They could now meet Manning Warwick at the apprenticeship banquet, even personally introduced by Zora Hughes. This was a golden opportunity, so why would Xaviera Evans refuse it?

Cory’s face darkened; Xaviera wanted to get closer to Manning Warwick through Zora’s connections but still showed no respect to the Hughes family? Did she really think that entering Cloud House would earn her Manning Warwick’s appreciation? Without Zora’s introduction, how could Manning Warwick possibly pay attention to her!

Xaviera was humiliating him in front of everyone. Frustrated, he blurted out, "Xaviera, how could you ignore your elders?"

Cory could hardly suppress his anger, but he couldn’t make a scene in front of so many guests. Holding back his rage, he pretended to be gentle and said, "Xaviera, didn’t you turn down Zora’s invitation earlier? What made you change your mind? Did you deceive the staff to sneak in here?"

Upon hearing this, everyone’s eyes were filled with ridicule and disdain. Zora had invited Xaviera long ago, but she had clearly refused. Now she came here after deceiving the staff. What was she up to?
