Hearing what Ou ZhenTing had said, amazingly, Mrs. Ou gradually calmed down.
When Ou Jun and another arrived at the hospital, the first thing they naturally did was to visit Mrs. Ouās ward to assess her condition.
It so happened that the doctor was there, too.
"The patient is not in any major danger, but she did suffer a bit of a shock, resulting in a heart attack," said the doctor. "Once the patient wakes up, I suggest that everyone inquires about the source of the shock to ensure she does not undergo any further stress."
Ou ZhenTing and his sons quickly nodded their heads, "Of course, thank you, doctor!"
After the doctor left, a weight was lifted from the chests of the trio.
A while later, Ou Lianāer also rushed over.
"Mom, Mom..." As soon as Ou Lianāer walked in, she threw herself at her motherās bedside, sobbing uncontrollably.
Ou ZhenTing immediately frowned.
"Eldest brother, you guys go outside first, donāt disturb mom," Ou ZhenTing directly instructed.
Though the words were said by Ou Jun, Ou Lianāer knew they were actually meant for her.
"Dad..." Ou Lianāer called out tentatively.
Ou ZhenTing massaged the center of his brow, "You all go out, ask the chauffeur what happened."
"Having me here to watch over your mom is enough."
Ou Jun and Ou Cong exchanged a look, nodded, and then left the ward.
Seeing the Ou familyās members leaving, Ou Lianāer had no choice but to bite her lip and, with reluctance, followed them out of the ward.
This was supposed to be an excellent opportunity to curry favor with Mrs. Ou that was hard to come by!
Never mind, there was still plenty of time, especially since that bumpkin had not been officially recognized by the family yet.
After Ou Lianāer came out, she overheard Ou Jun asking the chauffeur about what had happened.
The chauffeur recounted the previous events.
"Two girls? What are their names?" After listening to the chauffeur, Ou Jun couldnāt help but frown and asked.
Hearing this, the chauffeur immediately became somewhat flustered, "Ah? Iām sorry, Captain Ou, I, I was too panicked then, I didnāt ask for their names."
Ou Jun frowned even deeper at this.
The chauffeur before them had been brought in to fill in temporarily because the familyās regular chauffeur had taken a leave of absence, so he was lacking in work experience in this area.
Ou Jun couldnāt really blame him for his lack of experience, so he had to ask again, "Did you get a good look at what they were wearing? What they look like? How old were they?"
"What they look like... I, I..." The chauffeur scratched his head. In the urgency of the situation, he hadnāt really paid attention to what the two girls looked like.
"However, they looked quite young, about the same age as Miss Lianāer!" This was the only detail he stated with certainty.
Upon hearing this, Ou Jun fell silent.
It seemed he would have to find another chauffeur for the family after he returned.
"Brother, do you think those girls could be Jiao Jiao and Xia Lan?" Ou Cong suddenly spoke up, unable to help himself, "After all, didnāt we just run into them as we were coming in?"
"Brother, could mom have seen Jiao Jiao and gotten excited, which caused her to fall ill..." The more Ou Cong spoke, the more he felt what he was saying made sense.
However, Ou Jun immediately cut him off, "Thatās enough, nothing is certain yet, weāll wait until mom wakes up."
"Brother!" Ou Cong called out.
Ou Jun glanced at him, "I know what Iām doing."
On the side, Ou Lianlian, who had been listening to Ou Cong and Ou Junās entire conversation, hung her head, hiding her somewhat anxious eyes.
What, mom had fallen ill because she saw Ou Jiao?
So, did that mean that Ou Jiao would soon be recognized by the family?
Ou Lianāer clenched her fists.
If Ou Jiao returned, wouldnāt she lose all her status?
