In Gwendolyn Youngâs view, Jillian Carterâs behavior yesterday was really very foolish.
A person committing a bad deed can only showcase ability by ensuring it goes unnoticed and unquestioned.
Even if Jillian Carter possessed such skill, Gwendolyn Young wouldnât have felt so disappointed.
But now, in the eyes of others, Jillian Carter has become someone who is both bad and foolish.
"Iâll take her back to my place, you handle the termination of her contract with the live broadcast company," said Gwendolyn Young. "These days when I go out, Iâll watch her personally."
"Alright," James Carter sighed and nodded. After Gwendolyn Young and her assistant took the bewildered and unconscious Jillian Carter away, he went downstairs to settle the hotel bill for the room Jillian Carter had recently stayed in, as well as the bill for the wine she consumed last night.
James Carter knew that Jillian Carter had always seen Jane Sampson as a thorn in her eye. Jane Sampsonâs extremely high popularity during her live stream last night and her breaking of the live broadcast platformâs record dealt a heavy blow to Jillian Carter, prompting her to commit those ludicrously foolish acts.
Jillian Carter has always been proud; ever since she signed with the platform and started her live broadcast channel, sheâs always ranked first on the popularity hot list of live streamers broadcasting at the same time.
The platformâs previous record for the highest number of online viewers belonged to her.
But last night, as soon as Jane Sampson started her live stream, she took the top spot and broke Jillian Carterâs record, greatly surpassing it. James Carter thought, Jillian Carter is someone who cannot accept losing.
But unfortunately, compared with Jane Sampson, Jillian Carter never had a chance to win from the start â a reality Jillian Carter herself could not see.
Thanks to James Carterâs relationship with the Carter Family, Jillianâs termination of the contract with the platform went quite smoothly.
Jane Sampson saw the news about Jillian Carter terminating her contract with the live broadcast company and leaving the live streaming circle just after she had finished sending express deliveries to the fans who had won gifts. Nine gifts were successfully sent out via DHL, and those in Capital Province could receive them as early as this evening.
Jane had the rest packed up, ready to drive them over to Bright Sampton after lunch at noon. It was at this time that she saw the news about Jillian Carterâs retirement from the circle on twitter.
The announcement was made from Jillian Carterâs own twitter, with no explanation for her withdrawal, only mentioning that she had terminated her contract with the platform and would no longer be live streaming.
Later, the official twitter of the live broadcast platform also tweeted to confirm this news, and both parties handled the termination amicably.
"This doesnât align with Jillian Carterâs usual way of doing things," Jane Sampson said, surprised and holding her mobile phone. She hadnât anticipated this outcome.
"Her family intervened," said James Black. "James Carter personally negotiated with the live broadcast company and paid them three million for the termination of her contract."
The price of three million was offered considering James Carter and Gwendolyn Youngâs reputations; the company didnât want to offend these two big bosses. Otherwise, given the potential that Jillian Carter was the person who sabotaged Jane Sampsonâs live stream, itâs unlikely the company would have terminated the contract with Jillian Carter so peacefully.
After all, the direct loss of interest caused to the live broadcast company by Jane Sampson being forced to end her stream was much more than three million.
"Does that mean I wonât see her in Capital Province anymore?" Jane Sampson looked up at James Black then asked uneasily, "Was I too harsh in what I did?"
When Jane Sampson took up the job of live streaming, there was a sense of spite in her heart, and even when she stealthily wanted to play dirty, she had never intended to drive Jillian Carter out of the live streaming circle.
