“Mom, you have to trust me. I’m just going to do less but it’s not like I really don’t care about anything. How about I’ll take charge of checking the contracts and you can be in charge of thinking of more ways to earn money?” Qiao Mei said after thinking for a moment.

“Then I’ll give it a try. If I really can’t do it, then you have to help me. You must check the accounts for the factory every month. I’m scared of making mistakes or missing out on something,” Li Gui said.

“I’ll do what you say,” Qiao Mei said with a smile.

After all, Qian’e was an outsider and not Li Gui’s daughter. No matter how good their relationship was, it was susceptible to falling apart one day if there were any disputes. “I’ve already found someone to design the logo, using the image of an osmanthus flower. I’ll leave the matter to Deng Fan. We’ll probably get something in two days,” Qiao Mei said.

“What has Xia He been doing during this period of time? When is she getting married to that kid, Deng Fan? I want to buy her a gift,” Li Gui said.

“I have been so busy that I forgot about Xia He’s upcoming wedding. I have to buy a gift for Xia He too. Maybe… maybe I’ll buy her a big sofa!” Qian’e said happily.

Qiao Mei covered her face and smiled. Those who did not know better would think that Qian’e was in charge of the betrothal gifts! Xia He did not lack anything, but the couple did need furniture for their new house. Deng Fan may even want to design the furniture himself. Anything they bought for the couple might not match the style Deng Fan had in mind!

“Then you might as well just give Xia He money,” Qiao Mei teased.

“Money? That’s two different things altogether. I’ll still give money as a gift. If a sofa is not a good idea… then I can buy a big color television! There are only a few different models available so I can’t go wrong with that!” Qian’e said.

No one knew how Xia He would react if she received a big color television from Qian’e. She would probably be very shocked. After all, Xia He would not expect Qian’e to put all their past behind her and attend the wedding ceremony.
