Lin Yi took a look- everything Old Hei took was material stuff. It was good for collecting, but they werenât practical at all. He wasnât someone who practiced medicine, after all.
âIâm done- what about you guys? You guys donât want anything?â Old Hei turned his head around to Lin Yi and Lingshan.
Elder Yu had looked through all the stuff already- there wasnât anything that interested him. Plus, whether or not the items had monetary value didnât matter to him.
Lin Yi actually had his eyes on one specific set of silver needles from the time he walked in.
He had put on a calm face, but his heart was actually pumped with shock! If he was right, that set of sivler needles was the long lost Nine Fuxi Needles!
The Nine Fuxi Needles was something he saw by chance in one of the medical books- they were miraculous items that were said to be able to bring people back from death! The acupuncture needles used nowadays were all made based on the Nine Fuxi Needles!
Whether or not these needles really were that powerful, Lin Yi didnât know- but it was true that they had been lost for a long time!
Acupuncture was something invented back in ancient times when one of the three emperors, Fu Xi, created it. Whether or not these Nine Fu Xi needles were the needles that Fu Xi had used was a mystery, but these god defying tools were mentioned many times in writings and texts!
Lin Yi had seen pictures of these needles, which was why he could recognize them- he didnât know just yet if they were the actual real thing, and he could only ask Old Lin for confirmation.
Because Lingshan was here, he didnât want to put her in a difficult spot- taking it in the open like that would result in her asking him to take it out later, judging by her personality. So, Lin Yi kept silent, and crouched down to whisper to General Weiwu before standing up and leaving the treasure room.
âLetâs go, if thereâs nothing here, we should move on to the next treasure room,â Lin Yi walked out first.
Lingshan and Yutian followed after as well, along with Elder Yu, Old Hei, and You Xiaoke. Weiwu was always walking at the back, so nobody noticed him taking anything when they leftâŠ
The second treasure room was evidently a storage for medicines and medicinal ingredients. The moment they went in, they were greeted with neat rows of medicine cabinets, with each of its drawers marked and labelled with the medicine names and uses, evidently something the old master of the tomb used frequently.
While they entered, Lin Yi took the nine Fu Xi needles from Weiwu with a smooth movemeent.
Weiwu did understand him after all.
After entering, Elder Yu started to frantically look for the qi gathering elixirs he was looking for, sweeping across the cabinets.
Lin Yi wasnât worried about the qi gathering elixrs, but he did look at a couple of medicine drawers- to his disappointment, there was no medicine inside!
The master of the tomb probably realized that the medicine would expire eventually, and so he didnât put it there at all- the only reason why the drawers were here was because they were things he used to use when he was alive- he had an attachment to them.
The treasure room had been evidently much more filled compared to the one before them, with the walls all covered with cabinets and going as high as the ceiling. It was a lot for the eyes.
Lin Yi pretty much confirmed that most of the drawers were empty before he stopped. He had been thinking that maybe the Fire Spiritâs fruit might have been in here, but it seemed that it wasnât likely anymore.
Just as Elder Yu looked for his qi gathering pills, Lin Yi looked for the fruit- it was just that he was practiced in medicine, his eyes were better than Elder Yuâs. Elder Yu was still halfway through the first cabinet when Lin Yi had already finished with a couple of them.
Old Hei and Xiaoke evidently werenât too interested in the stuff in front of them, and Lingshan and Yutian, on the other hand, helped Lin Yi look for the fruit.
âItâs here!â Lingshan yelled as she pointed at the drawer.
âWhere?!â Elder Yu subconsciously leapt in front of Lingshan, scaring her, âWhere is the qi gathering elixir?â
âWhat is wrong with you? What elixir? Iâm talking about a medicinal herb!â Lingshan wasnât pleased with Elder Yuâs sudden appearance.
Elder Yu looked at the drawers- there really wasnât any qi gathering pills. Disappointed, he scoffed and went to a corner, although, with his suspicious mindset, there was no way heâd leave isntantly. He wanted to see just what Lingshan found.
Fire Spiritâs Fruit! Lin Yiâs breathing became more rapid when he saw the label on the drawer.
It actually existed? And it seemed that it was right here?
Lin Yi walked over quickly and opened the drawer- what disappointed him, however, was that the drawer was empty, just like the other herbs.
âFuuâŠâ Lin Yi sighed, âI guess not.â
Elder Yu didnât know what Lin Yi wanted that fruit for, but seeing that the drawer was empty, he lost interest and left for his pills.
Lin Yi shut the drawer, disappointed. It was within expectations, though, so after stabilizing himself he went and looked for the qi gathering pill Elder Yu was talking about.
His eyes quickly stopped on a drawer with the label âQi Gathering Pillsâ written on it, but Elder Yu hadnât noticed yet.
âThe stuff youâre looking for is here,â Lin Yi walked over and opened it instantly. He knew that his movements were all monitored by Elder Yu, and there was no way he could sneak anything away from him underneath his eyes. Even if he didnât tell him, heâd come here and ask him about it anyway- so he might as well get that over with.
There was no reason to get into a fight with Elder Yu for hiding something like this- he needed to keep his attention on looking for the medical notes.
This time, the drawer was actually filled! There were two small medicine bottles, both of them, crystal, with a label on it- âQi Gathering Pillâ.
Elder Yu had come over as well, looking at the two bottles inside the drawer, a greedy look in his eyes. What was he thinking?
âThe pills are here, I checked- thereâs two bottles, with one pill each. With the agreement we had, itâs one pill per person- so Iâm taking one of the bottles!â With that, Lin Yi reached for the other bottle.
âStop!â Elder Yu stopped him.
