With that thought, Lin Yi spoke up. “You say that a kid at the orphanage got an infection? I’ll go check it out for you and treat her.”

Xiake paused- Lin Yi was a doctor? She didn’t know that. “You’re… A Doctor?”

“Didn’t I heal your injuries back then?” Lin Yi smiled.

“Didn’t you… use qi for that?” Xiaoke blinked. “Isn’t that different?”

“I’m also a doctor.” Lin Yi smiled.

Lin Yi could simply give Xiaoke some money and let her bring Xiao Yan to the hospital herself since it wasn’t a big deal. But he wanted to confirm if Xiaoke was lying or not.

He did lean towards believing her, but she was a thief, after all, and he didn’t know her that well. There was no guarantee that she was telling the truth all the time. Doing this would help verify what she said to Goudan, too.

Lin Yi nodded. It was natural. They were probably horrified of what happened.
