After Lin Haifeng finished speaking, he didn’t offer any more explanations but instead put on his coat and walked out.

At the door, two of Lin Haifeng’s personal guards saw him leave and immediately saluted.

Lin Haifeng turned to one of his Peak Level 3 guards, exchanged a few words with him, then left the military building with Wen Yu.

Outside, Lin Haifeng’s personal car and driver were already waiting at the door.

"Together?"

"Forget it, I’ll drive myself."

Lin Haifeng nodded.

"Then follow me; it’s quite a long trip."

As Lin Haifeng had mentioned, the journey was indeed long.

The two vehicles traveled for three hours, driving well beyond the Yanjing Assembly Site’s boundaries before finally stopping in front of a huge factory complex.

Seeing Lin Haifeng get out of the car, Wen Yu also stepped out.

"This is the place," Lin Haifeng said slowly, pointing to a vast factory building ahead.

Looking at the surroundings, Wen Yu noted that the factory’s exterior walls were new, as if built after the apocalypse began. What puzzled him, however, was the complete lack of any signs of people coming or going.

Noticing Wen Yu’s somewhat confused expression, Lin Haifeng chuckled.

"Come with me."

With that, Lin Haifeng led the way towards the factory entrance.

As soon as Lin Haifeng reached the factory door, something resembling a camera popped out from a crevice in the door, scanning his body with red beams of light.

After a moment, two electronic beeps sounded—BEEP! BEEP!—and the factory door swung open, revealing a dark passage inside.

Lin Haifeng explained, "This factory complex was completed only recently, and what’s inside is highly classified. That’s why I didn’t station a large task force here.

"One, we were short on time. Two, we didn’t want to attract attention. And three, we simply don’t have enough military personnel...

"But we do have an Elite Team here, one of our military’s top teams.

"You’ve met the team leader."

Hearing Lin Haifeng’s explanation, Wen Yu nodded.

"Fang Wenhai, right?"

"Yes, him. He led the team that was clearing the central area last night. They’re a force I organized after the apocalypse began, a combination of professionists and modern equipment. Ever since we discovered this treasure land a week ago, his team has been responsible for its security and for carrying out missions inside."

Hearing Lin Haifeng’s words, Wen Yu nodded in understanding.

"What kind of missions?"

Lin Haifeng didn’t reply, merely leading the way into the dark passage.

The passage wasn’t long. They had walked for less than a minute before reaching its end.

There, a line of soldiers guarded the passage entrance. Upon seeing Lin Haifeng, they immediately saluted.

Wen Yu observed their military uniforms; they were the same style as Fang Wenhai’s. These were most likely the special forces Lin Haifeng had mentioned.

As Wen Yu followed Lin Haifeng into the factory’s interior, the scene inside unfolded before his eyes.

The most striking feature was, undoubtedly, the towering entrance to a treasure land standing in the very center of the factory! It was nearly thirty meters high, with silvery light constantly flowing around it.

Other than that, there was nothing else...

But upon seeing this treasure land entrance, Wen Yu frowned.

"This treasure land’s entrance seems a bit small."

It really is a bit small,

he thought.

Based on its size, it doesn’t match the scale of a Super Treasure Land and could barely be considered a large one!

Hearing Wen Yu’s comment, Lin Haifeng shrugged.

"A treasure land’s entrance is just an entry point, after all. Actually, the Treasure Land Protector here is quite interesting. When this place first opened, the entrance was nearly 200 meters in diameter—truly towering into the clouds!

"We then had our experts communicate with the Treasure Land Protector."

Lin Haifeng smiled at Wen Yu. "Guess what?

"Let’s go. In we go."

With that, Lin Haifeng was the first to step towards the treasure land entrance. A flash of silver light, and his figure vanished.

Wen Yu closely followed Lin Haifeng into the treasure land.

He looked around and was instantly startled by the sight before him!

There, spread out in front of him, was a small city entirely forged from steel!

The small city’s layout was logical, with a castle-like structure at its very center.

And the entrance to the treasure land was situated right at the edge of the city wall!

Lin Haifeng explained from the side, "This small city already existed within the treasure land. It serves as a form of protection and a gathering point for professionists who enter.

"We in the military call this place the Outpost."

A flash of white light appeared before Wen Yu, and a black-robed man with somewhat strange features materialized in front of him.

The man first performed an odd salute to Lin Haifeng, then turned his entirely black pupils towards Wen Yu.

"Greetings, Sequence Number 2. I am this treasure land’s Treasure Land Protector, identifier number 56. You may call me Kaldo!"

Wen Yu nodded slightly, indicating he understood.

Lin Haifeng, standing beside him, said, "I brought Sequence Number 2 here. I’ll explain the rules and tasks in this treasure land to him, so you needn’t trouble yourself."

Lin Haifeng’s tone was polite.

Hearing this, Kaldo nodded, gave Wen Yu a friendly smile, and then vanished.

Wen Yu stared for a long moment at the spot where Kaldo had just been, then finally spoke.

"What type of Guardian is he?"

Wen Yu had only met two Guardians so far: Alcada and the Fourth Prince.

Alcada had come across as a brat, while the Fourth Prince, by Wen Yu’s estimation, was definitely a despicable man with a twisted mind.

Hearing Wen Yu’s question, Lin Haifeng chuckled. "According to our psychological experts’ assessment, this Kaldo is the friendly type. He’s quite agreeable. He may look a bit strange, but his mind is actually quite immature."

Upon hearing Lin Haifeng’s words, Wen Yu nodded.

"So, this treasure land shouldn’t be that tough, right?"

"No. In fact, this treasure land’s difficulty level is terrifying!"

After saying this, Lin Haifeng said no more and simply led Wen Yu towards the castle-like building in the city center.

As they walked, he explained, "I’ll fill you in on the situation here later. Let’s head to the castle first. That’s where our War Operations Command Center is, along with a branch of the Academy."
