"Senior Brother, did you two finish talking?" In no time at all, Chen Changāan and his companion walked out of the narrow alley, piquing the curiosity of Mao Ruxue who eagerly asked them.
"Yes, we discussed everything that needed to be discussed," confirmed Chen Changāan, who then turned his attention to Li Lingāer:
"Miss Lingāer, we have matters to attend to in the coming time, so Uncle Yun will need to stay with you a while longer, hope thatās not too much trouble."
Li Lingāer shook her head: "I see, itās no trouble at all. I should be the one thanking Uncle Yun for his care and companionship during this journey."
"In that case, Ling Er, we will take our leave now."
"Please be careful on your journey, Li Bai."
In the end, Chen Changāan bid his farewell and left the Liang Mansion with Mao Ruxue on the Flying Boat.
"Ling Er, I have a question to ask you. The book in your hands, did Mr. Chen give it to you?"
After Chen Changāan and his companion departed, Liang Renxing turned his gaze onto Li Lingāer.
Li Lingāer nodded: "Yes, master. Li Bai stayed with me for a short while some time ago. He gave me this book before he left. I never realized it had such unique qualities."
Suddenly, as if a realization dawned upon her, Li Lingāer turned to Liang Renxing with shock:
"Wait a minute, Master! What did you call Li Bai just now?"
"Mr. Chen? Which Mr. Chen??"
"Mr. Chen Changāan from Tianshui City," said Liang Renxing, a bit startled. He initially thought Li Lingāer knew of Chen Changāanās true identity, but it seemed now that she didnāt!
"My heavens, it couldnāt be him, could it?!"
Li Lingāer was instantly shocked by Liang Renxingās words.
"Girl, you really didnāt know?" Liang Renxing confirmed that Li Lingāer truly hadnāt known of Chen Changāanās identity, even just moments ago!
Li Lingāer nodded: "Master, I really didnāt know because Li Bai always interacted with me using only that name."
"I naturally assumed his name was Li Bai and didnāt overthink it."
"As for who he may actually be, that never even crossed my mind."
Additionally, Li Lingāerās current journey around the world had another goal: to find Chen Changāan.
She had found Chen Changāan now, but the outcome was rather unexpected.
She had imagined countless possibilities, but Li Lingāer had never once thought that Li Bai would be the legendary Chen Changāan.
Who was Chen Changāan? The Great Scholar from Tianshui City, Supreme Saint, the Immortal Master Chen Changāan. More importantly, it was recently revealed that he had ascended to immortality ā even the Immortal Monarchs of the heavens bowed to him!
How could such a person be Li Bai?
"What will you do now, child?" Liang Renxing had comprehended everything by this point, further affirming his initial belief that he was unqualified to be Li Lingāerās master.
"Master, nothing has changed in my original intention. I still want to travel around the world."
"However, I may need to modify my route a bit."
Li Lingāer, with gratitude in her eyes, looked in the direction of Chen Changāan and Mao Ruxue. Her original plan had been to proceed to the area of Tianshui after strolling around in the Daqian Imperial Dynasty because Tianshui was the current holy ground for all Confucian scholars worldwide. While there, she would acquire a lot of useful knowledge which would greatly assist her studies of the medical manual.
But now, Li Lingāer had changed her mind.
She intended to make Tianshui the final stop on her journey. She would finish her travels around the world first, and then proceed to see the place where Chen Changāan and the others lived.
Of course, the main reason for this decision was that upon knowing that Chen Changāan was Li Bai, Li Lingāer wanted to make some progress before heading directly to Tianshui.
Chen Changāan didnāt know it, but it was through this encounter, and the one from two years prior, that the Daoist foundation for a future Medicine Saint was laid.
Of course, by the time Li Lingāer achieves greatness and begins to reign on Daoist Mountain, Chen Changāan would no longer be in this realm!
"Senior Brother, who was that woman? She seemed pretty familiar to you."
On their journey, Mao Ruxue, curious about Li Lingāerās identity, couldnāt help but ask Chen Changāan.
"Junior Sister, thatās Li Lingāer, the niece of our master," replied Chen Changāan straightforwardly. He told Mao Ruxue all about the cause and effect of it all, including their master, Yang Hanās, change of surname.
"Senior Brother, sheās part of the Daoist foundation lineage from our mountain??" Mao Ruxue was shocked. Up until this point, this was the first time she had heard of their master having descendants.
"Yes," nodded Chen Changāan.
"I was also quite surprised when I found out, but I investigated and everything checked out."
"Then, Senior Brother, does our master have any other survivors?"
"Yes, thereās a family of four," acknowledged Chen Changāan.
"I had them settled in Tianshui City."
.....
Though the Flying Boat was not slow, it still took Chen Changāan and Mao Ruxue two full days to reach Wanyu Heaven.
Chen Changāan could have directly arrived there via his Night God ring, which would have allowed him to cross through the void, yet he chose the most time-consuming method instead.
Without more ado, because there was no rush.
"Greetings, Saint Chen."
As Chen Changāan and Mao Ruxue arrived at Wanyu Heaven, there were already some people waiting for them, led by the Taiyi Sectās Daoist Master of Azure Flame and Daoist Master of Jiemie.
Both of them were, by this point, quite familiar with Chen Changāan, though, of course, they had only met a few times before.
