"And someone like him thinks he can pursue Xaviera? He has no shame!"

Larry Rome, hearing the whisperings among the crowd, was filled with rage, his eyes wide and round. He shouted, "Who said that? Stand up!"

The crowd glanced at him, but no one spoke up. He stood in the middle, his face extremely embarrassed, before leaving with a few friends, all of them looking dejected.

On the other side, Gaby Rome caught up with Xaviera. "Xaviera, thank goodness my brother left. If he saw this scene, that kid would have had a terrible ending!"

Xaviera’s face was indifferent. To her, Larry Rome was just a baffling passer-by who couldn’t occupy her mind. She would forget about him soon enough.

While they were between classes, Gaby Rome hurriedly sent the latest Star orders to Xaviera, briefly explained the situation, and left.

At two in the afternoon, the bell rang after Design Class 3. Xaviera’s last class was over, and the students excitedly grabbed their bags and rushed out. In a short time, only Xaviera and a few committee members were left in the classroom.

Just as Xaviera was about to pack up and leave, she suddenly heard a loud noise of high heels in the hallway. In the quiet environment, the sound was especially clear. It seemed deliberate, and it was somewhat annoying.

Then a haughty and arrogant voice came from the doorway, "Who is Xaviera Evans?"

The crowd looked in the direction of the sound, and they saw a middle-aged woman dressed in rich clothes standing at the doorway, blocking their way out. Her face painted with somewhat exaggerated makeup and her eyes full of contempt.

Xaviera gave her a glance, stepped forward, and said, "I am."

The middle-aged woman’s gaze swept over her, then she snorted coldly, "You’re a pretty girl, no wonder my son is infatuated with you."

"I’ve seen many people like you relying on their good looks to marry into wealthy families, but in the end, they all have failed. If you continue to pester my son and ruin his marriage plans with the daughter of the HoFo Group, I will never let you go!"

Xaviera was bewildered. What on earth was this woman talking about? She couldn’t understand it.

The class representative suddenly realized when he heard "HoFo Group" - could this middle-aged woman be Larry Rome’s mother?

Immediately after, the middle-aged woman scornfully said, "Larry had an argument with our family to be with you, he even refused the engagement. I know that you want to marry into the Rome family to be a wealthy wife, but I’m telling you, don’t even think about it as long as I’m around!"

The middle-aged woman sneered, "Really? You’re playing the harlot and trying to pose as an upright person? I’ve had someone investigate. This morning, Larry confessed his love to you outside the classroom, and then he refused the engagement. You’ve clearly seduced him!"

The class representative’s face was full of question marks. If this woman had really investigated, she should know that Xaviera was Mr. Caleb Mamet’s wife. She would never be interested in someone like Larry Rome. Plus, Xaviera had already rejected him, and everyone in Design Class 3 had heard about it.

Seeing Xaviera not responding, the middle-aged woman impatiently said, "You’re a teacher, and you dare to seduce students? I’m going to find the principal now. I want to ask him about how the school hired someone like you!"

Xaviera looked at her coldly and responded indifferently, "As you wish."

Seeing Xaviera’s nonchalant expression, the middle-aged woman’s eyes filled with anger. She had never seen such a shameless woman who still acted so indifferent after seducing her son.

"Fine! I can’t deal with you, but someone else can!" The middle-aged woman gritted her teeth and left, her high heels clicking away.
