"Fine, I know," Jillian Carterās tone was clearly filled with impatience. "Oh, and do another thing for me. Get all of Jane Sampsonās information, I want everything, detailed, donāt miss anything."
William Kingās face could be described as particularly unsightly. "Fine, consider this a favor for your brotherās sake; this will be the last one I help you with. I will talk to him about the agent position and advise him to find someone else. I suppose you wouldnāt appreciate an agent who canāt provide you the script for a female lead."
Having said that, William King turned around and left without hesitation, leaving no room for Jillian to change his mind.
Of course, Jillian was not someone who would back down easily.
After William got back in the car, he thought about it and decided to call James Carter directly. He had come here only because of James Carter, his friend of many years.
James Carterās studio was not located in Capital Province, so he had not arrived in Capital Province yet.
When the call connected, William didnāt waste words but straightforwardly said, "I canāt be Jillian Carterās agent. I can see sheās just trifling with it, a fleeting enthusiasm. I just met with her, gave her lots of advice, but she rejected all of it. And Jillianāshe isnāt one to take othersā advice easily, sheās very opinionated."
William was somewhat euphemistic in his description, using only "very opinionated" to hint at Jillianās disregard for others.
James Carter paused for a moment when he heard his friendās words. Knowing William King for so many years, James was well aware of his temperament and capabilities.
After leaving his old boss, William hadnāt rushed to find a new one but had been observing instead. When Jillian said she wanted to join the circle, James naturally thought of William.
"What did she say?" James thought for a moment before asking William.
James could have waited to ask Jillian himself after hanging up, but thinking about his sisterās temperament, he decided to ask William first.
"Sheās like a little miss, only seeing the immediate fame and not thinking about how to proceed stably in the future. I provided all my advice, but she dismissed it all. She was quite pleased with the last idea of becoming a live streaming internet celebrity though. But James, even though you and I are good friends, I, William King, cannot consider being an agent for an influencer. So, Iāve made it clear to Jillian," said William.
"Jillian canāt sing, has no interest in acting, and canāt cook, so I suggested she try live streaming in a luxurious style, which she agreed to. The rest, you siblings can discuss amongst yourselves."
Hearing the term "live streaming internet celebrity" and that it would be in a luxurious style made James frown deeply, his expression growing even darker.
But that had nothing to do with William; he had made a suggestion and it was Jillianās choice, so James couldnāt project his displeasure onto William.
"So, do you have any other plans later? If thereās any way I can help, just let me know," James politely asked.
"I was observing Jane Joy before coming to Capital Province. Jane Joy recently signed a few artists who seem quite talented. Iām keeping an eye on it, and if things go smoothly, Iām planning to join Jane Joy," William plainly laid out his plans. "I heard you have a good relationship with Jane Sampson. Maybe later, I might actually need you to help facilitate a connection."
