The Netherworld God Temple actually sent the Shadowless Sword God to oversee the assessment in Qing State, which surprised everyone present.
Even Tang Wu and the others were a bit astonished, as they had some knowledge about the Shadowless Sword God.
Faced with this expert, they were filled with awe.
"Everyone, since you all know the rules of the Netherworld God Templeās assessment, Iāll skip the pleasantries and get straight to it," said the Shadowless Sword God.
The scene instantly quieted down.
Everyone present wore expressions of anticipation.
They wondered who would pass the assessment this time.
After all, the Netherworld God Temple is a Holy Land that the vast majority of the Netherworld aspires to reach.
Itās said that those who perform exceptionally in the Netherworld God Temple might even get an audience with the Netherworld Lord.
For many experts in the Netherworld, thatās an unparalleled honor.
"Itās about to start, haha, as long as I make a token effort, I can report back," said Huo Qiu.
Xu Nian remained expressionless, but there was a hint of expectation deep in his eyes.
Only by entering the Netherworld God Temple would he have the chance to meet the Netherworld Lord, so he must pass this assessment.
Xu Nianās gaze was firm; he was determined to secure a spot in the Netherworld God Temple assessment.
"Buzz!"
The Shadowless Sword God wasted no time and waved his arm.
A round stele appeared in everyoneās view.
This stele floated in the air, emitting incredibly unique energy fluctuations.
The stele was about three meters in diameter, with very ancient patterns on it, inscribed with exceptionally mystical Divine Patterns.
Xu Nian couldnāt tell what material it was made of, but he was sure that the steleās material was much harder than a Divine Artifact.
"Is this the testing stele?" Xu Nian wondered aloud.
"Yes, this is the testing stele. It can assess the strength of your attack and provide an exact value. Only those whose value reaches over ten thousand can pass the assessment. Ten thousand is not a low figure; even some Divine-level experts may not reach it," said Huo Qiu.
Xu Nian was surprised.
It seems the first round of the assessment isnāt that easy either.
"Alright, letās begin. You are free to choose the order in which you take the test. Anyone who reaches a value of ten thousand will receive a badge for the ultimate assessment from the stele. Those who donāt will lose the opportunity to enter the ultimate assessment. Letās begin," said the Shadowless Sword God, stepping aside with his hands behind his back, clearly not intending to intervene.
The first round of the Netherworld God Temple assessment is a selection process. Anyone can participate, but you need the qualifications to advance to the ultimate assessment.
"Iāll go first!" said the black-clad Divine-level expert who had previously mocked Xu Nian and others, stepping forward.
His strength seemed to be at Low Grade Divine Level, also referred to as a lower god.
Moreover, the Divine-level energy fluctuations on him werenāt very stable, suggesting he had only recently broken through.
As he stepped forth, everyone around showed curious expressions.
"Isnāt this guy the Black Scorching Star Lord from Black Scorching Mountain? He actually came as well," someone in the crowd recognized him and spoke up.
"Black Scorching Star Lord? Hmph, this guy is nothing but an evil doer who, relying on his high cultivation, has raped and killed countless young women. Ever since he broke through to the Divine Level a thousand years ago, he has been incredibly arrogant, and basically, no one can do anything to him," someone said indignantly.
"If he joins the Netherworld God Temple, no one will dare to touch him in the future," someone in the crowd expressed concern.
"I doubt heāll pass. Although he has reached the Divine Level, itās said that his Godhood was found by chance and not gained through his own insight cultivation, so his strength is probably at the bottom among Divine Levels," someone said.
Many people nodded in agreement.
But they remained silent, even if heās at the bottom, heās still at the Divine Level.
Xu Nian also looked at this Black Scorching Star Lord, curious to see how much he would score.
"Haha, he definitely wonāt pass. Heās just someone with a streak of luck, thinking heās remarkable just because he found a Godhood. And now he wants to join the Netherworld God Temple? Thatās a joke," Huo Qiu mocked.
Clearly, he held disdain for the Black Scorching Star Lord who found the Godhood.
Xu Nian suddenly found it amusing; a Nether Emperor mocking a Divine-level expert, Huo Qiu indeed had a lot of nerve.
He glanced at the other Divine-level experts and noticed their disdain was even stronger.
Evidently, for a character like the Black Scorching Star Lord, they held even less regard.
The Black Scorching Star Lord was angry and glared back at Huo Qiu; it was clear he heard him.
But with the Shadowless Sword God present, he dared not stir trouble.
So he stepped in front of the floating stele and began to summon his Divine Soul Power.
As his Divine Soul Power surged, a mysterious black flame appeared on his palm.
The temperature of this black flame was very high and extremely domineering.
It seemed his title of Black Scorching Star Lord originated from this.
Many around displayed looks of apprehension, though the Divine-level experts were more disdainful.
"Black Scorching Star Shining Fist!"
The Black Scorching Star Lord shouted, then struck with a punch.
The black flame instantly transformed into a terrifying black flame beam, directly impacting the testing stele.
The Divine Patterns on the black stele lit up, surprisingly absorbing all the black flame beams.
The surrounding crowd was curious, wondering if the Black Scorching Star Lord could reach a value of ten thousand.
The Shadowless Sword God stood silently, always with a faint smile, showing no emotional fluctuation.
"Humph, I can definitely reach ten thousand," the Black Shining Star Lord said arrogantly.
"Buzz!"
As soon as he finished speaking.
The testing stele began to light up.
Followed by a value appearing on the stele.
When everyone saw this value, they were stunned.
Then came a burst of laughter.
"Six thousand eight?"
Someone read out the value.
People around shook their heads.
Xu Nian was also a bit surprised; he didnāt expect the Black Shining Star Lord to score only six thousand eight.
This was far from the passing threshold of ten thousand.
"I said he couldnāt pass, but he wouldnāt believe it. Though he reached Divine Level, without comprehending the Great Tao True Intent, heās no better than us Nether Emperors," Huo Qiu said with a laugh.
Upon hearing this, the Black Shining Star Lordās face grew red with anger.
His eyes on Huo Qiu were full of intense Killing Intent.
Yet Huo Qiu was clearly unafraid.
"Humph!" The Black Shining Star Lord seemed to remember something, snorted coldly, restrained his murderous aura, and stood aside.
He knew he couldnāt pass the assessment, and he believed these three Nether Emperors in front of him absolutely couldnāt either.
Their attack values would be even lower than his.
"Next!" the Shadowless Sword God said mercilessly.
As soon as he finished speaking, another Nether Emperor Perfection Level expert, who had been silent, stepped forward.
"Huh?"
Xu Nian couldnāt help but focus on the young man.
He had been paying attention to this young man all along.
This young man didnāt seem as simple as he appeared on the surface.
