She didnāt want to look at all!
James Black grasped the bath towel on his face and quickly wrapped it back around his waist.
"I just came out of the bath room, heard some sneaky sounds at the doorway, and later footsteps heading toward the bedroom," James sneered, "Streaking? It was you just now throwing my bath towel around, so tell me, whoās the pervert? Whoās the exhibitionist?"
That explained why he had reacted so aggressively toward Jane Sampson at first, because the only other person who had a key to his place was Peter Gingery, and Peter was at the Black Residence tonight.
And about streaking?
That kind of accusation, like calling someone an old rascal, James wouldnāt take it.
He came out wrapped in a bath towel, and the one who stole his bath towel was his wife; so if weāre talking details, the one playing the pervert was his wife.
James took clothes out of the wardrobe and quickly got dressed, then hung up the bath towel before walking over and pulling Jane, who was turned away from him, over, forcing her to sit on his bed.
He asked, "How did you end up with the guard team? How did you get into my dormitory?"
"Iām here to record a show!" Jane huffed, "How did I get in? Of course with that key! Peter Gingery hid your key under the cactus pot by the door."
"Record a show?" James was startled, "Iām not a celebrity?"
Jane nodded, rubbing her waist with one hand. The force of Jamesās hand was truly as sharp as a knife; if she had called out just a moment later, she reckoned, she would now be half-paralyzed on the floor.
"How did you know I was back?" James had Jane turn her back to him and reached out to rub it for her. The more wary he had been, the more strength he had used, so Janeās complaint of a sore waist was anything but pretentious.
"I didnāt know you were back!" Jane pushed away Jamesās hand, thought for a moment, then changed her expression, along with her tone, from the previously fierce to pitifully woeful.
"James Black," Jane looked at him and said word by word, "Iām hungry, Iām very hungry."
After speaking, she even pretended to sniffle pitifully as if she were crying.
"Dinner was 15 minutes, how much did you eat?" James laughed, "Lie down, Iāll rub your waist for you."
Jane didnāt say another word; she kicked off her shoes and lay down, and only after James had massaged her waist did she murmur, "Fifteen minutes, I didnāt eat even one minute of it, I didnāt even get a sniff of it. This afternoon I had marksmanship training, you know my shooting sucks, so I was left behind to train extra until very late."
"Hehe," James couldnāt hold back a chuckle with a twitch at the corner of his mouth, "So the girl who scored zero points and broke the record was you?"
"I have no talent! Blame me, huh!" Jane got annoyed the moment she heard James laughing, "Why didnāt you tell me I was going to join your guard team?"
"I didnāt know. I left that matter to Lieutenant Johnson," James would never have let her join the show if he had known Jane was coming to join the guard team.
The thought of her delicate frame made him resolved that he wouldnāt have allowed her to participate in recording this show!
Seeing a smile still on Jamesās lips, Jane got angry and kicked backwards, giving him a kick, "Youāre not allowed to laugh! No laughing! Itās not like itās your first day knowing my shooting sucks, whatās there to laugh about!"
Janeās marksmanship was so dire that even Old Master Black and Grandpa Sampson had said it was plainly unbearable to watch. Hence Jane had always said ā she had zero interest in target shooting!
