Hearing Starkâs probe, Qin Lun immediately stated he had no problem. One reason was he currently had no way out; to avoid Chaos Teamâs control later, he had to wear Sky Floatâs disguise.
Another point? Fortress Teamâs troubles were none of his business!
Sky Float should already know Fortressâs current difficulties. Given this missionâs difficulty, Qin Lun believed safely surviving this Quest World and finishing the Main Plotline would earn Sky Floatâs approval. No need to follow Stark doing other Side Plots. He wasnât Fortress, didnât care about keeping the Silver Team title.
Knowing the situation, Qin Lun glanced through Fortressâs Team Warehouse. Recovery items and magic tools piled high inside. Though lacking top quality ones, together they summed up tons of Shattered Crystal.
âThis⊠Leader Stark, should I hand over recovery items or a deposit?â Qin Lun wisely asked.
âNo need. Sky Float already paid your fees. If you survive the next Quest World, theyâll even give Fortress Team a reward!â Stark waved it off casually.
âSky Float Team paid for me?â Qin Lun froze slightly.
âMn. All potentials joining Sky Floatâs outer teams get training funds.â Stark smiled. âOf course, outer teams must take responsibility. Any big teamâs outer group handles this.â
âQuite thoughtful.â A light smile touched Qin Lunâs face. Though likely routine recruitment money for an untrusted rookie, it still brought some warmth.
Big teams stayed big not just through strength. Those leaders who built foundations were their real success reason.
A thought struck Qin Lun: even if Serial Killers like them reached Apostile pyramidâs peak, they could never create such big teams. Serial Killers never have the hearts to unite others.
âAlright, everyoneâs here. We leave!â At Starkâs call, Fortress Team members rose from chairs, heading toward the inner transfer hall. Whatever internal conflicts existed, with Qin Lun present, they showed the acting Leader obedience.
The inner hall lacked the outerâs salon or luxuries. Just an empty room. Entering secretly, Qin Lun activated Randâs Synchronous Teleporter.
The Synchronous Teleporterâs main purpose lets Apostles enter the same Quest World despite differing breaks.
Normally, joining a team evens their breaks to near the same time. No device adjustment needed.
But situations like this were special. Most Fortress members reached breakâs end while Qin Lun just returned from another world.
Normally, Qin Lun joining would delay othersâ breaks by days. But Qin Lun faced huge danger now, couldnât wait, plus avoiding Sky Float suspicion forced him to use it.
Using it saved Qin Lunâs near two-week break. Returning later, breaks stacked to a full month. Not lost.
But by then, he trusted heâd have Sky Floatâs recognition. Whether entering Sky Floatâs newbie team or staying outer, unless wanting team war, Chaos Team couldnât touch him.
Not about face. In Apostlesâ world, new bloods meant a teamâs future. Apostles respected strength. Big teams losing new recruits invited wolvesâ eyes or worse.
Apostles stayed high-risk, even in big teams. Across Shattered Starry Skyâs countless years, countless strong big and super teams had risen and vanished.
Often, a brief weak phase destroyed glorious big teams. Atlantis, once with tens of thousands forming an Apostile Army, stood recent proof.
To Apostles, retreat equaled death. Advance or perish! If two big teams clashed while Qin Lun stayed at Devilâs Horn, heâd turn to dust first.
Of course, Qin Lun knew his choice had risks.
Henceforth, willing or not, his forehead bore Sky Float and Apostile Monumentâs mark. While staying in Devilâs Horn, he couldnât switch side. Sky Floatâs protective debt needed repaying.
But a relatively free neutral faction suited low-strength Serial Killers like them. Thatâs why Hill and others didnât object much.
âApostile Soul Mark hasnât faced Space-Time Law rejection yet. Unable to enter Boundary DimensionâŠâ
âDetecting Synchronous Teleporter. Apostile Soul Markâs frequency now matches teamâs. Boundary Dimension entered. Shattered Laws activatingâŠâ
âDetected team status: temporary Silver Team. Prioritizing team rank promotion coordination first, overall strength second. Starting Quest World matchingâŠâ
âCalculated: team highest Contributor Points lacking 103 till tier three Apostle. Matching high-intensity Otherworld Mission. Transferring to ED771 Mid-Magic WorldâŠâ
âApostile Soul Mark placed into dead plot characterâs body. Reshaping it into a Law Body! (Cost: 5000 Shattered Crystal, settled after return.)â
âLaw Body synchronizing with World Law data⊠Sealing Apostle items/skills contradicting local lawsâŠâ

âNotice: Detected magical seal on Apostle. Balancing Apostle strength with mission difficulty, paying 10,000 Shattered Crystal temporarily lowers the skill one major tier to avoid seal. Skill level restores upon Shattered Starry Sky return.â

World Background:
FaerĂ»n, a continent within the Toril World, stood central among other landsâthe key hub all nations relied on.
From the Endless Wastesâ frozen grasslands to the Sword Coastâs stormy peaks, FaerĂ»n bloomed with ruins and kingdoms. Dozens of race nations, hundreds of city-states, countless tribes and villages formed its civilization.
Within its vast deserts, deep jungles, jagged mountains, and blue lakes traveled minstrels, merchants, caravans, soldiers, sailors and resolute adventurers.
Weird tales from distant lands drew reckless youth into adventure. Sometimes a map lured glory-seeking novices deep into Faerûn.
For fame or fortune, hundreds of race âwould-be heroesâ reached cities like Deepwater City yearly. Mostly from backwater tribes, facing perilous quests.
Faerûn brimmed with fallen empires. Great races rose and fell over time.
Of many races, about ten formed 90% population, dominated by humans. Though brief rulers relatively, humanity now held FaerĂ»nâs fate.
While humans thrived, two ancient racesâElves and Dwarvesârebuilt homes between woods and peaks. Passed their peak, FaerĂ»n still held their stone, wood, and magic marvels.
Amid expanding human borders, fortified Dwarf holds and twisting, stunning Elf cities remained.
Half-Beings and Gnomes never matched Elf/Dwarf heights. Yet better adapted to human rise. Half-Beings grew via exploiting old race conflicts.
Creating few settlements, Half-Being dwellings peppered human lands. Gnomes preferred underground life to castles, though surface Gnome spots appeared.
Other rare races counted civilized too. Centaurs roamed northern woods, merfolk ruled warm southern seas.
While ruling FaerĂ»n, humans faced savage threatsâmostly Goblins, Orcs, Ogres and kin.
Lurking foul valleys and caves, theyâd surge forth slashing through unlucky towns.
But FaerĂ»nâs underground dwarfed them. In the dark, Drow Elves, Beholders, and Mind Flayers craved surface conquest and enslaving all races, aspiring to rule Prime Material World Toril.
Yet despite goblins and underground darkness, their threat wasnât humanity or lawful citiesâ worst. That honor belonged to FaerĂ»nâs most terrifying beingsâdragons!
Unknown how many hid icy peaks or deep forests. But even one dragon could raze great cities. Sometimes countless dragons darkened skies, burning all with fearsome wrath.
Besides savage threats, FaerĂ»nâs lawful creatures feared multiple faiths and gods. Clashing god alignments often sparked believersâ wars, shadowing the land.
Note: This Prime Material Worldâs multi-dimensional. Apostles dying here scatter random gear.
Time till entry: Thirty seconds.
Countdown start: 30, 29, 28âŠ
