"Even if we donāt find the Spirit Crossing Cat, we can still look for other treasures. Our ghost city has many secret realm rifts, and every time wild spectral-type pets come out, they often bring other things from the secret realm. Last month, someone picked up an A-level Soul-knowing Grass and got rich overnight."
Qiao Sang immediately said sternly:
"I remember Dr. Zhang said the secret realm rift will erupt the day after tomorrow. Since thereās nothing to do today or tomorrow, I think we can really search for it well."
Mikaela, who had been acting as a background, showed a hint of a smile in his eyes.
"Wuwu!"
Treasure Witch had a serious expression and called out, indicating it would definitely help seriously in the search.
Steel Treasure showed an "I knew it" expression.
Qiao Sangās mind flashed with Steel Treasureās thoughts, coughed, glanced around, and changed the topic:
"I see there donāt seem to be many people here, is it usually even fewer people?"
Gao Renhe smiled and said:
"No, most of them are invisible."
Qiao Sang: "???"
Gao Renhe continued:
"In the ghost city, beast tamers basically keep their spectral-type pet beasts close to them to help them go invisible, so they feel a bit safer."
"Why?" Qiao Sang was a bit puzzled.
"Spectral-type pets can distinguish between invisible and visible. Wild spectral-type pets that come out of the secret realm, upon seeing humans cloaked like them, reduce their desire for a preemptive attack." Gao Heren explained.
Qiao Sang pondered:
"Then if everyone is invisible and canāt see each other, isnāt it easy to bump into each other?"
Gao Heren explained:
"In the Zitiya Region, we have a potion called āSpiritual Visibilityā. As long as a beast tamer has contracted a spectral-type pet and experienced at least two feedback sessions, applying this potion can achieve spiritual vision for a certain period."
This is so magical... Qiao Sangās eyes lit up, and suddenly thought of something, asking:
"Doesnāt the Smooth Tiger, running so fast, bump into invisible people?"
Smooth Tiger isnāt a spectral-type pet.
Gao Heren laughed and said:
"Its eyes wear an item called āSpirit Transparencyā. Although it doesnāt see as clearly as spiritual vision, it can see life energy bodies and avoid them."
Indeed, whether you can see spectral-type pets in the Zitiya Region is very important; so many things are related to this... Qiao Sang thought.
While thinking, "Bang", it seemed Smooth Tiger hit something and stopped.
"Shushu!"
A spectral-type pet that looked entirely black and resembled a book appeared a few meters ahead, showing a pained expression while struggling to rise.
"Xun Xun!"
Little Treasure Hunter was startled and teleported next to the spectral-type pet that looked like a book, watching nervously.
In an instant, a bunch of people and spectral-type pets appeared on the street. Some watched the commotion, while others looked at Little Treasure Hunter with a baffled and uncertain expression.
Speaking of which, spectral-type pets usually pass through, how did it bump... Qiao Sang thought something was off but still asked worriedly:
"Lubao."
"Ice Emperor."
Lubao poked its head out from the backpack.
Before it could jump out, Gao Heren said with a laymanās tone:
"No worries, itās just pretending."
He then pulled a bag of pet snacks from his carry-on bag and tossed it over.
The spectral-type pet resembling a book somersaulted upwards, swiftly drifted over, and precisely bit into the snack before disappearing invisibly.
Little Treasure Hunter: "!!!"
Qiao Sang: "..."
Lubao paused, then retreated into the backpack.
"Ya Ya..."
Yaobao was dumbfounded at the scene.
Steel Treasureās mouth twitched slightly.
"Qingqing..."
Qingbao showed an "is that even possible" expression.
Mikaelaās expression remained unchanged, showing the demeanor of an experienced S-rank Beastmaster.
Some people and spectral-type pets felt uninteresting and vanished invisibly, while others continued to eye Little Treasure Hunter uncertainly, and some even started taking pictures with their phones.
After a brief silence, Qiao Sang couldnāt help but ask: "You said it was fake, why did you still give it something?"
Gao Renhe explained helplessly:
"Thatās a ghost secretary, capable of drawing a targetās aura into a book to curse them. Although it didnāt get hit, some of Smooth Tigerās aura might have been drawn in. I was worried this ghost secretary would hold a grudge and curse later."
Qiao Sang: "..."
Itās no wonder spectral-type pets arenāt popular in other regions...
