"That should be the group from Su City Second Middle School."
Xie Ning briefly introduced both sides. "Iâll drive this time. Tai Xian..."
"Yeah, got it. Zong Xuan and I will follow you. Sis, where are we going?"
"To a nearby instant noodle factory. Itâs only ten minutes away, so itâll be quick."
It was because Xie Ning had been there in her past life that she knew the factory had stockpiled plenty of raw materials before the apocalypse.
Their inventory was so large and poorly managed that they had even stuffed several rows of storage containers into the underground parking garage.
When Xie Ning and the others had found the food inside, it had already spoiled and was inedible. The memory was still heartbreaking.
"Donât worry. Anyone who genuinely pulls their weight will get a share of the food."
Annie had wanted to say something, but after hearing Xie Ning, she shut her mouth.
The group quickly piled into three cars and left the competition venue, following Xie Ningâs lead.
Xiao Huang Mao sat in the passenger seat, glancing occasionally at the toppled street signs on the side of the road.
"Is it the industrial park past the traffic light?"
Xie Ning nodded. She was driving extremely fast, and when she saw a zombie staggering out from the roadside, she stomped on the gas and shot past it.
THUMP, THUMP. The sounds came from behind them.
Xiao Huang Mao turned his head and grinned. "Tai Xianâs driving is a lot like mine."
Soon, the car entered the industrial park through a side gate, stopping at a warehouse near the processing plantâs back entrance.
Xiao Huang Mao looked up at the sign, his expression suddenly turning to excitement. "Sis! Sis! Thereâs a big pharmacy right next to this! Shouldnât we go check it out?"
Xie Ning nodded. It was always good to gather more medical supplies, and since theyâd stumbled upon this place, there was no reason to pass it up.
The group ran to the entrance. After Xie Ning broke the brass lock off the glass door, Annie was the first to charge in, immediately grabbing things off the shelves.
Xie Ning paid her no mind and turned to instruct the others, "Everyone grab what you can. Tai Xian."
"Right, right, Sis! Iâm on it!" Ji Taixian strode quickly inside.
"This is unbelievable. This place hasnât been looted, and there arenât any zombies?"
Song Youâaiâs muttered words were a startling reality check, causing Xie Ning to pause for a moment.
She then quickly opened the door to the small stockroom and slipped inside for a look.
She loaded box after box of common medicines into her Spaceâfever reducers, cold remedies, cough medicine, anti-inflammatories, and the like. She then added a selection of various other strange and obscure medications.
Xie Ning also stored an oxygen concentrator and a blood glucose meter, and in the end, she didnât even pass up the crutches and wheelchairs.
Xie Ning piled all this medical equipment and the boxes of drugs in an empty spot next to a TV cabinet, along with the supplies she had previously gathered from several small pharmacies.
Glancing around her personal villa, she thought, âGreat. It really looks like a peddlerâs stall, a chaotic jumble of everything imaginable.â
By the time she came out, the shelves had been ransacked, with items scattered all over the floor.
Annie and another man were trying to snatch a box of asthma medication from Ji Taixianâs hands. "Youâre a Superpower User, why are you fighting us for this? Youâve already put so much in your Space!"
"Yeah, give us these two boxes. We can trade them for food later."
Ji Taixian was furious. "Why do you need these? I have a friend who actually has asthma! He might need this!"
"What friend? I think youâre just making things up." Annie and the man gripped the medication tightly, refusing to let go.
Xie Ning frowned, picked up a box of medicine that had fallen on the floor, and casually stuffed it into her backpack.
"I suggest you let go. Can those plastic bags of yours even fit anything else?"
