A group of people was packing their luggage fast. "Letâs go."
"Thereâs nothing we are supposed to do here."
The team had agreed, but before they could take their leave, they felt many presences surrounding their hideout.
"Stop! We know you are there. Come out and we wonât hurt you!" A middle-aged man asked aloud.
When the leader heard this voice, he couldnât help but look out carefully, only to find the entire place surrounded.
There were at least 40 agents outside, with five of them being Tier 8 humans. There were a dozen Tier 7 humans and the rest were at lower levels. In addition, the area had been secured, and more and more police were coming as backup.
"..." The middle-aged manâs expression turned ugly.
Such a scene was happening all over the country. They mobilized all Tier 8 humans they could to hunt down the criminals who had sneaked into their country.
While they were cracking down on the organizations, Rena was meeting with Clovis.
Clovis smiled. "Itâs good to see you again. Surely, you donât mind coming and staying here for a bit, right? Maybe one or two weeks."
Rena smiled wryly. "Of course. I am ready to stay for a while. Is there anything youâd like me to do?"
"Nothing much. Just help us organize things here." Clovis shrugged.
Rena nodded in understanding. Ever since Clovis conquered his city, she had gotten used to handling this kind of task. "I can do that."
"Great."
"Sir. If you donât mind, I have a few questions."
"Sure." Clovis nodded.
Renaâs expression turned serious. "Why are you doing all this? I mean, I understand the reason, such as fooling your enemies. However, I just donât think these are all your reasons."
It looked like Rena had gotten along with them so well that she noticed Clovis had a different agenda.
Clovis simply chuckled. "Well, there are two more reasons, but keep this a secret for now."
"Understood."
"First, I want people not to bother me for some time. During that time, I want my people to reach Tier 8 and I think itâs possible."
Rena could understand the reason. People knew Clovis had been growing exponentially.
If he were left alone, he would get strong enough that they couldnât do anything to him anymore.
The moment Clovis reached Tier 9, people would fear him. After all, the Hacfield family would have two Tier 9 humans, not to mention the Elseingarde family.
The coalition of the two families would cause the world to fear them.
So, Clovis wanted to take this chance to focus on reaching Tier 8. This way, there were not many people who could kill them.
And if they tried to stop him, they would be the ones to suffer.
Still, Clovis had a third reason. Renaâs expression turned solemn. If this was just the second reason, she thought how important the third reason could be.
Rena gulped.
Clovis grinned. "The third reason is pretty simple, honestly. I am trying to find the last member of the Libation Fiesta."
"Finding the last member of the Libation Fiesta?" Rena certainly didnât expect this answer. "Do you mean the Libation Fiesta will have a maximum of 12 members?"
"Yes. It is perfect for two small groups." Clovis acknowledged it.
Rena thought for a moment. "May I know who the last member is?"
Clovis smiled and came closer, whispering her name. "Mara Leverstrike."
"!!!" Rena widened her eyes in disbelief. "What?"
Clovis put his finger to his mouth, gesturing for her to lower her voice.
Rena hurriedly covered her mouth before asking in a low voice. "Sir... but..."
"You donât have to worry about anything. She and I have an agreement already. I donât know if itâs possible anytime soon, but once Iâm done with my plan, she will definitely join the Libation Fiesta."
Rena simply couldnât believe it. She knew how powerful Mara Leverstrike was.
She was the youngest Tier 9 human in the world, but she was also known to possess the strongest offensive power.
If the Libation Fiesta indeed had Mara Leverstrike, it meant they would have at least three Tier 9 humans in one group.
Rena felt like the boss she was serving had just become even more terrifying. It was no wonder that he didnât want anyone to look at him by making them focus on the paintings.
This way, they wouldnât be able to figure out what he was doing. And when Mara suddenly joined them, the world would be shocked.
At first, she thought Clovis just wanted to get strong enough that the world couldnât bother him anymore. But it looked like Clovis was ready to conquer the world.
"That... Should I handle the process right now?"
"No. I will tell you the right moment, but I need you to keep this a secret. I only told you because I trust you, but if anyone knows, even if that person is the president, that will be the end of our relationship."
"Y-Yes!" Rena nodded furiously. "I wonât tell a single soul. I will even abstain from any alcohol for the time being!"
Clovis chuckled. "In any case, once weâre done with this bullshit, people will realize they have been tricked by the Libation Fiesta. At that time, no one will provoke the Libation Fiesta, worrying that this is another trick from us.
"This way, they will have to think twice before provoking us, giving us the time to grow."
"Yes, sir!" Rena felt like she had just heard something beyond the top secret of the country. "I will do my job for now."
"Sure." Clovis waved his hand.
His plan didnât stop here. He had a few other plans in place, revolving around the mall.
Aileen appeared next to him. "Do you want me to tail her?"
"No. I trust her. Besides, her background is clean. The country must have chosen her very carefully."
"Well..." Aileen couldnât refute his argument. "She is an orphan, with no more relatives in this world. The country saves her and takes care of her, which makes her grateful. We have paid her enough to the point where she doesnât need to worry about money.
"And she doesnât have any romantic relationship right now, so there should be nothing that can be used to entice her for now."
"Yeah. Well, we need Melody to finish the reconstruction of the data from the Tower of Darkness first before we know how to proceed." Clovis nodded. "Letâs go back. If she ends up being a traitor, for whatever reason, I may have to ask you to do that last step."
"Thatâs supposed to be my actual job." Aileen shrugged.
