Jade enjoyed the silence of the city; for years she had lived in the Shira city, but it had never been this quiet. Its destruction would leave a bitter taste in her mouth, but at least she had teleported all the humans in it to a safe area in the distance.
With her white robe, the part of her hair that was golden shone more on her figure. Her hands shook, with her heart full of despair. Rayās plan had too many parts reliant on pure luck, and even if they could deal with Scarlet, another monster had her back.
From afar, a figure crumbled the air and space around it as it drew closer.
As she reached her, Jade could see the familiar face; her eyes were closed as always with curly white hair and a robe that revealed most of her body, with nothing underneath it.
"My, my, why do I own the favor of meeting an immortal?" Jade observed her with cat eyes; she hadnāt even worn her famous armor. "Sheās dead serious."
In their fight Jade had understood the reason she wore her armor was to suppress her magic and not harm earth by just being around.
"You can fight me and die or just die; your choice." Her voice was as sweet as a childās, yet her words were quite the opposite.
The witch summoned her wooden staff in her hands. "You want to rush to help Aria before she kills you, my too-beautiful-for-a-lap dog."
The ground beneath them with all of its buildings cut off from the earth, all moving toward Jade with an unbelievable speed, anything around them started to be pulled toward Jade, clouds in the sky, with all the gases in the air.
Jade held her breath; the gases alone could make her weaken in the long term. With a swift motion, she pointed her staff at her foe, who still hadnāt moved.
Three meteors penetrated the sky, raining fire on it.
A moon-shaped blade came to being from inside of Scarletās body; her magic twisted the air around her to the point that around her was pure void.
A dark light summoned above her head; seeing the light, Jadeās expression became grim, as a level 8 she couldnāt withstand such an attack.
"Heavenās door."
The world around her changed form; clouds from the heaven itself protected the boundaries of her domain. Meanwhile, in the outside world, the dark light expanded until it took over the void.
"Atom..."
The time stopped for a new second, and Witch covered herself with her strongest defense on top of her domain, yet it was ineffective...
Any atom in a hundred-kilometer radius of the void stopped having gravity; their structures fell apart one by one, turning into the sea of nothingness.
"Fuck, fuck..." Blood flooded out of Jadeās nose and eyes; she had survived, but the price was half of her magic, with her domain being torn apart in half.
A fierce attack came from her back; using her staff, Jade blocked the blade, but before she could do anything, another strike came from another direction.
"Sheās changing her gravity constantly; I canāt predict her speed and the direction she intends to attack..." Jade closed her eyes and let her magic indulge her soul and body.
Changes started to happen throughout her body; at first, a pair of white wings grew out of her new armor, a silver armor shining by heavenās aura, with her staff turning into six different swords, two in her hands and the other four around her body protecting her from any attack.
"You have no killing intent, pathetic." Scarlet watched her new form with no difference on her face.
Jade smirked. "Killing you only means that others from the goddess squad will come after me; why should I want to die?"
Their close combat started once more; this time Jade could hold her ground against her, but unlike her, Scarlet didnāt use her magic constantly to attack.
Suddenly two new persons joined the arena they had created; the aura and faces were familiar to Jade. "Calling for reinforcements?"
The Immortal stayed silent and continued her strikes; silver and gray lights clashed together with each impact of their swords, and a second later another one happened.
"Interfere, and I will kill you both." Scarlet yelled with a firm tone.
Jade smiled inwardly, with a little bit of trickery and her armor; they couldnāt hear what they said, and their eyes could mistake them for another.
A giant laser beam was shot from the ground toward them. Before Scarlet could dodge the strike, Jade opened her guard.
The moon blade cut her wrist; blood sprayed from the wound. However, Jade was ready for it. With her other hand, she took Scarletās neck, moving a few meters away. The laser beam hit straight to her foe, destroying her other hand completely.
Scarletās body fried from the beam, but before she could regain her senses, the Witch started to escape from her sight.
"Lady Scarlet, let us take you to a healer... Iām so sorry for the attack." A woman with purple hair rushed to her side; the womanās face seemed familiar, a general or some shit like that.
After a long time, Scarlet slowly opened her eyes. The person standing in front of her exploded into thousands of smaller pieces.
"Tell your fucking military that next time they try to do something like this, I wonāt be kind."
The other womanās face was covered with the flesh and blood of her companion; she had lost the ability to talk from shock.
Scarlet hated when her prey escaped from her grip; her wounds and skin condition returned to her normal state, and her white eyes shined with killing intent.
"Aria, I want to activate my domain."
A voice ranged in her head: "Come here; your target wants to get into the festival too. They probably think they have a chance without powers suppressed."
"At least let me chase her to there."
The voice replied with a command: "Just donāt kill too many people."
Scarlet started to trail the heavenly magic in the air; her inner voice whispered to herself, "Where is the fun in that?"
