Chapter 1218: Sudden Visit
Atticus appeared in the skies of Eldoralth in a burst of light.
âWell?â
Not even a second passed before Whisker appeared before him, asking with a smile filled with expectation.
âWe would be joining in a monthâs time,â Atticus said, and his next words froze the smile that had been about to form on Whiskerâs face.
ââŠbut we might have a problem.â
Whisker frowned. Somehow, he felt cautious and excited at the same time. Problems always equaled more drama, which equaled more grins for him.
However, if it was a problem too much for them to handle⊠then it could end in their deaths. He didnât want that.
âI donât want to repeat myself again. Iâll tell all of you together.â
As Whisker nodded, Atticus focused, feeling the world. He narrowed in on multiple people, and the air around him distorted.
In the next instant, five figures appeared all around them, each one visibly shocked at the sudden teleportation.
As they turned and saw Atticus, they instantly relaxed. But that relief soon shattered as they saw the frown on his face.
âSon, is everything okay?â Avalon asked, and the others focused their serious gaze on him, waiting for his answer.
Asides Avalon, the others Atticus had brought were Magnus, Oberon, Jenera, and Zenon.
They were all Eldorians now, each one radiating immense energy.
Atticus gazed at his warriors and soon began speaking. He recounted everything he had learned from the Quiet Flame, from the upcoming competition, to the other segment worlds being stronger than them, to the threat of them dying and losing their world.
He didnât mince his words. He didnât hide anything. And as he finished speaking, there was a heavy silence in the skies.
The ones currently gathered were the strongest beings in all of Eldoralth. If any of Eldoralthâs citizens should see the current worried look on their faces, they might as well hunt themselves and commit suicide. Anyone that would make them worry like this was sure to be world ending.
After some moments, a heavy sigh escaped from Oberon. He turned towards Atticus.
âWhatâs the plan, Supreme Ruler?â Atticus almost cringed. That title was what Oberon had chosen to address him as ever since he became a god. He didnât like it.
The others turned towards Atticus too, waiting for his words. They had gotten so far under his command, they wanted to continue.
Atticus glanced at them one by one. Avalon had a confident grin on his face. Magnusâ expression hadnât changed even during the explanation, simply looking at Atticus, unbothered. Oberonâs gaze on him was trusting and somehow, so was Jenera and Zenonâs.
He nodded with a smile. âThe competition is in a monthâs time. I suggest you all prepare well. Itâs not going to be easy.â
They each nodded with serious expressions before vanishing towards different parts of the planet, intending on using this one month well.
âWell, I guess Iâll see you later!â Whisker said with a smile.
âDonât tell me youâre planning on continuing your vacation.â
âAhem.â Whisker cleared his throat, as though he had just been caught doing something he wasnât supposed to be doing.
Atticus shook his head. âYoââ
âCâya later!â Before he could call him back, Whisker vanished from the sky, leaving Atticus with a huge frown on his face.
âI still donât understand how that guy survived for this long!â
Atticus couldnât help but agree with Ozerothâs statement.
Still, he shook his head.
âItâs his choice,â he said, before turning towards the horizon. âWe need to finalize some things before the competition.â
Atticus vanished from the skies and appeared on the peak of the hill.
âKuu!â
He was instantly greeted by a cute, furry ball of white, Noctis. He latched onto Atticusâs face and started licking all over excitedly.
Atticus laughed. âI missed you too, little guy.â He patted Noctisâs head tenderly.
âWelcome back, At.â
Atticus turned his gaze to see Anastasia approaching him with a smile. He had told her about his journey just in case he didnât return in time.
âMom.â
After a brief hug and assuring her that everything was alright, Anastasia soon left with a reluctant Noctis.
âKuu~â
Atticus sent a brief scan around the hill to make sure everything was alright. Aurora, Ember, and the others were busy training in their respective training rooms. Zoey too was doing the same.
Everything was alright.
âI better get to it.â
Atticus was about to sit in his usual spot when he felt two presences approaching his location.
âWhy are they here?â
To Atticus, it was a very odd visit no matter how much he thought.
Still, he didnât think too much of it and waited for them to reach his location. A second later, two figures landed soundlessly in front of him.
âHey.â
Atticus fixed his gaze on Kael with a smile.
âHey,â he responded.
It had been a while since he had seen his first friend. While the others trained with him on the hill, Kael had left to be with his family.
Which brought Atticus to why he was so baffled. He turned to the second figure, Aric Stormrider. The berserk god and paragon of the Stormrider family.
However, now his aura surpassed anything a paragon of old Eldoralth could hope to reach. An Eldorian.
He had been one of the human paragons that Atticus chose to become an Eldorian in the past months.
As Atticusâs eyes settled on him, Aric gave a curt nod.
âHey.â
âWhy am I not surprised?â Atticus couldnât help but inwardly shake his head.
Kael was the exact replica of Aric. Aside from the eight assembled weapons around their waists and the broadswords at their backs, they both had expressionless faces, both calm, both constantly ready for battle.
Atticus returned the nod, and silence fell. Neither of them spoke.
âDo they realize that they came to me?â Atticus couldnât help but wonder.
Both of them stood without saying anything, just silently staring at him.
As the silence kept getting increasingly weird, Atticus decided to speak.
âDo you guys want something?â
âI want to fight you,â came Kael.
âI want to fight,â came Aric.
And as he heard both of them, Atticus couldnât help but stare. What the hell was going on?
