Jane Sampson directly broke into laughter and nodded, "Thanks for helping move the stuff."
"No problem, sis, besides, we get to enjoy the treats too." A little boy, who looked to be only seventeen or eighteen years old, replied nimbly and then quickly started moving a box of beverages and snacks with steady steps into the house.
To avoid disturbing Bright Samptonâs training, Jane Sampson did not enter their training base and after everything had been moved, she drove away in her car.
Inside the training base, a group of people gathered in Bright Samptonâs room, each one with a face full of envy.
"Bright, from what I can tell, your sisterâs car costs over 80,000. I didnât see that coming, youâre actually a hidden rich second generation!" One colleague clung to Bright Samptonâs legs, saying sneakily, "Everyone, come and hold onto the rich second generationâs legs."
"Get off." Bright Sampton shook off his hand and pointed at the colleague still holding onto him, "Itâs better that my sister drives an eighty-thousand-plus car than you wearing a car worth eighty-thousand-plus on your hand."
"But I donât have such a good sister." The colleague said with a face full of envy, "Your sister, she really takes care of you like a son."
"My only focus is on one thing, Brightâs sister is so beautiful. Even though sheâs wearing a mask, I can tell she must be a beauty," someone said.
"Of course, look how handsome I am, my sister has got to be beautiful, sheâs the worldâs most beautiful," Bright Sampton nodded with an air of smugness.
"When shall we clean up the base and invite your sister to visit our base?"
"Not a good idea, sheâs busy," Bright Sampton shook his head. "Even when sheâs not busy with work, sheâs busy accompanying her husband, my brother-in-law, who wishes he could tether her to his belt and take her everywhere with him."
Because she made a detour to the shopping mall to buy things for Bright Sampton, by the time Jane Sampson returned to the guard team, it was the rush hour. When she got back to the guard team, James Black had already arrived.
As she entered the door, the first thing she saw was James Blackâs dark face.
"Where have you been?" His tone was even darker than his expression.
"I went home for a bit," Jane Sampsonâs heart skipped a beat upon hearing James Blackâs tone, sensing that King Black was ticked off.
Indeed, James Black was in a foul mood. He had thought he would come home to a hot meal and a soft wife, only to find a cold kitchen and no sign of his wife.
When he called her, the phone was turned off. Her purse wasnât there either, nor was the car.
James Black thought Jane Sampson had run away.
However, seeing Jane Sampson return, James Blackâs expression eased a bit.
"Back at the Sampton Family?" James Black asked.
Jane Sampson changed into her slippers and walked over to James Black, nodding and explaining, "This morning, Bright had a fierce argument with the family. Mom called me to go back and persuade Bright. In my haste, I forgot to send you a message, and I remembered halfway back when I was stuck in a traffic jam, but by then, the mobile phone had automatically shut down due to a dead battery."
She had left in such a rush that morning that she didnât even bring her phone charger with her.
Hearing it was about Bright Sampton, James Black immediately showed concern, "What happened?"
Out of the entire Sampton Family, only Bright Sampton was seen as family by James Black.
"Bright joined an e-sports team without telling anyone and applied for a leave of absence from school. Dad was so furious he even talked about disowning him. Brightâs mobile phone was smashed to oblivion, and when he left, he left his wallet and everything at home," Jane Sampson said and glanced at James Black.
