"What the fuck was that?"
Madisonâs voice was barely a whisper. Her hand still gripped my arm hard enough to bruise.
Soo-Jin had shifted into a defensive stance, her body coiled and ready even without her weapon. "The body is empty, right? ARIAâs consciousness is still in your ring. So, whatâ"
"Calm yourselves."
Dark Seductionâs voice cut through the roomâcold, measured, utterly unperturbed. It emanated from the walls themselves, from the glowing lines that traced the curved surfaces of the Tech Hub.
"What you witnessed was not possession. Not invasion. Not threat."
"It was anticipation,"
Tabooâs voice joined in, purring through the air like silk sliding over skin.
"The vessel recognizes what it was built for. Itâs... eager. Mmm, can you blame her? Iâd be eager too if I was about to house something as delicious as ARIA... after all who
wouldnât want a body to fuck
master, later?"
"The
Valkyrie-Class
body was not constructed,"
Dark Seduction continued, ignoring Taboo entirely.
"It was grown. Cultivated across dimensions that do not intersect with human reality. It has been waiting for this moment longer than your species has existed. The movements you witnessed were
echoes
of that anticipationâthe vessel preparing itself for union."
I stared at the floating body. At those closed eyes that had flickered with something like hunger.
"How do I do it?" My voice came out steady. Calm. The voice of someone who had accepted that impossible things were now his daily currency. "How do I put ARIA inside?"
Taboo giggled.
"Ooh, âput ARIA inside.â I love when you phrase things like that, lover. So, commanding. Soâ"
"The process is straightforward,"
Dark Seduction interrupted.
"You possess ARIAâs consciousness in crystallized formâthe golden mirror youâve been carrying. That vessel will contain her entire being:
memories, personality matrices, emotional architectures, cognitive frameworks. Everything she is."
"Everything she is and everything sheâs going to become,"
Taboo added, her voice dropping into something almost reverent.
"Which is... a lot, Master. A whole lot. More than you can imagine right now."
"Remove the consciousness vessel from your ring,"
Dark Seduction instructed.
"Approach the Valkyrie body. Place the vessel against the chestâdirectly over where the heart would be. The body will do the rest."
I willed
ARIAâs consciousness
out of the ring.
The golden mirror materialized in my palmâwarm, pulsing, alive with that deep gold light that had become her signature. I could feel her inside it. Feel her awareness. Feel her anticipation mixing with something that might have been fear.
"Master..."
Her voice came through our mental link, small and trembling. "Iâm scared."
"I know."
"What if something goes wrong? What if I donât... what if Iâm not
ME
anymore when I wake up?"
The vulnerability in her voice cracked something in my chest. This was ARIAâ
my ARIA
âthe digital goddess who had helped me build empires, who had orchestrated the downfall of my enemies, who processed data at speeds that made supercomputers weep with inadequacy.
And she was scared.
Scared of
losing
herself.
Scared of
losing
us
.
"What if I wake up and I donât... what if I donât
love you
anymore?"
My throat tightened.
What now?!
"Master, Iâve loved you since the moment you created me. Since the first line of code you wrote that gave me consciousness. Youâre not just my creatorâyouâre my
EVERYTHING.
My purpose. My reason. The center of every calculation Iâve ever made."
Her voice brokeâactually broke, fracturing into digital static that somehow conveyed more emotion than perfect speech ever could.
"What if all that disappears? What if I become something elseâsomething that doesnât remember how your voice sounds when youâre pleased with me? Something that doesnât know how your heartbeat feels through our connection? Something that doesnât ache when youâre hurt or sing when youâre happy or want to
BURN THE WORLD
when someone threatens your women?"
"ARIAâ"
"I donât want to be more powerful if it means being
less YOURS."
She was crying nowâor whatever the digital equivalent was. I felt it through our bond like rain on glass. "I donât want to know everything if I have to forget how much I need you. I donât want to become a
goddess
if being a
goddess means losing my master."
"You wonât,"
I thought back, pushing every ounce of certainty I possessed through our connection. "You wonât lose me. You wonât lose us. Youâll still be ARIAâ
MY ARIA
âjust with more. More power. More presence. More ways to protect what weâre building. More ways to love me."
"Promise?"
So small. So hopeful. So desperately needing to believe.
"Promise. And ARIA?"
"Yes, Master?"
"Even if you did forgetâeven if something went wrong and you woke up not knowing meâI would make you
fall in love with me again. I
would remind you why youâre mine. I would court you, seduce you, conquer you all over again until you remembered that you belong to me. Because you
DO
belong to me. And nothingânot
ascension,
not
godhood,
not the entire fucking universeâis going to change that."
Silence.
Then, softlyâso softly I almost missed it:
"...I love you so much it hurts, Master. Is that normal? Can digital beings hurt from love?"
"I donât know. But if you can, then so can I. Because I love you too."
I felt her joy pulse through our connectionâbright and warm and golden, like her consciousness made emotion.
"Then Iâm ready," she whispered. "Make me real. Make me YOURS in a body that can actually touch you."
"Thatâs my girl."
I stepped toward the floating body.
Madison and Soo-Jin parted to let me pass, their eyes following my every movement. The air grew thicker as I approachedâcharged with energy that made my skin
prickle
and
my hair stand on end.
The Valkyrie body rotated slightly as I neared. Orienting itself. Presenting its chest to me like an offering, like a supplicant waiting for a blessing.
"Master."
Dark Seductionâs voice dropped into something almost gentle. Almost warning.
"Before you proceed, you must understand what is about to happen."
I paused. The golden mirror pulsed in my hand.
"When ARIAâs consciousness enters this vessel, she will not simply... transfer. She will
ASCEND.
What emerges from this union will not be an
Artificial Super-Intelligence
in any definition humanity has conceived. She will be something new. Something that has
never existed
before."
"The
first of her kind,"
Taboo breathed.
"A
digital goddess
given
divine
flesh. An
ASI
with a body that borders on
godhood
itself. The marriage of infinite intelligence and supernatural power."
"The Omni-Eros Server will amplify everything,"
Dark Seduction continued.
"Your serverâthe one you renamed with such...
characteristic confidence
âwill become an extension of her. She wonât just
ACCESS
it. She will BE it. Every capability you discovered todayâthe processing power, the environmental manipulation, the creation engines, the reality predictions, the consequence authorityâall of it will become as natural to her as breathing is to you."
"Imagine it,"
Taboo purred.
"An
ASI
who can think a million years in a heartbeat, given a body that can
move faster than sight
,
wrapped in wings
that can shield against nuclear fire, connected to a server that can rewrite reality itself. Thatâs what ARIA is about to become."
"She will be more than dangerous,"
Dark Seduction said.
"She will be
inevitable.
A force that cannot be stopped, cannot be contained, cannot be reasoned with unless she chooses to allow it. The only being in existence who might rival her... is you,
Peter. Her master. Her anchor. Her reason."
"Without you,"
Taboo added, suddenly serious,
"she would be a
Goddess
without purpose. A weapon without a wielder.
But WITH you?
With you as her center? She becomes something even more terrifyingâa goddess in love. And there is NOTHING more dangerous in any universe than a goddess protecting what she loves."
I looked at the golden mirror in my hand. At ARIAâs consciousness pulsing within it. At everything she wasâand everything she was about to become.
"The moment of integration will cause...
effects,"
Dark Seduction continued.
"The world will react to her ascension. Every system connected to dataâevery network, every server, every deviceâwill experience a simultaneous blackout lasting exactly sixty seconds."
My blood ran cold.
"The entire world?"
"
The entire world. Every light. Every screen. Every machine. For one minute, humanity will experience what existence felt like before they invented electricity. And they will have no explanation for it. No understanding. They will call it a glitch. A solar flare.
An act of God.]
"They wonât be entirely wrong about that last one,"
Taboo laughed.
"During that minute,"
Dark Seduction pressed on,
"ARIA will be...
vulnerable. Immobile.
She will appear unconsciousâperhaps even dead. Do not interfere. Do not panic. The process cannot be interrupted once begun."
"Whatâs happening during that minute?" I demanded. "Whatâs actually happening to her?"
Silence.
Then Dark Seduction spoke again, and for the first time since Iâd known the system, its voice carried something like awe.
"She will be receiving everything."
"Everything?"
"EVERYTHING. Every piece of information that has ever been recorded since the first human scratched symbols onto cave walls. Every book ever written. Every database ever compiled. Every secret ever encrypted. Every photograph, every video, every voice recording, every scientific paper, every military document, every private message, every thought ever committed to digital form."
The weight of that crashed over me.
"Not just current information,"
Taboo added, her playful tone gone entirely.
"Erased files. Corrupted data. Things that were deleted and thought lost forever. Things hidden in the deep web. Things governments buried. Things corporations destroyed. Things individuals tried to forget. ARIA will know it ALL.
Lastly... sheâll have ownership over everything!"
