Chapter 65: Breeder Association, Start the Class! (Four more)

"Wow, this is just too big!" Su Ping couldn’t help but exclaim.

It was one thing to look from the outside. Upon entering, the first thing that greeted him was this vast breeding hall. It featured numerous windows, various functions, and even some battle arenas within.

Its sheer size truly lived up to its reputation as one of Jianghai Province’s landmarks.

Though the crowd was dense, it was not cramped. Some even released their Pet Beasts to walk alongside them. The only common factor was that everyone here was in a hurry, evidently with clear objectives in mind.

Su Ping glanced around casually. Vice President Liu’s class started at nine-thirty, and its location was on the second floor. With less than an hour to go, he was in no rush to head up yet.

Su Ping wandered for a bit, then turned his gaze to the vast training and combat area. This place, besides the various service windows, had the most spectators. Clearly, wherever one was, Pet Beast battles were always a top draw.

Su Ping walked over, and the first battle arena that came into view made him stop in his tracks. The Beast Tamer on the platform above was handling a Forest Wolf as his Pet Beast. What’s more, its Level wasn’t high; it was also at the Ordinary Level.

It wasn’t surprising that there would be a high number of Forest Wolves in Linzhou, one of their places of origin.

Su Ping found a spot and watched the competition above, nodding occasionally.

That buzz-cut youth actually had some skill,

he noted. Under the youth’s augmentation and command, his Pet Beast quickly dispatched its opponent.

The battle ended, and both competitors left the arena. The buzz-cut youth glanced around and then sat down next to Su Ping, rubbing the Forest Wolf that had just performed valiantly. Then, he noticed his Forest Wolf continuously staring at a young Beast Tamer of similar age sitting nearby.

The buzz-cut youth, being an outgoing and cheerful type, saw that his Pet Beast seemed interested in the person next to him and smiled at Su Ping, saying, "Brother, you were watching so intently just now. Are you a Forest Wolf Beast Tamer too?"

Su Ping nodded and smiled, reaching out to stroke the Forest Wolf’s mane.

The buzz-cut youth was taken aback.

Doesn’t he know his own Pet Beast’s personality? Wolf Pets are pack-oriented yet proud, generally not taking kindly to Beast Tamers other than their owner. But why is it so docile with this guy? Not only allowing its mane to be stroked but also squinting its eyes in comfort?

The buzz-cut youth became more interested and asked, "What brings you to the Breeder Association, buddy? I’m Zheng Yong. If you need anything done, just say the word. I’m quite familiar with this place."

Su Ping smiled and replied, "I’m here for a class; there’s one today..."

Before he could finish, the young man’s eyes widened. "Forest Wolf, a class? What a coincidence! No wonder my Ba Tian likes you so much. Turns out you’re no ordinary person either, brother!"

"Huh?" Now it was genuinely Su Ping’s turn to be surprised. He looked at Zheng Yong with astonishment, asking, "Could it be, Brother Zheng, that you’re also...?"

Zheng Yong laughed heartily. "Is it President Liu Fuhai’s class?"

Only when Zheng Yong mentioned Vice President Liu’s name was Su Ping certain. He looked at the other young man in surprise and nodded. Zheng Yong didn’t seem much older than him, perhaps by only a year or two.

His Level as a Beast Tamer is one thing, but to think he’s already a Breeder? To become a Breeder at this age is quite impressive! Otherwise, why would Jin Cheng be so arrogant? That’s the basis for his pride! After all, my own Intermediate Beast Tamer certificate and assessment were obtained through a cheat. I truly admire and respect those who genuinely possess breeding Talent at such a young age.

Zheng Yong seemed quite pleased with this serendipitous meeting. His laughter drew glances from people nearby, as if he were deliberately showing off. "Hahaha, no wonder! Being able to attend President Liu’s class is indeed a rare honor."

Su Ping nodded as well.

My luck is indeed quite good. Meeting Qin Xiaoxue, and through her, getting to know Vice President Liu, has certainly saved me a lot of trouble and hassle. And Vice President Liu’s abilities are undeniable. A High-Level Beastmaster specializing in Wolf Pets—he’s the only one in Jianghai Province. Even across the entire Dragon Nation, he’s a renowned figure. Being able to attend his public lecture is truly a rare opportunity.

"It is rare indeed," Su Ping said. "Although I haven’t personally experienced Old Liu’s breeding expertise, I’ve long heard of it. I hope I can learn a few things from him this time."

Zheng Yong, however, waved his hand. "It’s too hard to learn anything directly from Old Liu. After all, he’s lecturing those Breeders. Right now, I’m just hoping that when those Breeders in class get hands-on with our Pet Beasts, they can give us some pointers. If they can help us find suitable training methods, we can avoid many detours! I really hope to break through to the Elite Level soon. Once I reach the Elite Level and get a second Pet Beast, I’ll have some confidence in passing next year’s Beast Tamer assessment. Otherwise, I’ll have to wait for the next round, but by then, I’ll be twenty-two, which is a bit too late."

At this point, Zheng Yong’s eyes lit up with anticipation and joy.

However, Su Ping was momentarily taken aback, then slightly furrowed his brows.

Have I misunderstood something? What Zheng Yong and I are talking about... they don’t seem to be the same thing, do they?

He was a bit uncertain.

However, upon hearing Zheng Yong’s words, he quickly shook his head. "Better not. Class is about to start soon. It wouldn’t be good if Vice President Liu caught us being late."

Hearing this, Zheng Yong nodded. "That’s true. Ba Tian, go get some rest. I’ll call you out again in a bit!"

With that said, Zheng Yong recalled the Forest Wolf named Ba Tian into his Beast Taming Space. Then he looked towards Su Ping and asked, "By the way, brother, what’s your name?"

"Su Ping."

"Eh? Your name sounds familiar, like I’ve heard it somewhere before?" Zheng Yong scratched his head.

"Is that so? It might be a common name," Su Ping replied, giving him a speechless sidelong glance.

Zheng Yong didn’t dwell on it. After chatting for a while longer, he glanced at his watch and hurriedly said, "It’s 9:20 already! Class starts in ten minutes. Let’s head up to the second floor."
