinct in others.
Reuben passed by KK with a bland expression and casually whistled: "Hey~ little girl, coming to a bar at such a young age? Arenāt you afraid your parents will spank you?"
KK softly spoke; his crisp voice was full of embarrassment: "You got it wrong... Iām a boy..."
Reubenās previously indifferent eyes suddenly lit up, looking at KK with extreme surprise.
Faced with that burning gaze, KK slightly turned his face away, his thick eyelashes trembling like feathers, making his simple action all the more endearing.
"You... I... oh... I really didnāt recognize you..." Reuben felt his face flush, rubbing his cheeks incessantly, "What are you...?"
KK hunched his shoulders, his small face turning as red as a ripe apple, saying nothing.
Reuben tentatively asked, "Entertaining guests?"
KKās eyes dodged, and his head nearly drooped to his chest before he gently replied with a "mm-hmm".
This pitiful demeanor almost made Reubenās brain short-circuit from excitement. He walked over to KK and naturally put an arm around that slim waist, smiling as he asked, "Do you know who I am?"
KK trembled all over, slipping away from Reuben to hide at the side.
But soon enough, he felt he had overreacted, standing there with his head hanging low, at a loss for what to do.
If someone else resisted his embrace, Reuben would have slapped them long ago.
But faced with this delicate person, he simply couldnāt bring himself to be harsh.
Reuben opened his hands in a friendly manner: "Donāt be nervous. My name is Reuben, and Iām the boss here."
KK was taken aback, his voice filled with surprise and longing: "Youāre Boss Reuben? Oh my... they say youāre the King of Binhe."
No man can resist bragging in front of a pretty person, none.
Reuben boasted: "The King of Binhe? One day, I will become the King of the Borderlands!"
KKās eyes held shyness, and he stammered softly: "Then... the King of the Borderlands... would you... would you consider... taking me home tonight..."
Reubenās excitement surged like a rocket. He had just been wondering how to broach the subject, but he hadnāt expected the other party to throw themselves at him after hearing his reputation.
Turns out all those years in Binhe werenāt wasted!
"Of course, my bed is really big at home!" Reuben once again wrapped an arm around KKās waist.
This time, while KKās body was still a bit stiff, he didnāt break free.
Feeling KKās soft body and the faint fragrance emanating from him, Reuben was overjoyed.
Reuben took out his phone and made a call: "Hey, pass it on, Iām busy tonight, no calls. Even if the Iron Blood people want to talk business, it can wait until tomorrow."
After the call, he couldnāt hide the lecherous grin on his face: "Letās go, little beauty, Iāll take you home."
...
[1:02 AM, 58 minutes past the commission deadline]
Reuben drove KK back to his villa, made the bed in the master bedroom, and awaited the little beauty.
KK sat by the bed, speaking in a sweet voice: "Boss Reuben, do you have anything to drink? Iām a bit thirsty."
Reuben, being very generous, went to the kitchen to fetch two wine glasses, and upon returning with a bottle of red wine, boasted: "Crown brand red wine, 30,000 Moon Coins a bottle, the cityās wealthy love using it for banquets."
KK displayed an adoring expression, accepting the wine from Reubenās hand, and said in a sweet voice: "Future King of the Borderlands, let me pour your wine~"
Reuben laughed heartily, like an emperor, as he sat on the sofa, enjoying KKās service.
KK placed the red wine on the table, opened it with a corkscrew, and filled the two wine glasses.
Meanwhile, he used a blind spot in Reubenās line of sight to discreetly drop a small white pill into one of the glasses of wine.
The pill quickly dissolved in the liquid.
"King of the Borderlands, your wine~" KK handed the glass with the drugged wine to Reuben.
Reuben, unsuspecting, downed it in one gulp.
He put down the empty glass and patted his thigh: "Come, little beauty, sit here with me."
KK hurriedly said: "Let me take a shower first, it was a bit hot back in the bar, I broke a sweat."
Reuben shrugged: "Of course, use a lot of body wash, make yourself smell nice."
KK slipped into the bathroom, locked the door, and turned on the showerhead, creating the sound of running water.
The water ran for nearly half an hour.
KK suddenly heard a call from outside: "Little beauty, arenāt you done yet?"
KKās face changed, and he quickly pressed the communicator in his ear, lowering his voice to ask: "Bro, didnāt you say the pill you gave me was a hallucinogen?! How come heās still so alert after half an hour?!"
Su Moās apologetic voice came through: "Uh... maybe Reuben has a unique constitution, it takes longer to work on him, just wait a bit longer."
KK was genuinely anxious this time: "Donāt mess with me! Wait any longer and heāll have me pinned to the bed!"
Su Mo replied seriously: "Donāt worry, if you end up violated, Iāll pay compensation, big money."
KK was so angry he wanted to travel through the communicator and punch Su Mo: "Is this a matter of money?! My psychological trauma for an entire night... I really have no words, I should never have agreed to you dressing me up! What a rotten idea!"
Then, suddenly, there came a "thud" from outside, as if something heavy had fallen.
KK cautiously opened the door and peeked outside, finally breathing a sigh of relief: "Reubenās down!"
