Later, it was Joseph Shaw who risked his own life to save him.
So, if Chris Shaw is loyal enough, he would willingly do anything for Joseph Shaw.
Whatâs more, these things arenât about committing crimes like murder or arson, but about starting a company to help Joseph Shaw earn money.
"So, is it Joseph Shaw dealing with me? Or is it Jillian Carter making her husband deal with me on her behalf?" Jane Sampson shrugged, spreading her hands, "Iâm just sitting at home, and trouble comes from the sky. Who did I provoke? Iâm so adorable, and yet they canât wait to deal with me like this?"
"Yes, you are so adorable." James Black chuckled softly. Even in a situation like this, she could still say she was so adorable. Clearly, Jane Sampson wasnât too angry.
"Why are you laughing after complimenting me? Donât you agree?" Jane Sampson picked up a piece of meat with her chopsticks and bit into it fiercely, as if she were devouring Harrington Entertainment along with it.
"Whether itâs Jillian Carterâs idea or Joseph Shawâs, isnât it the same? They are husband and wife, so itâs unlikely Joseph Shaw would do something without Jillian Carter knowing. Besides, given Jillian Carterâs disposition, she probably asked Joseph Shaw to help her out." After finishing, James Black thought for a moment and then asked Jane Sampson, "Do you want to...?"
"Not for now." Jane Sampson shook her head, "I shouldnât do anything at the moment because Harrington Entertainment is clearly watching me. âThe Presidentâs Wife is Not Humanâ TV series is funded by Harrington Entertainment. Now, our studio and Swan Goose Entertainment want to invest in a movie and broadcast it before their series, so I shouldnât do anything to draw their excessive attention."
Jane Sampson tapped her fingertips lightly on the desktop, "When our movie starts filming smoothly and weâre about to wrap up, Iâll deal with Harrington Entertainment gradually. Donât they love snatching my notices? Donât they have plenty of money and are willing to pay penalties? Alright, Sister Tin knows a lot of people, so weâll make Harrington Entertainment compensate until it hurts and scares them!"
Jane Sampson suddenly grinned mischievously, "The idea of turning the tables and making money from Harrington Entertainment while lying down is quite appealing, donât you think?"
"Alright." James Black nodded.
"But after you told me about this matter, I reckon the female lead of âThe Presidentâs Wife is Not Humanâ might be switched to Jillian Carter." Jane Sampson said, "At first, the original female supporting role was suddenly replaced, and she never joined the set. Thinking about it, it could be that Jillian Carter got married, and with the Carter Family being strict shortly after the marriage, she probably didnât have the chance to come to the Capital Province and join us on the set right away."
"Thatâs not right." Jane Sampson shook her head again, "Itâs like they planned to replace the script from the very beginning, so Jillian Carter didnât need to be on set before the new script came out. Coming would be a waste of time, and letting us join the set was just to stall us."
Jane Sampson slapped her thigh in anger, "So infuriating, arenât they just playing us?"
"The female lead is switched to Jillian Carter, so they recalled the original female supporting role. Once Jillian Carter arrives in the Capital Province, the TV series can continue filming smoothly." Jane Sampson spat, "Their plan is really well thought out!"
"So what?" James Black added some green vegetables for Jane Sampson, "If everything goes according to plan, your movie can premiere before their series. With your gem leading, who would want their lousy drama with Jillian Carter? Even if they splash money around, once itâs broadcast, it doesnât mean anyone will watch it."
