“Keli? Has she finished her research on radioactive toxins and returned?” Saul smiled, then sucked in a sharp breath between his teeth. “Hiss, it’s been three months since I last contacted her.”

Saul turned to look at Hayden, who was carefully standing still after preparing the potion.

“You… forget it. Pack up the experimental materials, then continue resting.”

Saul originally planned to have Hayden organize the experimental notes, but fearing that this guy might overlook some subtle yet crucial experimental details, he decided to handle it himself.

After assigning the task to Hayden, he quickly turned and strode toward the bronze door.

As soon as he opened the door, he saw Keli, who took a half-step back.

“Why did you suddenly open the door?” Keli stared with lifeless eyes at Saul. “You’ve grown taller?”

“About ten centimeters,” Saul smirked.

Saul felt awkward but quickly grabbed the necklace, looking down at it to quickly shift his attention.

The chain of the necklace was made of fine silver links, and the pendant was a transparent glass ball about the size of a thumb.

The glass ball had an intricate magical pattern carved into its surface, and Saul immediately recognized it as a type of sealing magic formation. After Keli’s special modification, he couldn’t immediately tell which kind of external force it was designed to seal.

Inside the glass ball, there was a silver-white, metal-like substance. Its surface was uneven, and it took on an irregular cubic shape.

As Saul held the pendant up to his eyes, he vaguely felt that the metal-like substance was emitting a faint dark blue glow.

“What is this? A magical item you made?”

“This is the radioactive toxin I just developed. I’m giving you the first piece,” Keli replied, folding her arms and proudly raising her eyebrows.

“Oh?” Saul was still very interested in Keli’s radioactive toxin. He hadn’t expected her to really create it and even give him the first piece. “It looks very impressive based on its external characteristics. Does it have an antidote? I’d like to study it too.”

“I’m still working on the antidote.”

Without saying goodbye, Keli turned and ran, her hair fanning out in the air.

Halfway through, she suddenly stopped, turned her head, and seriously told Saul, “Remember to get me a birthday gift, and don’t make it too cheap!”

With that, she didn’t wait for Saul’s response and quickly ran into the dark corridor.

The voice came from the middle of the corridor. Someone had been quietly lurking in the darkness while Saul and Keli were talking.

And neither of them had noticed!

The person slowly emerged from the mist-like darkness, stepping into the candlelight, revealing their true identity.

Saul’s eyes shifted from cold to puzzled.

“Hmm…” Byron hesitated, unsure where to look. His throat, where his mouth should be, opened and closed awkwardly, “I… I wasn’t trying to eavesdrop.”
