The words Jackson said were extremely enraging.
Chuyi was genuinely worried that Jacksonâs words would provoke Mrs. Gu, so she strongly urged Mrs. Gu to return to her room to rest.
Mrs. Gu, who had just come out, was somewhat unclear about the situation.
"Jiaye, what exactly is going on here?" Mrs. Gu could not help but ask again.
Professor Bao furrowed his brows and did not answer; instead, he directly supported his wife and said, "Letâs go back to the room first, once weâre there, Iâll explain everything to you slowly."
"Chuyi, Iâll leave this to you," Professor Bao said to Xia Chuyi after that.
Xia Chuyi nodded her head.
Mrs. Gu still had some doubts in her eyes; she looked at Professor Bao, then at Xia Chuyi, and then at Jackson and his sister.
She knew that Professor Bao and Xia Chuyiâs decision must be for her own good and, in the end, did not object.
Mrs. Gu nodded and said, "Alright then, Iâll go back to my room first."
As her words fell, Professor Bao was ready to help Mrs. Gu back to her room.
The Master, equally unclear about the situation, looked at the scene and chose to follow Mrs. Gu back to her room.
However, just before leaving, she glanced at Old Sir Guan, signaling him to help Xia Chuyi keep the scene under control.
Old Sir Guan responded with a reassuring look to the Master.
"Maternal aunt!" Jackson saw Mrs. Gu and the others turning to leave and tried to call them back.
"Jackson!" Xia Chuyi shouted loudly, stopping him, and stepped forward, placing herself in front of him.
Xia Chuyi sternly said to Jackson, "The meaning of what the professor just said, I believe Mr. Jackson, youâve already understood, havenât you? Now, please leave!"
Jackson was subdued by Xia Chuyiâs chilling momentum and, for a moment, could not respond.
After a while, Jackson came back to his senses and quickly said to Xia Chuyi, "Miss Xia, I think you have too many misunderstandings about me."
"Doesnât Z country have an old saying, âBlood is thicker than waterâ?"
"After all, we and Third Uncle have the closest blood relationship."
"We truly care for Third Uncle, and there are no other intentions..."
Jackson tried to explain, but Xia Chuyi did not bother with him and watched him with a cold eye throughout.
Xia Chuyiâs indifferent demeanor not only affected Jackson, but Dao Anni at his side couldnât stand it anymore.
Anni, very angrily, placed her hands on her hips and said to Jackson, "Jackson, why are you explaining so much to her? We are of the Bao Familyâs blood, we naturally have the right to inherit the Bao Family estate, we donât need to talk to them in such a humble way!"
Having said this, Anni turned her head, looked at Xia Chuyi with a fierce expression, and continued, "Hey, an outsider, what right do you have to meddle in our Bao Family affairs?"
"I and Jackson, by law, have inheritance rights!"
"You despicable and foolish woman, have no right to interfere!"
Since Anni spoke in English, Mr. Guan could not understand.
But seeing Anniâs foot-stomping tantrum, Mr. Guan surmised she wasnât saying anything nice, so he frowned in confusion, looked at Xia Chuyi, and said, "What is this fair-haired girl saying in her bird language?"
"Master, if itâs bird language, then naturally itâs beastly talk," Xia Chuyi said with a smile directed at Old Sir Guan, responding calmly.
Xia Chuyiâs words left Jackson and Anni slightly taken aback.
The fake foreigners, brother and sister, didnât understand the connotation of "beastly," they just sensed from Xia Chuyiâs tone that it probably wasnât a nice word.
