Su Shu put on a coat, gently pushed open the door, and went under the walls in the courtyard, Little Snake King following the darkness of the night, its red body almost invisible.

Ever since she took Little Snake King outside, Su Shu could distinctly feel the red snake pattern on her wrist heating up, a different kind of warmth than the initial heat from the ring on her finger.

It was a clear feeling in her heart that she somehow had a mystical connection with it; hard to explain, but she just knew it hadn’t disappeared and was still right beside her.

Sitting on a small stool, Little Snake King crawled up to the open space in front of her, looked up at the moon in the sky, and couldn’t help but exclaim.

Su Shu heard it and also looked up at the moon, which appeared no different than usual, wondering what Little Snake King was startled by.

Little Snake King then straightened up, gazed for a while, and finally spoke, “Why is the moon red?”

Su Shu looked up at the bright moon, “Are you blind?” That was clearly a moon as bright as a silver plate.

Are we looking at the same starry sky, the same moon?

Little Snake King turned around, giving Su Shu a fright behind him, she pointed at him in shock and exclaimed, “Why are your eyes red?”

Standing up, Su Shu tried to find him in the darkness, “Come out!”
