On the grass.
An ant-like Bug-Type Pet Beast squeezed to the front and called out twice:
"Black black."
"Black black."
"Ting Ting!"
Tingbao listened, veins bulging on its forehead, and roared.
Some Bug-Type Pet Beasts in the distance that dared not come close jumped in fright and scattered.
"What did this Bug-Type Pet Beast say?" Qiao Sang asked in a low voice.
"Ya Ya."
Yaobao called out, helping to translate.
That Earth Dragon isnât willing to fight Tingbao, calling it a defeated subordinate.
Qiao Sang: "..."
No wonder Tingbao is so mad...
If it doesnât want to battle, itâs tricky. You canât force it to compete. According to the rules, if one side clearly refuses to battle, you canât keep harassing with invitations, or if reported, there will be a suspension depending on the severity of the situation.
Qiao Sang pondered for a moment, looked at the speaking ant-like Bug-Type Pet Beast, and asked:
"Can you take us to see the Earth Dragon?"
"Black black."
The ant-like Bug-Type Pet Beast shook its head without thinking.
At this moment, Little Treasure Spirit suddenly floated forward, looked at it, and its eyes flashed blue.
The ant-like Bug-Type Pet Beastâs eyes instantly became vacant.
"Xun Xun~"
Little Treasure Spirit called out.
"Black black."
The ant-like Bug-Type Pet Beast nodded vacantly, then turned around and began to lead the way.
Tingbaoâs originally angry expression turned blank for a moment.
Nicely done... Qiao Sang gave Little Treasure Spirit an appreciative look.
"Ting Ting." Tingbaoâs eyes lit up and it called out.
The boss is awesome.
"Xun Xun~"
Little Treasure Spirit grinned, striking a boss-like pose, and called out, indicating it was a piece of cake.
Seems like Tingbao truly acknowledges Little Treasure Spirit as the boss... Qiao Sang suppressed a smile, leading Yaobao and the others to follow behind the ant-like Pet Beast.
Around them, the Bug-Type Pet Beasts glanced at each other and all followed.
Before long, the ant-like Pet Beast stopped under a tree, pointed to a hole in the ground, and called out:
"Black black."
"The Earth Dragon is down there?" Qiao Sang asked.
"Black black." The ant-like Pet Beast nodded with vacant eyes.
Immediately, its expression suddenly cleared up.
When it saw the surrounding scene, it showed a startled expression and called out:
"Black black?!"
How did it end up here?!
"Jie jie jie~"
Little Treasure Spirit gave it a villainous smile.
Of course, itâs because of me.
"Black black!"
The ant-like Pet Beast showed a terrified expression, burrowed into the ground at its fastest speed, and vanished.
"Ting Ting."
Tingbao impatiently called out, indicating it was going to find that guy now.
After speaking, it started to dive headfirst into the hole.
Qiao Sang twitched his mouth, quickly stopping it, "Donât go in. You canât dig holes."
"Ting Ting?"
Tingbao pulled its head back out and called out, asking how to get that guy out.
Qiao Sang pondered silently.
Forcibly inviting a battle is definitely not an option; the competition rules forbid it. According to the customs of Flame Sky Star, even if not in competition, a Beast Tamer or Pet Beast invited to battle would generally agree. The other side just thinks Tingbao is too weak to bother. In that case, it just needs to realize that Tingbao isnât weak and gain interest in battling it...
As the thought crossed his mind, a black hole appeared out of nowhere in front of Little Treasure Spirit, and it dove in.
Seeing this, Qiao Sang raised an eyebrow but didnât stop it.
Whether the Earth Dragon agrees to the battle or not, having a conversation is necessary.
Three seconds later, Little Treasure Spirit emerged from the black hole, dragging the Earth Dragon with it.
"Tutu!"
The Earth Dragon struggled.
Although its size was clearly much larger than Little Treasure Spirit, it couldnât break free from its grip.
Qiao Sang coughed lightly and said, "Little Treasure Spirit, be gentle."
"Xun Xun~"
Little Treasure Spirit placed the Earth Dragon on the ground.
The Earth Dragon looked warily at the human in front of it, and another Pet Beast that seemed very imposing and magnificent, sneering coldly at Tingbao and calling out:
"Tutu."
Canât beat me, so you brought reinforcements, huh?
Tingbaoâs forehead veins bulged.
Even if I donât understand, I know itâs not something good... Before Tingbao could speak, Qiao Sang said:
"I am its Beast Tamer. Tingbao wants to challenge you again, even if itâs not counted for points. I hope you agree."
Hearing its Beast Tamer speak up, Tingbao suppressed the words it was about to say.
"Tutu."
The Earth Dragon glanced over, showing a look of disdain, and let out a cry.
Iâve already said, I wonât rematch a defeated opponent.
"Ting Ting!"
Tingbao could no longer hold back, yellow electric arcs crackled on its body as it glared angrily at the Earth Dragon.
"Tutu."
The Earth Dragon again showed a look of disdain, then lifted its claw, revealing the Points Recording Device on it, about to press the red button.
"Wait!" Qiao Sang, seeing the red button, her eyelid twitched, and she quickly stopped him.
To ensure fair competition, if a contestant violates competition rules, they can be reported. The red button on the Points Recording Device is the report button.
Once pressed, the current process will be recorded in real-time, then uploaded. Once the violation is confirmed backstage, a series of penalties like suspension will be applied.
The Earth Dragon looked over, wearing an expression of "Letâs see what you have to say."
"If you donât want a match, we certainly wonât force you." Qiao Sang said, "But is it that you donât want to face Tingbao because youâre afraid it will beat you this time?"
"Tutu?"
The Earth Dragon sneered.
Are you using taunts?
"Xun Xun~"
Little Treasure Spirit helped translate.
Such a smart Pet Beast, knowing how to use taunts... Qiao Sang felt a bit amazed inside, then asked:
"What would it take for you to agree to a rematch?"
If possible, sheâd really like Little Treasure Spirit to use Taunt, but once a Pet Beast is taunted, it will lose its calm in battle and not use its head much, especially given the large level gap between Little Treasure Spirit and the Earth Dragon, the effect of Taunt would influence the whole battle. Such a match isnât what Tingbao wants, nor what she wants.
"Tutu."
The Earth Dragon glanced at Tingbao.
Unless itâs stronger than me.
"Xun Xun~" Little Treasure Spirit helped translate.
Qiao Sang patiently said, "If you donât face it, how do you know it hasnât surpassed you?"
"Tutu."
The Earth Dragon let out a confident cry.
I donât need to face it to know itâs weaker than me, a defeated opponent from three days ago.
"Xun Xun~"
Little Treasure Spirit helped translate.
"Ting Ting!"
Tingbao showed an angry expression, yellow electric arcs flashing, just about to charge at the Earth Dragon.
"Ya Ya."
At this moment, Yaobao let out a call.
Its Beast Tamer said, this little guy has the Lightning Rod trait, using Electric-type Skills against it is useless.
"Ting Ting..."
Tingbaoâs angry expression faltered, and the electric arcs disappeared.
Immediately it thought of something, once again showing an angry expression, lifting its paw, a silver-white light emanating, roaring:
"Ting Ting!"
Qiao Sang sighed helplessly, calling out: "Tingbao."
"Ting Ting..."
Tingbaoâs angry expression turned to grievance, lowering its paw.
"Tutu."
The Earth Dragon looked at Tingbao, sneered, then flashed the Points Recording Device on its claw, issuing a cry that if you bother me again for a match, I will report you.
With that, it plunged its head into the ground, disappearing from sight.
Qiao Sang watched the Earth Dragonâs actions, not stopping it.
Judging by the Earth Dragonâs attitude just now, no matter what she said, the other party wouldnât accept a match calmly.
"Ting Ting."
Tingbaoâs face darkened, yellow electric arcs appearing on its body involuntarily.
It was unhappy, very unhappy.
"Ting Ting?"
Tingbao turned with a face full of displeasure to its Beast Tamer, barking, indicating they just let it leave like that?
"No choice, the other party doesnât want to compete with you now." Qiao Sang said.
Tingbaoâs expression darkened a bit more.
"But no big deal, there are ways to make it compete against you." Qiao Sang continued.
"Ting Ting?"
Tingbao was stunned, its electric arcs disappearing, it eagerly barked.
What way?
Recalling the Earth Dragonâs interview, Qiao Sang calmly said: "The Earth Dragon doesnât want to compete since it thinks you are too weak, but what if you become the one with the most points?"
