Chapter 2: Marin

"So tell me again, why the hell do you want to go to this stupid academy?"

In the back of a black limousine, a woman holding a glass of wine in her hand asked his own stepson, sitting in front of her.

He cleared his throat and said with a dry tone, "I already told you, Marin, there are many things in this world that I can’t gain with money!"

"Name it!"

He took his hand to his chin and said after a second, "Can all of my wealth make one of the members of the Goddess squid even look at me?"

He watched as his guardian licked her lips while inspecting him: "No, but what makes you think if you go to this academy they will look at you?"

"Oh, you are wrong! The chances of them noticing me now are near zero! But it’s the only way I have!" He checked his clock; only thirty minutes were left until the exam.

The truth was that he wanted to find his way into the military; they controlled most of the power on earth. No matter how much money he had, they still held the weapons.

She poured more wine for herself, and as she put her legs on his lap, she asked, "Which one do you have a crush on?"

His mind wandered about the five members of the Goddess squad; all of them had perfect bodies with enough strength to destroy a whole planet. "All of them..."

"Especially Scarlet ..." He didn’t say what was on his mind; unlike her impression, Ray knew more about them than most people on earth.

"Oh, tell me... am I more beautiful than them?"

He didn’t care about one’s looks anymore, but he observed her whole body, Marin Mercury, his mother’s best friend that took care of him after they passed away. Her red hair was long to her waist, and her pale skin was white as snow. She had worn a short red dress with her long legs; very few things were left to the imagination. "It’s hard to decide! I can’t answer."

Marin smirked and opened her legs a little. "Now what?"

He saw black panties. His guardian loved to tease him, but now that he was near breaking his lust seal, it was even growing more and more. "For now, it’s in your favor..."

In a few days, Ray could take control of all of his wealth, so it was natural for Marin to find her place by his side.

In a few hours, Ray would turn nineteen, and one of the best things about that age was the seal of lust would be broken. Since long ago, a witch had made men under the age of nineteen not be able to feel any lust.

For years, Ray had waited for his system to awaken again.

She laughed and changed place for her legs to be more in view: "Ok, I’m going to tell you a secret: a member of the goddess squid is on the entrance exam for today. I don’t know why exactly, but the rumors say that she’s looking for an assistant."

"For her personal squad...?"

Marin smirked. "Yeah, she’s just starting her own personal squad."

Ray understood who she meant: Aria, the vanguard of the goddess squad. Unlike other members, she never had a personal squad. The problem was how Ray was going to attract her attention.

"Anything special she likes?" He asked while planning what to do.

"Killing, violence, oh, and hot boys like you!"

"And having a zoo of different species." Ray thought to himself the best action was to stay as far as possible from them for now, but he had to act.

Ray didn’t respond and started to rethink his plans: "I should use every trump card I have. Even though my bloodline magic is weaker than others, they shouldn’t expect me to be ready for the exam!"

There was a big difference between those who were rich and the elites of the military; most of them trained their whole life to be accepted into a good military academy, but the rich, like Ray, most of the time just used their family name if they wanted to go somewhere, and all problems were fixed.

"You know her, right?"

Marin nodded. "Of course, the only company that she models for is my company."

"And if you tell her to accept me in her own squad, she will not accept?"

She crossed her legs and drank some wine. Then she responded, "No, the words of another invasion are circling around once more, and she’s not going to accept you just because I like you." She licked her lips: "But I’m going to tell you a secret: her lust ranking is SSS."

Lust rank was just a personal state of someone’s lust system. Ray was going to awaken it fully in a few hours, but he had clear information about rankings. The magic system and lust system shared the same rankings, starting from D, the worst, to SSS, the highest rank. Ray’s bloodline magic was weaker compared to offensive magics, but he was still SSS in it. His passed father and mother, too, were SSS in both of their magic and lust.

He remembered how the SSS lust rank worked: if they didn’t have sex for a week, they would go crazy from the amount of pressure on their minds!

"The future seems bright!"

Since his time travel, Ray had only one interest: power, but in this world, the lust system was a major part of the power dynamics. If he wanted to gain power, he had to have many women for himself.

"You are making me jealous!" Marin said with the most seductive tone she could use that she knew when he awakened his lust system; if she teased him, the consequences would be that she would get what she wants, and that made her hornier than she had ever been in her whole life.

"Marin, you have a special place in my life forever..." He moved to her side and hugged her. "Thank you, wish me good luck..."

His facial expression stayed the same. The truth was he couldn’t care less about Marin.

Marin put her hand on his couch. "If Aria accepts you, tonight you will get a very special reward from me..."

His memories of Aria were vague, but one thing was certain: he was not on a level to join Aria’s personal squad.

Ray had a guess about what that was going to be, but he decided to stay focused for now. "I will look forward to that."

When their bodies departed, the car stopped too, Ray thought to himself.

"Time to take the first step..."
