As Rock Bell was speaking, Elizabeth King knocked and entered the room.
Jane Sampson glanced over and saw a very fashionable and beautiful young girl who seemed quite young, like she had just graduated from university, with skin fair and tender.
"Sister Bell," Elizabeth King greeted Rock Bell somewhat reservedly after entering the room.
"Let me introduce you, Jane Sampson, from now on you will be her assistant," Rock Bell introduced Elizabeth to her, "What you need to remember is to manage her, and make sure she eats less junk food."
"???" Jane Sampson thought she had heard wrong.
James Black, sitting on the sofa, let out a low chuckle. Jane Sampson pursed her lips and shot him a glare.
"Hello, Sister Jane!" Elizabeth King hurriedly greeted Jane Sampson.
"Okay, you two get to know each other in the office first; I have other things to handle. Iāll leave the office to you. Iām heading out," Rock Bell, who was all hustle and bustle, directly picked up a stack of documents from the desktop, seemingly ready to deliver them to the Legal Department.
Once she reached the doorway, Rock Bell suddenly turned back, thought for a moment, then said to Jane Sampson, "Elizabeth King has signed a contract with the company, including various confidentiality clauses, etc., so you know what I mean."
After saying this, Rock Bell directly left.
Jane Sampson understood the meaning behind Rock Bellās last sentence. Rock Bell was indicating that, regarding her marital status, if Jane felt it appropriate, she could share the bottom line with her new assistant.
"We will take care of each other in the future, and thank you in advance for your hard work," Jane Sampson extended her hand to Elizabeth King.
Elizabeth King, flattered and surprised, reached out her hand eagerly and nodded, "Itās my duty."
"Letās exchange phone numbers. Iām mostly at home recently, so consider this an early vacation," Jane Sampson gave her mobile number.
"Thank you, Sister Jane!" Elizabeth King nodded repeatedly, smiling, "I was so nervous before, but I didnāt expect Sister Jane to be so nice. Now Iām really looking forward to work in the future. If there is anything you need, just call me, Sister Jane!"
Jane Sampson smiled, saved Elizabeth Kingās phone number, and then turned to James Black, "Letās go."
James Black hummed in agreement, stood up, and walked over to Jane Sampsonās side. After helping her put on her mask and glasses, he naturally took her left hand and they left the office together.
The car was driving home, and Jane Sampson had been very quiet ever since she got in the car, not looking at the scenery outside the window, but sitting straight and staring ahead, probably daydreaming.
What she was thinking, James Black couldnāt guess, but he could feel her mood was down.
It wasnāt until they entered the residential community that Jane Sampson slowly came back to her senses, then turned and said her first sentence.
"James Black, I donāt feel like eating noodles for dinner!" she said with a tone of woeful grievance, coupled with a pitiful expression that kept James Black from getting mad.
"Then how about going back to the Black Residence to eat dinner with grandfather?" James Black inquired.
"Sure," Jane Sampson nodded, "Auntie at grandfatherās house cooks delicious food, letās go there and freeload."
At the mention of freeload a meal, her mood immediately brightened, and she quickly grabbed her mobile phone to make a call home. Auntie answered the phone, and hearing that Jane and James Black would come for dinner, she was very happy, saying she would cook two more dishes they both loved.
The car didnāt stop downstairs; James Black changed direction and headed towards the Black Residence.
