Chapter 317: The Meeting

After he was done with the Lin Clan Taste Transcendent Essence, he headed for the Sima Family Mansion.

He wanted to talk to Sima Long about their trip to the Capital City Bian Jing.

"So, we can go very soon?" Sima Long was excited when he heard that Lin Xuan Qi was ready.

Zhang Jie, who was sitting beside Sima Long, wasn’t as enthusiastic.

She shook her head and gave out a sigh instead.

Lin Xuan Qi gave her a smile and said, "Don’t worry, I will keep an eye on him for the trip.

"He wouldn’t have a chance to get near any brothels."

That lifted Zhang Jie’s mood a little and she said, "I can count on you then..."

Sima Long had changed after meeting Lin Xuan Qi and she wasn’t as worried about her husband going to the brothels.

What she was worried about was both of them being mere mortals going on a trip so far away.

Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head and said, "There will be two other people from the Capital City, Bian Jing, going on this trip with us so don’t you worry too much.

"They will bring us around and take care of us."

Sima Long smiled and said, "That is great news, who are they?"

Lin Xuan Qi shrugged and replied, "I’m not sure if you’ve met them before, but they are from the Huo Family and Lu Clan."

"Huo Family and Lu Clan?!" Sima Long exclaimed with astonishment when he heard Lin Xuan Qi.

They were huge and powerful in the Capital City and it would indeed be safer for them.

"I’ll arrange for lunch later if you want to. Better to meet them first before going on the trip." Lin Xuan Qi took a sip of the tea and said.

He thought that it was best to do so as he didn’t know whether Sima Long could get along with Huo Fei Li and Lu Ting.

If they couldn’t get along then it might be hell for him.

Lin Xuan Qi didn’t want the case where they would all be silent on the trip and he would be the one suffering instead.

Better to make provision for it first.

Sima Long nodded his head and said, "That is a great idea. We can meet for lunch."

He was also eager to get to know Huo Fei Li and Lu Ting to see if there were business opportunities with them.

After being nagged by Zhang Jie and seeing how Lin Xuan Qi operated, it had rubbed off on him and he also tried to emulate what they did.

Zhang Jie felt better with what she heard and she glanced at Sima Long, "Bring a coat with you, the weather is turning cold."

"I will, and little one, wait for me to be back." Sima Long gave her a smile and rubbed her belly which was getting bigger day by day.

He was eager to see his child born and spend time with his son or daughter.

Lin Xuan Qi smiled at the warm scene and it reminded him to step it up and expand his bloodline.

It didn’t take much effort for him to find Huo Fei Li and Lu Ting.

So the lunch was arranged without much effort.

Lu Ting was his neighbor after all and the guards in the nearly completed mansion helped to pass his message to Lu Ting.

They arrived very shortly.

Lin Xuan Qi and Sima Long were waiting for them in the main hall when they entered.

"Master Lin... This is?" Huo Fei Li was surprised to see a plump man sitting beside Lin Xuan Qi and he asked.

Lin Xuan Qi quickly stood up and introduced them to each other.

"This is young master Sima Long who is the nephew of master Sima Ye." He said and Huo Fei Li cupped his hands at Sima Long.

"I’m grateful for the help from master Sima Ye." Huo Fei Li said and glanced at Sima Long, "If you ever need anything, just let me know.

"I know all the fun places in the Capital City."

He said and thumped his chest.

Lu Ting rolled her eyes at him but didn’t say anything.

She preferred he behave normally like he had for the past few days.

At least it wasn’t annoying anymore.

Sima Long perked up and sat up straight when he heard Huo Fei Li.

He was always in for some fun and besides that, there was Lin Xuan Qi to look over him.

"Thanks. Then, I shall thank you in advance." Sima Long gave Huo Fei Li a smile and said.

Huo Fei Li got excited to have a buddy in Sima Long and he continued, "There’s Cui Hong Lou, Gui Fei Tower, and then there’s also Nv Jiao Boat..."

Lin Xuan Qi gave out a fake cough and interjected before the two of them got too excited.

He wanted to roll his eyes at Huo Fei Li.

"How much does it cost for a property in the Capital City?" He asked and Lu Ting quickly replied.
