Jane Sampson hadnât stayed for a few minutes in Nina Riceâs office when Alexander Forest shamelessly followed her in. He didnât wait for an invitation, nor did he find it dull that no one paid him any attention. Alexander just sat on the sofa, resting his hands on the armrests and gazing at Nina with a passionately affectionate look.
His eyes barely blinked, which made Jane Sampson feel a chill down her spine.
However, Jane Sampson didnât have much time to worry about Nina and Alexanderâs situation; shortly after, Sister Tin and others arrived.
Tonight, Fiery Fanny and several from Swan Goose Entertainmentâs President also came; Sister Tin represented the studio, Fiery Fanny was the screenwriter, along with the film crewâs leading actor and director, a large group charged into the private room.
"Little Jane." Fiery Fanny waved at Jane Sampson as soon as she entered, then sat directly next to Jane, "My little lucky star, come, let me touch your hand and take in some of your fortune."
As for the movie, the male lead role was dug up for Mason Stephens. The remaining important roles were divided between Swan Goose Entertainment and Jane Joy Studio; most of them were artists under them and newcomers.
Every young face radiated youthful energy like the morning sun. The entire private room, the oldest, was Swan Goose Entertainmentâs President, still in his thirties, successfully youthful.
So, everyone sat together without any generation gap, chatting and laughing, looking forward to the movieâs bright future; it was as lively as could be.
"I sought a masterâs advice the day before yesterday. Tomorrow to start filming is definitely a lucky and prosperous day! I believe this movie will definitely become a hit, as thereâs not much of this kind of film in our nation, let alone outstanding ones." The young director was full of confidence, "We will show a new approach to the fantasy genre!"
Todayâs banquet was mainly to have important actors meet before filming starts, to avoid issues among actors getting along after we start filming.
Unlike before when Jane Sampson was with the TV series crew, where filming felt like a palace drama, with intense scheming and brain battles.
Because filming begins tomorrow, around 10 p.m. everyone dispersed and went back to their homes.
Although it was already after ten oâclock, the hotpot restaurantâs business was still booming, with many people coming for late-night snacks after work. Jane Sampson went to Ninaâs office and greeted her before getting into the car arranged by the company.
Rock Bell was already waiting for her in the car and handed her a bottle of mineral water upon her arrival, casually commenting, "Donât think I didnât notice you grabbed at the spicy hotpot with chopsticks twice tonight."
Jane Sampsonâs hand shook as she took the water, staring at Rock Bell in shock, "Sister Tin, were you watching me all night?"
She truly had only taken two bites, one of tripe and one of beef.
Just two bites, she was indeed craving, but she had swirled them in the soup before eating.
She thought she picked up the food quickly enough, but Rock Bell had still noticed.
"Thereâs no choice; your President Black has instructed me. I have to keep an eye on you. He knows your habits very well." Rock Bell said, "Knowing weâre eating hotpot tonight, he told me to watch you more closely, to ensure you donât eat anything spicy, as he worried it would upset your stomach for tomorrow."
"I just ate a little bit, itâll be fine." Jane Sampson shook her head, then turned to look at Coco Edwards, seeing her hold her mobile phone in a treasure hunt browsing, âWhat are you buying?â she took this as an opportunity to shift the topic and asked.
