Chapter 58
"Why do you look so surprised?" Alex asked, his voice carrying a chillingly calm undertone that seemed to freeze the very air. "Or are you shocked that the people you hired, which Iām sure must have cost a fortune, were unable to harm me in the slightest?"
The boss, who had been smug and confident a while ago, looked like he had just aged a decade in a short amount of time. He took a few shaky steps back as his eyes darted from the groaning men on the floor to the handsome boy standing before him with a smile on his face. He swallowed hard and forced a composed expression over his trembling face.
"Ok Iāll admit that you really are impressive. Being able to hold your own against three professional hitmen... speaks volumes about your fighting prowess. Truly. But letās be real here. Beating me will only be pointless, so how about we make a deal? You will go home and forget this ever happened. And Iāll give you one point five million dollars right this moment. Do we have a deal?" The boss said casually, but Alex had already picked up the slight quiver in his voice.
It was really obvious that man was scared of him, but wasnāt he the same person who, earlier before, was looking at him with that smug annoying face? Now that the tables have turned in his direction, here he was covertly pleading for his life. Still, he had to admit that the deal he had just offered seemed pretty tempting.
One million dollars could help him with a lot of things. Like for example, he could finally restock his almost non-existent food stuff, he could finally buy some decent clothes, hell, he could even buy a car. After all, constantly paying for taxi had really put a dent in his pocket.
Not to mention all the running he had been doing lately, so a car was on the top of the list... Ehen, maybe after food and clothing, but it was still really important.
"Alright." Alex said as a slow, predatory grin spread across his face. "Send the money and Iāll be on my way, right now. Oh, and donāt forget to make it two million. You know those hitmen really caused my blood pressure to rise up, and I think my arm is strained from twisting that gun. So just send two million for hospital fees. Iāll try and manage it."
The bossās face flushed red to the point that he looked like he was on the verge of having an aneurysm. He almost had the urge to scream. Two million dollars? He wanted to call Alex a greedy bastard. Does he think that money grows on trees? But when his eyes drifted to the bodies on the ground, and the mangled scrap of metal that used to be a high-caliber pistol. He had no choice but to send the money.
So with trembling fingers, the boss pulled out a sleek, black iphone and began to tap the screen furiously. When he was done, the boss looked up with a pale face and whispered.
"Itās done. Iāve sent the two million..."
At that moment, Alexās phone lit up with a Ding sound.

Alex nodded his head in approval before lowering his phone after confirming the alert, though his eyes still lingered on the screen for a minute or two.
His face might not have looked it, but Alex was mentally throwing back-flips at the back of his mind.
ā
Finally now Iām a millionaire! Yes, I can just imagine what to use this money on. I havenāt even had a decent meal since I got reborn... and I also have to buy some really important stuff for my spatial storage space. Just in case of any emergency, plus refrigerators are so overrated, who needs them when you have a spatial space.ā
At that moment, the bossās hopeful voice suddenly interrupted his thoughts.
"Okay now that Iāve sent the money to your account, I trust that youāll let me go, right?"
"Yeah about that," Alex said while pocketing his phone. "I did agree to leave, but I never said that I wasnāt going to beat you. So considering that Iām in a good mood, Iāll just make you less of a man. That way you wonāt be tempted to bother any more women again. And hey, you might even find pleasure in serving the men in your fancy nightclub."
For a brief second, the boss didnāt react, he just stared blankly at Alex, still trying to process if what he had just heard was real or not.
"S-sorry I didnāt catch that. What did you just say?"
Alex tilted his head slightly with a faint unbothered smile on his lips, as if they were discussing something trivial and not the fact that he was about to turn the man into an eunuch.
"Let me repeat myself in a more simpler term. I am going to crush your crown jewels. Since you like stealing women, consider this a permanent retirement plan. You should even be lucky that Iām not breaking all your limbs like those guys over there."
The bossās composure finally shattered completely.
"No...no, wait!" He stammered while stumbling backward so fast that he nearly tripped over his own rug. "We had a deal! I paid you! You canāt go back on your word like that!"
Alex just watched his clumsy movement with amusement.
"What the hell are you talking about? Iām not going back on anything. Yes I said I would leave, but I never said I wouldnāt settle things before I go."
The bossās breathing grew erratic, his chest began to rapidly rise and fall as panic made its way into his voice.
"You are insane!" he hissed while shaking his head. "Youāre actually a lunatic... Do you even have any idea of who youāre messing with?! If you touch me, there will be consequences that you canāt possibly hope to imagine!"
Alex couldnāt be bothered with his mindless rambling, instead he just continued to walk forward. He was determined to teach this man a lesson he would never forget. After all in his previous life, did the bastard give Olivia a chance before violating her? did he listen to her plea before having his men take turns on her helpless body? So why the hell should he spare such a person.
The boss swallowed hard while pressing his back against the wall, his escape routes had been cut off. He frantically darted his eyes all over the room, as if searching for something or anything that could save him.
"Listen," he said quickly, his voice breaking under the pressure. "We can renegotiate this. You want more money, right? I will give it to you. Three million. Five million. Just name your price and Iāll send it right now!"
Alex didnāt stop walking.
"Ten Million!" the boss shouted as desperation filled his voice. "Iāll give you ten million dollars! Just donāt touch Me!"
Alex finally stopped in front of him. He leaned in slightly as his voice dropped into a near whisper.
"If money could really solve everything, then you wouldnāt be in this position. And if it was another situation I would have probably spared you with a small lesson and taken the ten million, but the second you sent your men after my woman. Your fate was already sealed."
The bossās lips trembled. It was clear that whatever words he had wanted to say, had died in his throat. Alex straightened his body and raised his legs up to knee level. The boss flinched violently and squeezed his eyes shut as if bracing for impact.... But it never came.
Seconds turned to minutes, but still the attack hadnāt landed yet. So cautiously opening one eye, he peeked at Alex who now had his legs down. For a minute he was confused by what was happening, but more than that he was relieved.
"I just thought of something. I can shift the location of your punishment, from your balls to another part of your body, on one condition... I want you to find Zack Carter. Rough him up very well, and then tell me when youāve done that. So do we have an agreement?"
The boss nodded his head frantically. Anything was better than losing his weapon of destruction.
"Y-yes Iāll make sure to find Zack Carter and inform you about it."
"Good, and just so you donāt forget our conversation, today..."
He suddenly struck at the bossās right hand, causing it to bend at an unnatural angle. The man didnāt react at first, but then after a second or two, a loud scream, louder than anything Alex had ever heard in his life, echoed around the room. It was a good thing that the room was sound proof, if not all the people in the building would have heard it.
Soon his screams died down. He just whimpered while clutching his twisted hand to his chest as his entire body trembled violently. Right now he looked like a sloppy mess, with sweat pouring down his face in thick streams, his previously meticulous hair that looked well groomed, now stuck to his forehead, ruining his previous graceful image.
"Remember that pain." Alex said, looking down at the ruined man. "Every time you think of doing something like this again... I want you to remember exactly how it feels."
