Chapter 630: Something was off
âYou⊠what the hell are you talking about?â The slightly chubby vampireâs brow furrowed in disbelief. âIf Lord Crimson Count finds out about this, heâll wipe you all out!â
âMaybe he could, maybe he couldnât,â Lilâ B grinned wide, flashing two rows of razor-sharp teeth. âBut right now⊠Iâm gonna wipe you out.â
The vampiresâ faces twisted in shock. Tens of thousands of zombies had just turned traitor, and now the terrifying American Zombie King had entered the fray. What came next was anyoneâs guessâbut it sure as hell wasnât gonna be pretty.
The chubby vampireâs heart pounded with fear. For the first time, he was truly scared.
âWait, waitâmaybe you should think this through. If you stick with us vampires, youâll be on the winning side. Weâve got an endless supply of fresh blood and meatââ
SMACK!
Lilâ B didnât let him finish. He swung his claw hard across the vampireâs face, tearing off a huge chunk of skin.
He hadnât even planned to bring that upâbut now that the vampire mentioned it, the rage boiled over.
âYou tossed us bones like we were dogs, and laughed in our faces. Iâve had enough of that shit. Brothersâkill them all!â
The zombie horde roared in fury. Years of pent-up resentment exploded all at once as they charged the vampires like a pack of starving wolves.
âDonât do this⊠Bruno, give me one more chance!â the chubby vampire begged, his voice trembling.
âChance my ass!â Lilâ B snarled, then drove a boot into the vampireâs gut.
The blow landed with brutal force, folding the vampire in half like a shrimp and sending him skidding across the floor.
The surrounding zombies couldnât hold back any longer. They pounced on him like beasts, claws slashing, teeth tearing. In seconds, he was ripped to bloody shreds.
âAAARGHHâ!â
The vampireâs scream was bloodcurdling.
But to Big G and Lilâ B, it was music to their earsâsweet, satisfying revenge.
Of course, not all the vampires went down without a fight. A few of them, core members of the clan, started pushing back. They werenât weak by any means.
Especially Patriarch Malrick.
His face twisted with rage, veins bulging, eyes glowing blood-red. With a snarl, he swung his claws, swatting away the charging zombies like flies.
Then, with a powerful leap, he launched himself out the window like a missile.
But the streets outside were swarming with zombiesâthere was nowhere to run.
He grabbed the edge of the window frame and scrambled upward, heading for the hotel rooftop.
âYou think you can kill me that easily? Not a chance!â
Malrick was an S+ level powerhouseâone of the strongest beings on Earth. He climbed fast, even with the icy wind cutting through the air and frost coating the walls. His claws dug into the frozen concrete like it was soft clay.
The elite zombies chasing him didnât have that kind of strength. They barely made it a few feet before their claws slipped, sending them tumbling down and crashing into the horde below.
âHmph.â
Malrick smirked, glancing up. The rooftop was just ahead.
He picked up speed, bounding upward. With a final leap, he grabbed the edge of the roof, ready to flip himself upâ
But then he froze.
âHuh???â
His crimson eyes widened in shock, his face going pale with fear. It was like heâd just seen something impossible.
Because standing on the rooftop, looking down at him, was a man in white.
Heâd been waiting.
Ethan stared down at Malrick, sizing him up with a calm, almost bored expression.
âNot as good as Monroe,â he muttered.
Then, with a flick of his wrist, a katana materialized in his hand. Energy surged through it, and flames burst to life along the blade.
He swung.
A blazing arc of fire slashed through the airâand through Malrick.
âAAARGHHâ!â
Malrick screamed as he lost his grip and plummeted from the rooftop, arms flailing, eyes wide with despair. His cries grew fainter as he fell.
Below, the zombie horde howled in anticipation, jaws snapping, waiting for their next meal.
Moments later, Malrick hit the swarmâand vanished beneath the sea of undead.
The chaos didnât last long. Within minutes, the entire vampire clan had been wiped out.
Not a single one survived.
Ethan stood tall atop the high-rise, draped in a white fur coat that fluttered gently in the wind. His arms were folded across his chest as thick snowflakes swirled around him, drifting past like silent ghosts.
Below him, the streets and rooftops were packed with terrifying zombiesâthousands upon thousands of them. All of them had their heads tilted upward, staring at him with a strange, unified awareness, as if drawn by some invisible force.
In the middle of the street, Lilâ B stood drenched in blood, holding the severed head of the chubby vampire by the hair. His eyes gleamed with manic excitement.
âALL HAIL OUR NEW BOSS!â
He raised the bloody head high and let out a triumphant howl.
âROOOAAARRRâ!â
The entire zombie horde erupted in a deafening roar, their voices shaking the very air. Even the falling snow seemed to tremble from the sheer force of it.
Ethan didnât react. He simply turned his head, his calm gaze shifting toward the northern border. Far off in the distance, the sky was churning with dark clouds, rolling and boiling like a storm about to break. Something massive was comingâanother wave of the undead, even more terrifying than the last.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the U.S., the invasion hadnât stopped.
More and more zombies were pouring in, wave after wave.
The Crimson Countâs adopted sons and daughters had begun to move. Some were attacking Mount Elbert. Others were heading straight for the former North American headquarters of Genesis Biotech.
Their strategy was brutally simple: flood the enemy with an endless tide of corpses. No finesse, no tacticsâjust relentless, overwhelming force.
Near the Genesis Biotech compound, a female vampire stood watching the towering buildings in the distance. Her dark red eyes burned with bloodlust she could barely contain.
Her name was Ravenaâone of the Crimson Countâs adopted daughters.
âMy lady, thatâs the old Genesis Biotech HQ up ahead,â a zombie underling reported. âItâs currently occupied by the strongest Zombie King in America.â
âPerfect,â Ravena purred, her excitement rising.
Among the Crimson Countâs children, Ravena was infamousâa complete lunatic. She didnât just love killingâshe loved playing with her prey. Like a cat toying with a mouse, sheâd draw out the fear, savor the screams, and only then deliver the final blow.
Her eyes scanned the compound. She could see movement inside the tall buildingâfigures shifting behind the windows. Down in the courtyard, human guards patrolled the perimeter, weapons in hand, alert and ready.
âSo this is what the so-called strongest Zombie King left behind?â she sneered. âHe must be dumber than I thoughtâŠâ
The guards looked like nothing more than appetizers to herâbarely a warm-up.
A zombie lieutenant beside her chuckled. âDoes he really think a few humans can hold us off? That American Zombie Kingâs living in a dream.â
âWell thenâŠâ Ravenaâs grin widened, her expression twisting into something wild and unhinged. âLetâs make this fun.â
Behind her, the zombie horde let out a bloodthirsty roar and surged forward like a tidal wave, crashing toward the Genesis Biotech compound.
The outer perimeter was surrounded by towering walls, topped with high-voltage electric fencing.
But the zombies didnât care.
They climbed the walls in droves, throwing themselves at the barriers. Sparks flew. The air filled with the crackle of electricity and the stench of burning flesh.
Dozens were fried on the spot, smoke rising from their twitching bodies.
But the rest kept comingâunstoppable.
âThis pathetic little trick? Might as well not even bother,â Ravena scoffed.
BOOM!
She lifted her leg and kicked the front gate with monstrous force. The iron doors exploded inward, crashing to the ground in a cloud of dust and debris.
Her vampire lieutenants charged in behind her.
The moment they spotted the human guards, their eyes lit up like wolves spotting prey. They lunged forward, mouths open wide, fangs gleaming.
But the moment they bit downâsomething was off.
Instead of warm, delicious flesh, their jaws tore into something soft and fibrous. White strands clung to their teeth like cotton.
âWhat the hellâŠ?â
