After establishing this fact, they knew which fish to avoid getting close to to avoid being injured and infected with the zombie virus and which to attack randomly.
Since they were afraid of the zombie virus spreading through the water and infecting the good fish through their injuries, their attacks included a strategy to slowly lead away the mutated fish and isolate them from the zombies.
Some people dealt with the zombies, while others fought the mutated ones. With every mutated fish killed, it disappeared into Chu Miaoâs stream in the soul ring.
She put it straight in the stream because that stream had spiritual spring water that could help to purify any zombie virus that might have slipped into the fish by mistake. Also, it could nourish the meat and when given to the team members, it would be more beneficial than before because of absorbing spiritual energy.
The zombies disappeared similarly but they were teleported to a short distance away. Chu Miao didnât want to send them too far away in case she sent it to a residential area and people there, starving, think itâs food and they start eating. That would bring a disaster.
By the time the team had killed all the fish, more than two hours had passed and they were so tired and others injured, they were about to collapse.
Chu Miao was surprised to see that both Chichi and Li Pan had held out until the end. And that was with the two of them overdrawing their superpowers and physical strength.
When they finally managed to climb back into the yacht, they were so tired that they collapsed on the deck and couldnât even master the strength to blink let alone move.
The two girls werenât the only ones who felt that way. The others were the same but they had better restraint and didnât collapse disgracefully on the deck but sat down and leaned on the railings.
Chu Miao could tell that they were extremely tired and wouldnât be able to make it back down to the cabin int their condition. She gave her brother a look who then took out small brown bottles usually used to store medicine.
Their family had collected a lot of them in the hospital the last time they went there to train with Ye Xuanâs team. The bottles were filled with diluted spiritual spring water mixed with a body strengthening herb they had found in the forest in the soul ring during their last exploration.
Chu Miao had prepared the mixture for emergencies and had gotten the idea from the lesson learnt the last time Ye Xuan got hurt while protecting her.
She had been forced to give him a grade one healing pill which was already a miracle in this era. She didnât have to worry about Ye Xuan slipping and mentioning that healing pill by accident, but she couldnât be sure about others.
Therefore, she had been thinking about what to do if her teammates who couldnât be trusted with the secret of the healing pills were seriously injured? Their bodies still couldnât withstand pure spiritual spring water because of the potent spiritual energy.
Last night when she went to sleep, she remembered the herbs she and Chu Hao had collected while exploring the forest that had appeared in the soul ring. Thus, while others slept, she had entered the soul ring and went to the alchemy room to extract the essence from the body strengthening herbs.
These herbs could strengthen the body from the bones, the flesh, the meridians, and every other part. So, taking it was a great tonic, especially for non-cultivators. If it could be made into pills, then that would be even better, but she had no talent in alchemy and apart from knowing some simple herbs and their uses, she didnât know much else.
So, she could only use her spiritual power to extract the essence in the herbs and mix it with the diluted spiritual spring water. The effect of the herbs was reduced this way, but it was the best for people who didnât have spiritual energy in their bodies to help them break down all the compositions of the herbs.
Superpower users might benefit more from it but for Chu Miao, her goal was to simply have something that could recover the strength of her people faster and heal wounds at a faster rate. Anything else didnât really matter to her.
Therefore, once she had mixed enough essence and spiritual spring water to fill a thousand bottles, she had stopped and left the space to go back to her room in the apartment to sleep.
She had given some of those bottles to her brother to have at hand when needed and some to Ye Xuan. Now, it was time to use them and with one look, Chu Hao understood his sisterâs message.
He started distributing the bottles to everyone.
"Get up and take medicine to recover quickly. Donât worry about the dosage, just drink the whole bottle." Chu Hao said as he gave the medicine to the men first before giving Chu Miao two bottles to help the girls who couldnât even hold the to drink.
Chu Miao took the bottles and immediately walked over to where the two girls still lay on the floor without a care for their image. She first lifted Li Pan who seemed to be even more drained than Chichi who had been using both physical and mental attacks.
She held her up with one hand and brought the bottle to her mouth with the other. She had already removed the cap so it wasnât difficult for her. Li Pan didnât care whether what she was given was medicine or poison and just drank it. She was thirsty too.
Just because it was raining and they had been fighting in the water didnât mean that her throat didnât feel dry and her body dehydrated.
She drank the medicine greedily and soon felt her strength returning as if a pump was pumping it back into her body like air into a bicycle tube. She could also feel that her superpower which had been used until it was dry was filing up fast.
