At this moment, the Swift family members were being held in the interrogation room when a pair of siblings arrived outside. The police knew that these two were the children of Troy Swift’s husband and wife who had been kicked out of the family house years ago by Sir Swift, and had never been heard from again since.

Sir Swift stared dumbfounded at the young man in front of him. “I know you plan to shoulder all the guilt and protect Tracy at all costs. As long as she’s safe and sound, the Swift family will have a chance to rise again.”

This insight struck a chord in Sir Swift’s heart, and an ominous feeling crept in.

“But do you really think Tracy has that ability?” Meredith sneered, idly playing with a piece of porcelain in his hand—the token representing the identity of the head of the Swift family.

The Swift family had made their fortune from the porcelain business and later became one of the four great porcelain aristocratic families. So a porcelain token was used to represent the head of the family. Now this symbol of the family head’s identity was in Meredith’s hands.

Sir Swift couldn’t believe that the two outcasts he had kicked out of his home seven years ago had returned and not only snatched away his precious company but also the token. They had been left homeless and hungry on the streets, incapable of achieving this!

“Sir, you must be very curious where we got the money to buy the Swift family shares and how we could easily get our hands on the token? This seems like an impossible thing, but we have effortlessly obtained it.”

Tracy, standing beside them, cried her eyes out, “Cousin, we have the same blood relationship—how could you bear to watch us suffer like this here? Even if you don’t care about us, think about the family!”

“Shut up!” Meredith scolded, then turned his gaze back to Sir Swift, “As you thought, when we were kicked out seven years ago, my sister Lilith and I were left homeless, hungry and cold, with no money for school.”

“In your eyes, kicking us out of the Swift family meant that even if we survived, we would have run around just to eat and dress warmly, without any future prospects. But Lilith and I are not like the useless Tracy. The harder the environment, the greater our fighting spirit. We knew that we had to make an effort to break free from this predicament.”

With those words, Tracy’s face turned pale, feeling utterly humiliated.

Meredith smiled faintly, “Lilith and I have always loved computers, and our parents also trained us in this area.
