Chapter 1403 – Appear

“Then?” Lin Yi asked.

“Oh… then try to move that…” You Xiaoke pointed at the puzzle beside.

“This?” Lin Yi stretched his hand towards the piece Xiaoke was mentioning. When he was about to move it, the jade sent off danger signal- telling him that this piece of the puzzle was dangerous, and he shouldn’t move it! Lin Yi shook his head. “I can’t. It’s dangerous.”

“Ah?” You Xiaoke was taken aback. She couldn’t believe Lin Yi was able to tell without physically touching the puzzle. “This?” Lin Yi tested, no danger, and quickly shifted it. “Okay, no problem!”

“This was okay?” You Xiaoke startled- she didn’t know how Lin Yi differentiated them, how he achieves this feat!

“He—” Lin Yi smiled as he moved the puzzle. “This piece is probably safe too. What should we move next?”

“So strong!” You Xiaoke complimented. This male thief was really something. He could differentiate which piece was safe to move, which was not. If she was by herself, she’d have killed herself moving them! You Xiaoke looked at the puzzles on the ground and said. “This piece, is it moveable?”

“Yes.” Lin Yi moved the puzzle Xiaoke was pointing at.

“How about this?” Xiaoke asked.

“Nope.” Lin Yi shook his head.

“This?” Xiaoke asked again.

“This is fine.” Lin Yi nodded.

After ten hours, Lin Yi finally put the last puzzle at the right place. He jumped away from the door and let out a long breath. “We’ve finally completed the puzzle!”

Although Lin Yi had a golden finger assisting him, he couldn’t casually move the puzzle. Every move had to be tested. That was why it took him so long to complete the whole puzzle. With both of them working together, they spent more than ten hours to complete it!

The time taken to complete the death door puzzle was double the time they used to unlock the life door!

“Kata.” a sound came from within the door. It was the similar sound when they unlocked the life door. A buzzing sound came after that, and the door was opened.

“It’s opened!” You Xiaoke relaxed. “However, there might be tons of traps waiting for us ahead; we have to be careful and be prepared at all times!”

“Stick close to my side later; don’t move on your own. I can detect when danger approaches; we are going to be fine.” Lin Yi reassured her. Without Elder Yu around, he became more casual and easier to approach.

“En.” You Xiaoke nodded, she didn’t know why she trusted this male thief so much- she felt that when Lin Yi was around, there wouldn’t be any danger at all.

Lin Yi, Xiaoke, and General Weiwu were the only ones left in the tomb, so he didn’t have to hesitate anymore as he pushed and opened the death doors directly! If Lin Yi wasn’t doing it, it had to be You Xiaoke, so Lin Yi felt that he should be the one doing it instead.

It was totally different from the life gate. What lay behind the death gate was the same as the chambers- it was neat and tidy, but the construction here was much fancier than the tomb! The path of the two gates were opposite of each other; the path was smooth and clean. Mural paintings could also be seen on the walls.

Lin Yi walked very cautiously to take in any approaching dangers, but the jade wasn’t sending him any signals at all- this surprised Lin Yi greatly!

They had walked for more than a kilometer, but everything was peaceful and nice; the jade wasn’t sending off any signals, either. Nothing happened!

“Why is this place so quiet? There were no signs of traps or danger at all?” You Xiaoke felt weird as she asked.

“How do I know?” Lin Yi smiled bitterly. “Right, I’ve something to ask you, are you sure there are some advanced traps inside the death door?”

“This… I can’t tell.” You Xiaoke pondered and replied. “Normally, there would be a lot her,e but sometimes, things may be different too- there’s a possibility no traps were located here because all of the traps were set in the death door!”

Lin Yi nodded and continue walking forwards. Even after listening to Xiaoke’s explanation, he never put his guard down.

Suddenly, General Weiwu, who was in front of Lin Yi, stopped moving and stood straight in the middle of the road.

“What’s wrong?” Lin Yi startled- he couldn’t understand General Weiwu’s action- could it be dangerous? At least, the jade on his chest wasn’t sending him any signals.

“Woof Woof.” General Weiwu barked at the dark spot ahead of him.

Lin Yi and Xiaoke were both confused; they had no idea what General Weiwu was doing.

There was no movement from the dark.

When Lin Yi was still puzzled, General Weiwu barked again, but this time the tone of its barking was different; there was some rage in it!

“Woof Woof.” General Weiwu increased his volume!

Finally, there was some movement from the dark spot no far from the group.”Ji ji” A weak squeak could be heard then a tiny shadow appeared from the dark walking towards General Weiwu. It seemed to be afraid of General Weiwu with its frightened face!

“What is that creature?” You Xiaoke looked at the creature and asked curiously.

And while Lin Yi had the same question as well, but his heart was filled with excitement. Could it be… this was the real thing?

Lin Yi’s gaze froze upon the creature when it walked towards them! His guess was right; this creature did look like the little fellow he was looking for!

This thing looked like a pig with a round body, but it was definitely different. It was standing up straight vertically with both of its rear legs. Its paws were like hands by the side of its body as it walked. Swinging left and right as it walked- it did look like the cute version of Pigsy.

This little fellow was reluctant to come. It seemed like General Weiwu forcefully woke him up from his sweet dream. Although the little fellow wanted to resist, he didn’t dare to do so.

However, what surprised Lin Yi the most was that this little fellow was actually mid-phase of the golden class! He couldn’t believe when he was adopted by Zhang Liju, it didn’t even have the strength of a golden class, but now it was actually at mid-phase already! It was impossible for Zhang Liju to have a super golden finger-like Lin Yi sending pure qi into the spirit’s body. The only way to level up was consuming rare resources. It was certainly not easy to reach this level just by eating rare herbs purely!
