"December? Itās December, right?" Jane Sampson chuckled, her heart pondered, and James Black sounded off.
James Black glanced at the person next to him who was carefully peeking at him. Remembering December was not yet beyond salvation.
Caught by James Black in the act of stealing glances, Jane Sampson showed her small white teeth in a sycophantic smile at James Black, earnestly trying to recall the exact date in December.
What day in December?
Jane Sampson walked while wracking her brains to remember.
A few seconds later, her steps halted abruptly, and she subconsciously reached out to grab James Black, blurting out, "Your mobile phone password isnāt really 321203, is it?"
"Is there a problem?" James Black stood there with raised eyebrows, looking at the shocked Jane Sampson.
"Our marriage certificate was issued on December 3rd, and our home is on the 32nd floor, so does your password mean our homeās floor number plus the date of our marriage certificate?" Jane Sampson recalled this after remembering her marriage with James Black.
She just knew when she first heard James Black mention 321203, why did that sequence of numbers seem so familiar!
How could it not be familiar?
1203, the date they registered for marriage. The previous year she had worked hard to remember that date, but it had no special significance. She went about her usual days as she would on that day, so she gradually forgot it later on.
"Yes." James Black admitted, "I thought with your intelligence, youād never figure it out in a lifetime."
Feeling insulted, Jane Sampson stealthily rolled her eyes at James Black, who had just scorned her intelligence. Stubborn and annoyed!
But why would this guy use a password with such significance for his mobile phone?
That seemed unlikely, didnāt it?
With his personality, wouldnāt he use some numbers with special meaning? Like a team number? Or some cryptic, fancy Morse code or something.
Jane Sampson browsed the jewelry area on the fifth floor and didnāt find anything she liked, so she didnāt buy anything. But when she reached the doorway of the cold drink store, her feet felt as if nailed to the ground, unable to move.
"Whatās wrong?" James Black felt Jane Sampson stop by his side and turned to look at her, only to see her eyes ardently gazing at the bustling cold drink store next door.
The promotional poster for the cold drink storeās signature vanilla ice cream milk tea displayed on the glass window looked drool-worthy.
"This storeās signature is this, itās really delicious." Jane Sampson pointed at the poster with her finger, then turned her head and tentatively asked, "Weāve been shopping all afternoon, shall we sit there for a while?"
At this, Jane Sampson quickly clarified, "Not to eat ice cream, just to sit down. Drinking a cup of fresh juice is fine too."
James Black stood, deep in thought, and after a few seconds, Jane Sampsonās poorly-concealed craving for ice cream tickled him into laughter.
Her acting skills werenāt much of an advantage in front of ice cream.
James Black reached out to take her hand that was touching the poster, "You can only have one."
"One what? Ice cream?" Jane Sampsonās voice jumped, and before she could react, James Black had led her inside.
When it was time to order and she heard James Black order a vanilla ice cream milk tea and a cup of tea, she looked at James Black and suddenly thought he looked especially handsome today.
In that handsomeness, there was also a hint of cuteness and charm.
Chief Black is awesome!
Chief Black is handsome!
After sitting down, Jane Sampson, holding her ice cream milk tea, grinned until her eyes were mere slits. She got her order, and instead of taking the first sip herself, she servilely and sycophantically held the small spoon out to James Blackās lips, coaxing, "You and your wallet have had a hard afternoon. Here, have a taste; itās delicious and not sickeningly sweet."
