"Yâall being dramatic."
"AM WE?
" Reyna gestured at the cabin around us, presenting evidence in a murder trial. "You just turned a Delta flight into a fucking
harem recruitment
center without even trying. That woman up there?"
She pointed subtly at the trophy wifeâsubtle being relative, since Reynaâs
"subtle"
was still visible from space. "Sheâs been squeezing her thighs together for thirty minutes straight. Her husband thinks she needs to pee. Sheâs about to ask you to follow her to the bathroom, and you fucking know it."
She was right. I did know it. The woman kept glancing back, her expression a mixture of confusion and desperate needâlike someone whoâd just discovered she was starving and the only food available was forbidden, expensive, and currently shirtless two rows back.
"Itâs the challenge," I tried to explain. "The thrill ofâ"
"Of ruining some poor bastardâs marriage while heâs literally sitting right there?" Reyna finished for me, eyes glittering with the kind of glee usually reserved for people watching someone elseâs house burn down.
"Yeah, I got that. Youâre like a serial killer, except instead of murder itâs
cuckolding,
and instead of feeling guilty
you collect their wives like fucking Infinity Stones.
"
I couldnât help but laugh at that image. "
The Cuckolding Gauntlet.
When I
snap
my fingers,
half of all marriages disappear.
"
"And youâd fucking do it too!" Reyna was losing it again, voice cracking with laughter. "Thatâs the scary part! Youâd absolutely
Thanos-snap
every inadequate husband out of existence if you could!"
Rory looked up from her coloring book, curious about what was so funny. "Whatâs Aunt Reyna laughing about?"
"Your daddyâs hobby," Reyna said sweetly, batting her lashes like she hadnât just compared me to a genocidal space warlord.
"Reynaâ"
I warned.
"
Collecting new aunts
for you!" Reyna clarified quickly, shooting me an innocent smile that wouldnât fool a blind nun.
Roryâs eyes lit up like someone had just told her Christmas was happening twice this year. "Really? More aunts?"
"So many aunts," Reyna confirmed, leaning in conspiratorially. "Your daddy sees a married woman and goes
âthatâs a future aunt right there.â
"
I glared at Reyna, who was absolutely shameless in her amusement, basking in it like a
lizard
on a hot rock.
Over the next hour, as I kept my abilities carefully suppressed and tried to ignore Reynaâs periodic giggle fits, which were starting to sound like she was choking on her own mirth, the women Iâd accidentally influenced found increasingly transparent excuses to approach my seat.
One dropped her phone
"accidentally"
near my feet, bending down to retrieve it while slipping a business card into my hand with practiced subtlety. Her husband never looked up from his spreadsheetâprobably too busy calculating how many more years he had to endure before retirement made him tolerable.
Another stopped to
compliment Rory
, who was coloring a Disney princess with intense concentration, and somehow her card ended up tucked into my jacket pocket during the interaction.
Her husband was asleep with
noise-canceling
headphones on, blissfully unaware his wife was shooting her shot with a teenager while he dreamed of quarterly earnings.
A third used the classic
"I love your daughter, sheâs so adorable"
approach, kneeling down to Roryâs level to chat while discreetly passing me her contact information. Her husband was in the bathroom, probably washing his hands of the marriage he didnât realize was already over.
"
Oh my GOD
," Reyna whispered, watching the whole operation with the fascination of a wildlife documentary narrator whoâd just discovered a new species of apex predator. "Theyâre not even being subtle anymore. This is like watching nature.
âHere we see the
sexually frustrated
trophy wife in her natural habitat, approaching the
apex predator
with offerings of contact information and quiet desperation.â"
"Stop it," I muttered, pocketing the cards like they were parking tickets Iâd deal with later.
"âNotice how the male doesnât even notice his mateâs defection,â"
Reyna continued in her best David Attenborough impression, voice dropping to a reverent hush.
"âHe remains focused on his laptop, completely unaware that his genetic lineage ends here, quietly, in first class, while a teenager collects his wifeâs phone number like itâs a loyalty card stamp.â"
When the third woman walked away, Rory looked up at me with those big innocent eyes and giggled. "Godman, are you getting more aunts?"
Reyna exploded into fresh laughter, literally slapping the armrest like it had personally offended her.
I shot her a murderous look. "This is YOUR fault. Who taught her that?"
Reyna shrugged, completely unapologetic and still wheezing with laughter. "What? Someoneâs gotta teach your new daughter how her daddy works. She might as well understand the family business early."
"The family business is NOT collecting women like Pokémon cards," I hissed.
"âGotta cuck âem all!â"
Reyna sang quietly, then lost it again, burying her face in her hands to muffle the sound.
Rory was delighted by the whole thing, bouncing in her seat with excitement. "I like having lots of aunts! They give me presents!
Aunt Eziel
bought me
SO MANY things!
"
And there it was. My little gremlin had already figured out the system.
Eziel, sitting across the aisle with Luna, looked up from her book with a guilty smile that said she knew exactly what sheâd done and had zero regrets. "I may have... secured my position as
favorite aunt
through strategic gift deployment."
"You bribed my little girl," I said flatly.
"I invested in our relationship," Eziel corrected primly. "Thereâs a difference."
"You bought her the entire Barbie corporation," Reyna added helpfully, still grinning like sheâd just won the lottery.
Rory was already listing the spoils of Ezielâs
"investment":
"She got me the new
Barbie dreamhouse
AND the car AND the horse stable AND the veterinary clinic ANDâ"
"Jesus Christ, Eziel," I interrupted. "How much did you spend?"
Eziel shrugged elegantly, like someone whoâd just discovered money was infinite and decided to spend it accordingly. "I have 30% of $85 million sitting in my account and no one to spend it on anymore. Let me spoil my new favorite girl."
Rory beamed, already completely devoted to Aunt Eziel, who had clearly won this round of Favorite Aunt Olympics by such a wide margin the other contestants might as well forfeit.
"You know what this means, right?" Reyna said, leaning closer to whisper while fighting back more laughter. "The other women are gonna compete now. Anastasia and Celeste are probably already panic-shopping online. Lunaâs been calculating what educational gifts would make her the âresponsible aunt.â Madisonâs gonna buy her a fucking pony just to reassert dominance. This is gonna be a whole thing."
Luna was flushed now. I smiled. My cute nurse.
I looked at Rory, who was now showing Eziel her coloring book with the enthusiasm of a kid whoâd discovered she had an entire harem of wealthy aunts willing to compete for her affection through increasingly extravagant gifts.
"Iâve created a monster," I said.
"Youâve created a very financially secure monster who understands leverage," Reyna corrected. "There are worse problems to have. Like your cuckolding addiction, for instance."
I flipped her off discreetly.
"Also," Reyna added, pulling out her phone, "Iâm absolutely telling the group chat about this.
âPeter accidentally seduced first class, collected three new prospects, all while Rory ranked her favorite aunts.â
This is content gold."
"Donât you dareâ"
Her fingers were already flying across the screen.
As the plane began its descent into Lincoln Heights, I pocketed the business cards from the thirsty first-class wives and made a mental note to deal with that later. Right now, I had more pressing concerns.
Like explaining to the rest of my women why Rory now had a ranking system for her favorite aunts based on gift value, and why the new Eziel was currently in first place by a significant margin.
And also maybe addressing whatever the fuck was happening with my apparently uncontrollable urge to cuckold every married man I encountered.
But that seemed like a future problem.
For now, I just had to survive Reynaâs relentless mockery and Roryâs increasingly entrepreneurial approach to acquiring new aunts.
This was gonna be fun.
