"Hit them!" said Melody.
Jayâs team swept the enemy from the left, and Eidâs team hit the enemy from the right.
Ragna and Eidâs team guardian actually approached Christina, ignoring even the people from Nartâs team. They came as reinforcements, creating a wall that not a single beast could pass.
On the other hand, Erwin and Aileen charged ahead, killing one after another.
Erwin and Aileen hadnât done anything unusual, but their speed was unbelievably fast.
Erwin controlled the beastsâ movements with his wires, while Aileen disappeared and reappeared again and again. Every time she swung that short sword, a life was taken. There was no beast that could withstand even a single blow.
Her strength had gone to a level equal to Erwin, who had a brain affinity. On the other hand, Erwin had also reached Tier 6. Instead of pursuing the same path as Jay, he actually changed his fighting style a bit.
He sent a wire to one beast and used his strength to direct this beast to another one, causing a crash that killed the momentum of other beasts behind them.
From time to time, he even sent a wire to help Aileen navigate, which increased his efficiency.
And Melody was there to guide them. Of course, it couldnât be done unless they knew each other a lot and trusted them with their lives.
Meanwhile, Kanaria remained still. Her target was fleeing beasts, but not a single beast had been spotted yet.
Last but not least, Jay. He didnât follow the team, but he was directed to the enemyâs rear, killing the beasts from behind.
As expected, Jay had grown his strength a lot. In addition, his equipment had been replaced with new ones, increasing his strength even further. As a result, he slaughtered the beasts with little to no resistance.
The same thing occurred on the other side. Eid took down one beast after another, his movement so smooth that if people watched him, they would only see his afterimage.
On the other hand, the two Tier 7 humans under Eidâs command struck from the side, rampaging through the enemyâs ranks like nobodyâs business. Then again, they were Tier 7. Even though the average tier of beasts in this area was high, it didnât mean anything to them.
When Clovis saw their engagement, he found out Melodyâs real aim. This was actually a killing zone.
Melody sent their toughest fighters to the front to stop the beastsâ movements. Once they stopped, the teams swept in from the side to contain them. Then, Jay and Eid became the killing arrows.
Of course, they would be able to turn around and escape, but they had to turn around, which meant they had to handle the two Tier 7 humans and Erwin and Aileen.
Even if they were able to do it, most would have died, and they, too, would have become the prey of the rangers.
Kanaria and the ranger from Eidâs team were already waiting, but it looked like the beasts couldnât escape. All of them were contained and slaughtered without mercy.
Clovis was able to see this because of his Abyss Time, but Melody had changed completely. Her method had become bolder and the execution was perfect.
Melody even gave directions to each member as if she were able to see which one was about to escape.
For the last 18 months, Melody had learned a lot of things. It was true that she honed her fighting ability, but Melody knew that her focus was not there.
She was never a combatant. As a result, she only refined her ability to the level where she could protect herself and used the rest of the time to train her affinity.
She had the Brain Affinity, which meant Bones and Heart could be her secondary affinity, but she didnât choose any of it. Instead, she focused on her tertiary affinity, Blood.
Yes, Melody was utilizing her tertiary ability like Clovis. Even though it wasnât as effective, it was enough to slow down her time for a bit.
Melody was typing quickly, her eyes didnât even blink. In her mind, there was a 3D image of the battlefield where she could see all the details of the battlefield. It was as if she saw the world from a third perspective.
The radar, the number of enemies, the allies, their movements... Everything entered her vision as if all of it were a simulation. And she was there to control how the simulation would be played.
Even Clovis got a chill down his spine.
"Are you serious, Melody?" Clovis sucked a cold breath while turning around.
"What?" Rin tilted her head in confusion, not understanding what was going on.
Melody closed her eyes for a moment. She was sweating. Melody hated sweat simply because she was the type of person who could sweat even if she was just sitting without doing anything in a cold room.
Yet, such a person chose to do something that resulted in what she hated.
Melody remembered Danteâs figure. His smile at that time was unforgettable.
"Sister. Thank you for everything. I donât know how to thank... ehm, Mr. Clovis? Thatâs why I want to be useful to him. This way, I can thank him... for saving me... so that you donât have to cry anymore. Thatâs why I donât want to be a burden to you anymore. I just want to be someone who can make you smile every day."
Melody was moved. She chuckled, "You donât have to worry about that. I will be the one repaying him. Do whatever you want, Iâm always proud of you."
Melody finally opened her eyes before wiping the sweat off her forehead. "Well, Iâve been slacking because I hate sweat, but the real reason is just... that I want to make myself presentable when visiting Dante.
"But it doesnât matter anymore." Melody winked her eye playfully. "You donât have to do everything anymore. I will be your eyes. Do whatever you see fit, and I will bring you to that outcome. Of course, if you are trying to be reckless, I will just find a way to avoid that."
Clovis smiled. "I will rely on you then."
He was impressed with the growth of everyone. Although he still couldnât see their full strength, he became more confident in finishing the mission. But of course, the danger was right behind them.
