But she genuinely felt sorry for Jane Sampson at that time.
If she and James Black couldnāt make it to the end.
She could only prepare a way out for herself.
Because, even though her last name was Sampson, the Sampson Family wasnāt truly her home after all.
"There arenāt many things in that house of mine, just some medals and certificates I got when I was young, and quite a few books in the study, but Iāve packed them away, so they wonāt affect your use of the study," Jane Sampson said, "If you move in and someday James and I get into a fight."
"No way, brother-in-law wonāt fight with you," Bright Sampton interrupted without even thinking.
Jane Sampson glared at Bright Sampton, "I said āwhat ifā! What if one day we do get into a fight? Or he makes me angry and I want to run away from home? If you move in, Iāll have company to keep me from getting scared."
"Sis, thereās only one room, where would I sleep if you come over?" Bright Sampton shook his head repeatedly, "You better not run away from home."
Bright Sampton just felt that no matter how much James Black and Jane Sampson quarreled, it wouldnāt cause Jane to step out of the house.
Of course, Bright Sampton leaned more towards believing that the couple wouldnāt get into a fight at all.
"If he makes me mad, Iām leaving home!" Jane Sampson smacked the table, "If I go over, youāll sleep on the sofa! If you donāt want to sleep on the sofa too long and after two or three days Iām not back, wouldnāt you know to call James and have him bring me home?"
Jane Sampson inwardly complained about Bright Sampton, calling him dumb!
Like that, she could give herself an excuse!
"You could just pretend youāre annoyed that Iām staying there and call James, and wonāt James have to come to make up with me first?" Jane Sampson hummed proudly, "This is what I call a strategy, do you get it?"
"Seems like itās not just women before marriage who overthink, but even more so after marriage," Bright Sampton grinned, "If you want brother-in-law to coax you home, do you even need me to intervene? Just post something pitiful and wronged on Moments, and brother-in-law will see it and feel sorry, rushing to bring you back immediately."
"If I post, wouldnāt that imply Iām hinting at him? Then Iāve lost the fight!" Jane Sampson shook her head, "No way! If I lose, heāll just monitor me even more strictly!"
Bright Sampton gave Jane Sampson a graceful glance, as if to say āgo ahead, dream onā.
Apart from James Black being in the guard team.
If she, Jane Sampson, had a chance to leave home right under James Blackās nose, Bright Sampton would write his name backward!
"Alright, alright, then you go bring me the key," Bright Sampson nodded, agreeing to move into Jane Sampsonās place.
The key to that house was in a drawer in the walking closet of the room upstairs; there were also two spare keys, one in her and Jamesās home, and one at the property management; the cleaning Aunt got in using the key from the property.
After giving the key to Bright Sampson, Jane Sampson informed the property management and the cleaning Aunt that someone was moving in and arranged for the cleaning schedule to change from once a week to twice a week after someone moved in.
The Great General downstairs was barking, and Jane Sampson knew someone was home and quickly went back inside the room.
A while later, Aunt came upstairs to knock on Jane Sampsonās room door, telling her that James Carter and Mrs. Carter were here and the Old Sir wanted Jane Sampson to go down for a talk.
