Seeing Baron Lofik approach, Xu Yi had a ghost of a smile.

Actually Magician Bucares was right, this Baron Lofik had indeed tried to make it hard for the Frestech Chamber of Commerce to invest in the past half a year. He had even openly demanded a bribe from the Frestech Chamber of Commerce’s representative, which had left a very bad impression on Xu Yi.

But this fellow had an advantage. As long as his greed was satisfied, he would support the Frestech Chamber of Commerce in whatever they wanted to do.

He had some merit in the Frestech Chamber of Commerce being able to complete their project in half a year in this small town. If a new mayor came, both sides had to form relationships again and they might not be as easy to use as this Baron Lofik.

Not to mention that although he demanded bribes frequently, his appetite was rather small.

Compared to his position of a mayor that controlled this important thing, this was considered rather cheap.

“Baron Lofik, I’m very happy to see you again. He said that he was very assured in cooperating with you.” Xu Yi said with a faint smile.

How could Baron Lofik not understand what Xu Yi mean? He quickly revealed a wide smile and shook Xu Yi’s hand as he said in a warm manner, “I thank manager Phil for his trust in my work. Your Frestech Chamber of Commerce investing in our Ampriston Town is our honour. As the mayor, I’m very happy with the changes you’ve brought to our town, so of course I’ll properly help you work.”

Xu Yi laughed, “The goal of our company in investing is to bring riches to the people. I have already discussed this with his excellency Bucares and I have personally made this promise to Duke Mirando. But based on the current situation, we’re far from reaching that goal.”

“How so, how so, our town has already greatly changed. Magician Bucares was just praising you on this.” Baron Lofik turned his head to Magician Bucares with a look of hope in his eyes.

Magician Bucares narrowed his eyes to look at Baron Lofik. He gave a soft snort before turning to Xu Yi and revealing a smile as he gave a nod, “Yes, chairman Xu, it’s already been two months since I last came here, but in this short period of time, Ampriston Town has already greatly changed. I can’t help feeling shocked by the ability of your company.”

Xu Yi revealed a faint smile, “This isn’t anything. I’ve said it, this is just the beginning. Your excellency Bucares, you’ve been to Banta City before and you should know what Banta City has become. My goal is to turn Ampriston Town into another Banta City.”

Magician Bucares immediately shook his head, “How could it compare to Banta City? From what I can see, the prosperity of Banta City could already compare to the biggest cities in the Candra and Marlow Empires. As for the novel things Banta City has, there isn’t another place on the entire continent that has the same. Ampriston Town is only a normal town in our Mirando Duchy, how could it compare?”

Baron Lofik on the side also said in an emotional voice, “That’s right, when I went to Banta City before, it really shocked me. The current Banta City, I think that it has already surpassed all the other cities on the continent when it comes to the era.”

Xu Yi looked at Baron Lofik in surprise. He was a fellow that Phil called “doesn’t understand anything other than making money”, but he could tell that Banta City already surpassed every other city when it came to the era, it seemed like he really wasn’t empty.

Hearing Magician Bucares’ impolite evaluation, Xu Yi smiled. He shook his head and said, “That is their decision, I have no comment. Alright, your excellency Bucares, let’s not discuss these unpleasant things, let’s talk about business.”

Magician Bucares nodded and looked at Baron Lofik.

Baron Lofik immediately understood and said to the two of them with a smile, “I’ll go take a look at the road, you can take your time.”

When Baron Lofik walked out and closed the door, Magician Bucares took out a piece of paper for Xu Yi.

“Chairman Xu, this is the results of the study that me and our duchy’s High Grade Magicians have done during this time. Please take a look and give us your opinion.”

Xu Yi wasn’t polite as he looked it over. He found that it was a blueprint and there was a complicated Magic Array on it. There were also explanations and details to the Magic Array on the side.

After Xu Yi finished looking it over, he fell into thought. Magician Bucares asked in a hopeful voice, “How is it? Chairman Xu, how is this liftoff boost Wind Magic Array of the Magic Airship?”

“Un.....there shouldn’t be a general problem and there’s no problem with the Magic Array, but......”

“But?” Magician Bucares immediately became nervous.

“But you’ve ignored a problem. You’ve only considered generating force with this Magic Array on takeoff, but you’ve ignored the mechanical issue. Although this idea is correct, with the Magic Airship being able to take off more smoothly with more force behind it, you have to consider the problem of the machine itself being able to take this stress. “Is that so?” Magician Bucares took back the blueprint to look it over and after lowering his head to think, he suddenly felt a bit embarrassed, “This.....chairman Xu, to be honest, we don’t know that much about the machine itself, so I don’t really understand the situation you’re describing. But chairman Xu is a specialist, so it should be as you said. It seems like we neglected this in our design.”

Seeing the ashamed look on Bucares’ face, Xu Yi said with a faint smile, “This isn’t anything, no one knows everything from the moment they were born. If you learn a bit more magic mechanical engineering knowledge in the future, you’ll naturally be able to consider everything. Moreover, I’ll bring this blueprint back, there are several good parts here. If I give it to Evita, it should help with her research.”

“Un, I’ll have to ask chief Evita for her help.” Magician Bucares gave the blueprint back to Xu Yi. After pausing, he hesitantly said, “This....Chairman Xu, if we don’t grasp this magic mechanical engineering knowledge, is it impossible to invest in a factory together?”

“Then aren’t we unqualified to touch this technology?” Magician Bucares asked with a frown.

Xu Yi gave a sigh in his heart.

The Mirando Duchy was a small duchy. For the same request, those fellows of the Lampuri Kingdom just directly requested the technology from the Frestech Chamber of Commerce.

Magician Bucares was one of the top magicians in the Mirando Duchy, so he was this careful when he discussed this with Xu Yi.

But this suited Xu Yi’s will. If the Mirando Duchy had a strong appearance like the Lampuri Kingdom, he wouldn’t have considered a deeper cooperation.

“Relax, our company has enough experience with transferring some of the household magic machine technology. If nothing unexpected happens, it will only take a year and you should be able to learn the technology. When the time comes, you will be ready to produce these household magic machines yourself and won’t need to cooperate with our company.” Xu Yi patiently explained.

Magician Bucares nodded, but then he was a bit confused.

“Chairman Xu, I don’t understand. Considering this from the view of your Frestech Chamber of Commerce, it’s more favourable for you to keep the technology and cooperate with us. If you really give the entire technology to us, we don’t need to cooperate with you anymore. Wouldn’t this be bad for you?”

Xu Yi shook his head with a faint smile, “If you understood the things our company has done since we were established, you wouldn’t be asking this. It’s hard for me to explain the specifics to you, so just treat it as me being willful.”

Magician Bucares looked at Xu Yi with a frown, clearly not understanding.

But Xu Yi didn’t plan on explaining to him, so he didn’t keep asking. He flipped through the bag he brought before giving Xu Yi another document.

“Chairman Xu, this is the transfer contract that the duke has signed for the Magic Crystal and rare earth resources mines that you wanted, please take a look.”
