Jane Sampson and Coco Edwards had just sat down and were discussing what vegetables to order when Quincy Forest arrived, followed by Alexander Forest the tagalong.
"What are you doing here?" Jane Sampson was surprised, "Is your company about to go under too?"
"Your mouth is really poisonous," Alexander Forest rolled his eyes at Jane Sampson and sat directly next to Quincy Forest.
"Who knows what kind of craziness this guy is up to today. I was about to leave when he suddenly turned up at my studio saying heād treat me to a meal to strengthen sibling bonds. I say to hell with sibling bonds. I told him I had already arranged to meet you guys for hotpot, and he insisted on tagging along. Couldnāt shake him off," said Quincy Forest, looking thoroughly unimpressed.
"The hotpot here is delicious. Am I not allowed to like it too? If I came alone, Iād be so lonely. Although I shamelessly tagged along, not only do I have company but there are four beautiful ladies. Why would I refuse such a blessing?" Alexander said, and then looked up to Jane, "Get me a portion of fried crispy meat."
Just after saying that, Alexander stood up again and said, "Ah, never mind, Iāll go down personally and tell the boss."
He had just sat down, and the chair hadnāt even warmed when Kane Forest went downstairs again.
"So, when did your brother and Nina Rice get so close?" Jane Sampson was taken aback.
It was Jane who introduced Quincy and Nina, and their friendship blossomed while playing games, eventually leading to them chatting on WhatsApp.
So, how did Quincyās brother start talking to Nina?
"My brother is lazy. Seeing my big brother and me having fun playing games, he wanted to join but was too lazy to apply for an account. I was busy those days, so he took my account to play. Letās not talk about how that idiot nearly played my level back to the newcomer village; he got into it with Nina in the game."
Quincy had a āthereās no saving my brotherā expression on her face.
"Later, when he overheard me mention Nina opened a hotpot restaurant here, he started coming over frequently, making Nina furious every time," Quincy felt a bit guilty towards Nina, "Itās my fault for not keeping a close eye on my idiotic brother."
"Could President Forest be developing a crush on Nina?" Coco Edwards blurted out.
Then, the other two in the private room fell silent.
For some reason, Jane Sampson and Quincy Forest suddenly had the illusion that Cocoās words might be the truth.
"If thatās the case, I feel a bit sorry for Nina," Quincy Forest rubbed her chin, "Being liked by my big brother, that would be a blessing because heās honorable, responsible, mature, and stable. I canāt praise him enough even with ten minutes."
"But being liked by my second brother, that would be unfortunate," Quincy sighed, "Even though heās my second brother, I wonāt allow him to wreak havoc on my friends. Iāll tell Nina she absolutely must not be tempted by my second brotherās looks!"
"..." Coco thought, thatās definitely a real sister.
"Maybe Nina wonāt even like your brother," Jane Sampson squinted through the crack in the private room door, just in time to see Alexander Forest strutting back in, followed by Nina.
"What were you just saying about me?" Alexander Forest asked as soon as he sat down.
