Chapter 642: Chapter 643: Youâre back?
The system was destroyed, but on the walls of the room, there still remained blood-red patches that made oneâs heart palpitate.
Su Shu stayed in the room for a while, making sure the main control console would no longer receive those red distress messages, and that the walls wouldnât change anymore, before she pushed the door open and left the System Room to exit the space.
Inside the space, within the Apocalyptic Rescue System room.
Apocalypse 1077, a blood-red stained area the size of a fingernail, after being silent for half a day, a thread of blood quietly drilled out, and in no time, it wove a web in the blank area of plane 1077.
The next second, all the walls in the room, whoosh.
They all turned back to snow-white as before, except for the shattered part on the console, the room looked no different from before.
Pain!
A searing pain transmitted from her finger, reflexively making her grip her hand.
The ring was no different, Su Shu blinked her eyes lightly.
Inside the space, the system was like a ticking time bomb, lodged in Su Shuâs heart.
What exactly did that incessant bouncing distress message mean, she didnât know.
Outside, the biting chill cleared her mind a bit.
In her mind, there were still those vast patches of blood red. Ever since the space was upgraded, the Apocalyptic System had always run smoothly, although there would be managers of planes who would activate the forced function to get what they wanted.
But there had never been such a terrifying force.
What troubled her was, why there would be a large-scale infection happening.
Even if an emergency occurred in one plane, it couldnât possibly affect all planes, could it?
It was cold outside, she stood alone in the yard, lost in thought.
The occasional passerby in front of the house, huddling their bodies, gave her a strange glance.
Thinking to themselves, in this freezing weather, instead of staying snug in the house, why stand outside getting cold?
Is there something wrong with her brain?
However, Su Shu, deeply immersed in thought, didnât realize any of this.
She couldnât figure out why the Apocalyptic Planes tainted red could turn gray in an instant.
Gray represents death, destruction.
It signifies that the world had vanished forever.
What exactly was that blood-red substance?
Once tainted by it, they became worlds that were useless within the system.
She was so intensely focused on her thoughts, perhaps the cold air outside cooled her overheated nerves.
So much so, she didnât even notice her body suddenly warming up.
There was a tall figure standing behind her.
A long-missed, familiar voice sounded in her ear.
âItâs so cold, why arenât you inside, standing out here?â
Su Shu was momentarily stunned, the familiar voice at her ear abruptly pulling her back from her deep thoughts.
Su Shu froze.
âWhen did you come back?â
âWhile you were just zoning out.â
Tang Zelin, returning home, wrapped his arms around his wife covered in the military coat and turned around.
âLetâs go inside to talk. Itâs so cold out here, and I donât know what you were thinking outside.â
The familiar nagging, filled with long-missed concern, Su Shu looked up at Tang Zelinâs lean chin, still somewhat dazed.
The person she had been thinking about for many days had suddenly appeared before her.
Su Shu had an almost unreal illusion, fearing it was a hallucination born from thinking about him for too long.
Tang Zelin closed the door behind him, turned around to take off his military cap, set down his briefcase, and saw his wife Su Shu still draped in his military coat, staring blankly at him.
He couldnât help but chuckle, descended the stairs to help her out of the heavy coat, and gently scraped her nose with his curved finger.
