The three of them ate lunch in the dining hall downstairs at the hotel. During the meal, Jane Sampson finally witnessed the attitude of someone determined to lose weight.
James Carterās midday lunch was just a vegetable salad with a tiny bit of beef. He hadnāt touched a single grain of rice, and it was said that he hadnāt eaten such staples for a good while.
Coco Edwards had never been so hard on herself even when she wanted to lose weight the most. If she didnāt eat rice for a few days, Coco would feel like her belly was never full.
Jane Sampson watched James Black fill her bowl with rice again, and once more felt that if she kept eating like this, sheād definitely gain weight quickly. On that day, Jane and James didnāt leave the house and went to bed early in the evening. Early the next morning, Jane once again endured the torturous early rise, leaning bonelessly against James Black while brushing her teeth, her head bobbing like a little chicken pecking at grains, almost loosening her grip on the toothbrush.
"Slept the whole day yesterday, still sleepy?" James Black, supporting Jane Sampsonās back of the head with his hand, asked with a smile, "Donāt get upset when I call you Mrs. Piggy."
"Maybe I slept too much yesterday, so my body hasnāt responded yet. It still thinks Iām going to keep sleeping today like yesterday," Jane Sampson yawned and felt a bit energized after washing her face.
Turning to James Black, she asked, "Why are you up so early? Itās only over five oāclock, you could sleep more."
"Iām going to the film set with you," James Black said.
"Youāre coming to the film set with me?!" Jane Sampson wondered if she had misheard, "So while Iām acting, youāll just be waiting next to me? The whole day, there are even a few night scenes, you might get so bored waiting that grass will grow on your head!"
Jane Sampson thought that waiting like that would try anyoneās patience.
"You can stay at the hotel or wander around nearby, and come back when Iām done filming, or I could text you when Iām done, and you can come to the film set to pick me up!" Jane Sampson seriously suggested to James Black.
"No need, Iāll just watch over you there," James Black refused.
After breakfast, James Black drove Jane Sampson, Coco Edwards, and Harry Little Money to the film set.
Once they arrived, Jane Sampson pulled James Black to sit in her spot, then opened her backpack, and like magic, started taking stuff out one after another.
"If youāre hungry, you can eat some small cookies to pad your belly. If youāre bored, eat some sunflower seeds, and you can have a lollipop too. Thereās water in the kettle, drink if youāre thirsty. In the bag, thereās also potato chips, dried fruits, all of which are really delicious!" Jane Sampson simply stuffed the entire bag into James Blackās arms.
Then, unexpectedly meeting James Blackās somewhat dangerous gaze, Jane Sampsonās survival instinct kicked in.
"I didnāt sneak snacks! Theyāre not mine, I specifically asked Coco Edwards to buy them for you! I was afraid youād be too bored waiting," Jane Sampson exclaimed, "I really didnāt sneak snacks; if you donāt believe me, ask Coco and Harry Little Money."
Pausing for a moment, Jane Sampson began confessing a part of the truth, "Alright! The lollipop is from home, bought for me by Peter Gingery!"
Not only confessing, but she also actively ratted out her accomplice.
"The rest were bought by Coco for me," Jane Sampson poked James Blackās shoulder, "Now do you finally believe me? If you still donāt, you can ask Coco!"
